View Full Details of Bluebell HouseJust wanted to say thank you for your care, kindness, and compassion. You are all a wonderful team and you gave great comfort and security to me and my sisters, especially Mum. We first noticed Mum using a knife and fork, which she had not used in a year. You encourage her independence and helped her gain more confidence. Her difficulty in articulating her speech and anxious moments settled. You are all very special and make a real difference to people. Thank you.
My Mam went into Bluebell in September 2022. I would like to thank all of you for the love and care you all showed towards her. Sadly, she died yesterday and you made everything reassuring and supported my mam and my family at this difficult time. This felt like a proper family home. You are a fantastic team and thank you for everything
I cannot believe it's been a year since my 95-year-old father went into Bluebell House care home, it was a difficult and upsetting decision for the family. But a year on it was the right decision. He has a lovely room with many of his own things in it, he can see the Humber Bridge from his room where he used to work. He also has a landline phone with his original number so family and friends can ring him any time. He very much likes routine so regular mealtimes are a hit. He loves the food (home cooked). All the staff are very caring and supporting and accommodating to him and to the family. He says he has slept well since the day he went in. As a family, we have peace of mind and reassurance that he is been cared for 24hrs a day, in a warm and friendly environment.
Our family chose Bluebell over three years ago, as the care home for our Mum following a stroke and diagnosis of vascular dementia, Alzheimer's and depression. Our priority was a residence which could provide a caring, comfortable environment for Mum but also supportive engaged staff for the family, especially as two of her three children live abroad. Although Mum has family and friends who were frequent visitors, we also needed regular communication and assurance of Mums ongoing physical and mental health between visits. The care she received has been first class and all of the staff have been exemplary and provided Mum with both physical and mental support way beyond their regular responsibilities, even offering their own mobiles for video calls during COVID-19 restrictions. Unfortunately, Mums health has deteriorated recently and she is now in hospital but we will always be grateful for the kindness, dignity and affection she received during her time at Bluebell.
My friend received kindness, reassurance, excellent care and support when she needed it the most. Carers were gentle and responsive to her needs/deteriorating health. She was treated with respect and dignity at all times. All staff were friendly, had time to talk when needed and nothing was too much trouble.
Our mother has been living here since August 2018. The staff are very caring and have good interaction with the residents, the senior carers go out of their way to keep you informed and updated. It is a very homely and warm place, with a lovely garden. The meals are appetising and varied. There is also regular entertainment going on. Unfortunately, our mum has recently been taken ill and the carers have gone out of their way to give us support at this difficult time, and always have time for us. I would highly recommend this home to anyone who has to choose somewhere for their family member when they need 24-hour care.
My dad has been recently in Bluebell House. All the staff are very caring with the residents and the relatives. He enjoyed his stay, receiving excellent care. The other residents were happy and well cared for. The home has a friendly atmosphere with very good home cooked meals. I would recommend Bluebell House to anyone who requires full-time care.
My mum lived at Bluebell House for the last 10 months of her life. The staff are generally friendly, treating the residents with respect and I would go as far as to say love. My mum has dementia and often panicked. She was always reassured. The care at the end of her life was second to none. She was turned and cared for as I would have done. The family were also supported.
Please be careful of this home. My father in law is being made to leave as his dementia is causing behavioural issues they have not disclosed to us. Spoke with them yesterday and all was fine, got a call today saying he needs to leave as they have been having issues with him recently. Be careful you may think all is well but things change very quickly with the owners. You cannot rely on what they tell you.
