View Full Details of The Manor HouseI found the experience for my husband during his six month stay to be positive and meet his needs. During this time his needs varied considerably and the staff responded with professionalism, understanding and support for myself.
My dad has really appreciated his time at The Manor House. He described the staff as caring and in one conversation stated 'and I am a person.' As a family we are really happy with the care and love he has received as a respite resident. He has built good friendships with both staff, management and residents and feels valued. I am impressed by the level of care/love given to an elderly resident with dementia. I couldn't ask for more.
Couldn’t have wished for a better home for my grandma, all staff are kind, caring, compassionate and patient. The manager and one staff member especially, always go above and beyond and their care is second to none. My grandma is so very settled and they always put her best interests first. The home is clean and fresh, the daily activities are suitable for all. Food is home-cooked and varied. Dignity and respect are upheld at all times. We are so very grateful and appreciative for all that they do. Thank you.
The staff have been so wonderful and helpful. They are a credit to the home. Caring and always ready to listen to any concerns.
My mum was admitted to The Manor House 15 months ago and soon settled in with the care and understanding of all The Manor House staff. I have absolute confidence that Mum is well cared for; she is very happy in her new home. It means a great deal that I know I need not worry about her welfare, and if needs be, I am always contacted and made aware of any changes in Mum or if she needs anything.
Mum was becoming frail and losing mobility but most of all didn't want to be on her own after her husband died. In August 2022, she went into respite becoming permanent in December. She loved her room, found she had a love for the activities and liked talking to the residents and staff. We, her family, felt reassured that we had made the right difficult decision. Manor House we thank every one of you for making my mother's last months safe and happy in your homely environment.
Three months ago we moved Mum and my stepdad into The Manor House Care Home when it became clear they were no longer coping or safe at home. Sadly my stepdad passed away after only a month but it was so reassuring to know that he was being well cared for in the time he was there. Mum is still in and settling well with the lovely support, patience and kindness of the care staff and management. She loves her room and the view. Always says how good the food is. Family members comment how well cared for she looks. Staff are always kind and cheerful and the home has a calm atmosphere. Although she prefers to spend most of her time in her room, the staff always encourage her to join in any activities they think she would like.
My mum went to Manor House for respite care, having come out of hospital. The care she received was fantastic - the staff catered for her every need, including liquidising her food and making sure her medication was all correct. She went in very frail and came out 100% better, I can’t thank them enough.
My Dad has been a service user since November 2021. At first, he was very unsettled. But the staff were wonderful helping him to settle in. He now is content and has a great relationship with staff members who totally understand his needs.
My mother has been a resident of The Manor House since the summer of 2021 and has settled in well. The staff have taken the time to get to know her and build a rapport with her. It’s reassuring to see the interaction between her and the staff, who know just what to say when Mum needs a bit of additional support. She thoroughly enjoys the various activities and the company of the other residents and staff. The Manor House continue stringent Covid procedures, which is welcomed to ensure the well-being of everyone. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend The Manor House.
My mum was taken into the Manor House in October 2020 because she was beginning to get very lonely, depressed and needed people around her. Since being at the Manor House, we have noticed a much happier and different person. The care she has received has been exceptional. The staff have been very caring and always go above and beyond. There are always a variety of activities that the residents are encouraged to do.
Although my relative was only in Manor House for a short while I felt that the staff were very caring under the current circumstances, with Covid-19 and did everything they could to make my relative comfortable.
My husband went into care after a month in hospital, suffering from dementia and multiple other health issues. He settled in reasonably quickly and has been well-looked after for the past 17 months. The staff are very helpful and caring, making sure that he is safe. I have been kept up to date on his care and they have been happy to chat on the telephone, during the pandemic.
I am very happy with the level of care provided by the staff at The Manor House. The resident I am responsible for, is happy in her surroundings and the staff genuinely care for their residents. I have had regular contact with The Manor House since the beginning of lockdown and am happy with the information they have provided me with.
They took Dad in under (for me) very difficult circumstances after Dad's dementia became very severe. I was so anxious at the time. Dad was lovely, but could also be quite challenging. It worked, they liked him, he liked them and he was well looked after. Under the circumstances, I could not have asked for more. They also looked after Mum in her final days and I was comforted that they were doing all they could. It was a good end. This is a very good care home and especially the staff are excellent. In particular, it was always easy to speak to the staff, and they were a delight. Thanks.
My mother-in-law has been a resident at The Manor House for well over a year now. She is cared for extremely well by the team and is happy and safe. It has been a difficult year for the home during the pandemic, but despite everything, they have done a tremendous job in keeping their residents and staff Covid-19 free, whilst maintaining regular visits/contact for the families of the residents. Well done to the team.
We moved my mother moved to The Manor House from a local residential home. She was sad, depressed and withdrawn and had had a miserable time. She has been at The Manor House for approximately 4-years; the change has been remarkable from day one. She is a different person and loves to bring there, she is so happy, comfortable, clean and well looked after, she thinks she's in a hotel. Cannot praise the manager and staff enough, they are so friendly and caring. Every need has been met, and it is wonderful to visit and leave leaving a happy, well cared for parent. The staff are as ever absolutely brilliant, and I can't thank you enough. The care through the pandemic has been fantastic, and we are so grateful to you all for keeping our mum safe and happy; thank you so much.
My parents moved into The Manor House at the end of January due to safeguarding concerns living at home. Although they have been isolating, and we have been unable to visit due to Covid reasons, the staff and communications with them have been first class. Any issues and concerns with my parents moving in have been dealt with without any problems at all. A difficult time for them has been made far more acceptable with the care they have been given. We are looking forward to seeing them and more of the home as soon as we are allowed.
We are very pleased with the care that The Manor House gives all their residents. The carers and manager are always professional, caring and attentive to the residents. Having visited another relative in a different care home in the past (run by a different company), I know how special the care given at The Manor House is. The care home has a wonderful homely atmosphere, it feels cosy and welcoming. The staff and carers are always very welcoming to family and visitors and they treat the residents like members of their own family. They provide lots of activities for their residents and encourage everyone to join in. The accommodation is of a high standard and residents always say how lovely the food is. The care and attention given here is second to none.
Great care of my mum who can be quite difficult. My mum really likes the carers and seems very happy. She has settled into the home really well. They communicate any issues well. Overall very happy. Thank you.
