View Full Details of The CedarsAfter a brief stay in hospital last summer following a second stroke, my brother went to The Cedars Care Home in Methley (Leeds) to recover, whilst his general health/medical condition was assessed After a 6-month stay, he has now been able to move on to a new "extra care" facility in Beeston, (Leeds) where he has his own apartment and can start to rebuild his life as he wants, whilst still having support around him if needed. Whilst at The Cedars, he made a number of friends amongst the staff who took the time out to make him feel wanted and cared for, Indeed when he left, they presented him with a leaving hamper for his new home - what a lovely gesture ! Fortunately, at his new home the care management facility is still being provided by Westward Care, so he will still hopefully be able to keep in touch with at least some of the staff he got to know at The Cedars and here all the gossip ! A big thank-you to everyone at The Cedars for looking after my brother so well !
After visiting a number of care homes we decided upon Cedars Care Home because we felt the staff here were very caring and gave us all the information we needed and this made us feel that our Mum would get the best care and attention. I dropped my Mum off here on Friday, it was a very upsetting situation for me and our family with all sorts of feelings of guilt and sadness. But she seems to have settled really well and I think that this is down to the staff here, so fingers crossed she will be happy here.
We just dropped her off and the bags were all dealt with by the staff. Very pleased by the attention to detail and how my partner was dealt with. Pleased with the caring attitude of management and staff.
My auntie's been in Cedars for a few months now. She's settled in and I know she's safe. She's 95 and she joins in with the activities she enjoys her knitting. Lots of celebrations always going on.
My husband seems to have enjoyed his stay.
My grandad has recently moved to The Cedars permanently, following a period of respite care. The care he has received is exceptional! The staff go over and above in attending to his needs, he has settled quickly and has been made to feel at home. The staff treat my grandad with the utmost respect and dignity. He seems to eat all his meals which he reports are delicious. On visiting, The Cedars always appear very clean and I am grateful my grandad has secured a place here. 10/10.
Lovely care home with wonderful staff. Well kept. Good support, couldn't ask for more regarding the care of my father.
Very friendly staff, clean, informative and literally couldn't do enough for my mum, who is very young to need care but they have so far been brilliant in this extremely hard time of transition. The family are made to feel welcome at every visit. Regular activities for the residents and lovely home-cooked meals which suit different dietary requirements and tastes.
