View Full Details of The Olde Coach HouseI am extremely grateful to have found this little residential home as needed respite care post-surgery for my Mum. First time using residential care and this has been gold standard. Everyone is kind and committed to helping residents all they can. I cannot thank them enough for their warmth and consideration to my Mum and myself at such a difficult time to negotiate.
The staff are brilliant on all levels. The care they give to all residents and my mother especially is really good. Always willing to help when needed and always do this with a smile on their faces. They deserve credit for all they do in challenging circumstances. Thanks again for everything you do.
We, as a family, would like to thank the manager and staff for looking after our mum who has been in The Olde Coach House now for several weeks. The care she receives is exemplary, and the knowledge of, and attention to her needs was well evidenced yesterday when we had a meeting there. Mum has been in many care homes over the last decade and the coach house surpasses all others in every way. We are very grateful to the manager and her excellent team.
I often visit my father-in-law in the home. Whenever I visit him, he seems too thirsty. I am not too sure how often he is being given a drink, because he couldn't feed himself. I don't understand about the system or I just worry about his condition compared to other residents. I hope my concern will be clear to understand and see him more lively and fresher. Thank you.
My mother-in-law is very well looked after by the staff. They do everything requested with smiles and courtesy.
A warm, clean, and caring care home with a lovely calm environment whenever I visit my mum. Spotlessly clean, attentive staff; management, reception and administration, nurses, carers, cleaners and everyone else always make an effort to say hello and ensure mum is looked after. Mum has been a resident for over two years and I feel the team have made a real effort to get to know her and her needs. I know they encourage her to join in with as many activities as possible and communication about those activities is well-publicised via the home's social media, website, and email service. Mum is very settled and a lot calmer than she used to be and she often tells me what a nice place she lives in and how kind the staff are towards her. I think the care home meets all my mum's needs and for that, I am grateful that she is living in a safe environment.
My father is well cared for, all his needs are met, cleanliness is very good and the staff are very efficient and knowledgeable they are always very courteous when my family and I visit keeping us updated with any issues that may occur keep up the good work
Very caring, efficient and friendly. Mum's 1st staycation in a care home after being married for 71 years and living in the same house for 61 years. She is now totally at home and we/family are not worrying about her.
Mum is always kept clean and comfortable. The staff always appear to be welcoming and caring. Her room is warm and comfortable and always spotlessly clean. The senior staff are quick to respond to any issues that may arise.
Well my mother is settled, safe and less confused. She is entertained in the moment. She is largely happy at the moment. She is a bit lost in time and seems to follow what other people say and agree with them. She says she wants to leave when someone else says that they want to leave. But also says she is happy to be there when other residents say that. She likes the food and has forgotten how fussy she used to be about food. Her memory is slowly disintegrating. In the present, she understands and makes jokes. The staff are mostly good at interpreting what she needs and wants. She seems to enjoy interactions with the staff but does not entirely understand why they are there and what they do. It's difficult to know exactly how she is with the staff, when we are there, the dynamic will change of course. I don't think we could have found anywhere better than the old coach house to meet my mother's needs. I have no overt concerns about my mother's welfare.
Wonderful care home led by an incredible manager and her dedicated care team. Always, the care team are pleasant and centred around the residents they care for. My mum is in the annexe; it is really comfortably furnished, the food is freshly cooked, and Mum gets a steady supply of tea all day along with her biscuits. Very impressed with the level of care and service provided. Highly recommended.
My mum settled in very well and totally feels at home there she is actually thriving. It is lovely to see her so happy and enjoying all the activities. The staff are very friendly and attentive and nothing is too much bother.
Really pleased with how well Mum is doing, her overall health has improved since being in the care home. All staff are excellent but only given 4 stars as the owner never acknowledges or says Hello to visitors which I think is a small but important gesture.
We have been really pleased with the care our Mum has received since arriving at the home in April 2023. The team are caring and attentive to Mums needs and nothing is ever too much trouble. They try to encourage Mum to participate and join in when activities are happening and don’t give up on her when she declines - she needs encouragement! The home is clean, bright and airy and very well staffed.
Friendly staff, pleasant atmosphere. Father treated kindly and respectfully.
My mum has been in The Olde Coach House for eight weeks. She is well looked after and is happy. The staff are very helpful and pleasant. They inform me of how Mum is doing and take the time to speak to me.
The staff are very friendly and helpful. Mum says she is well looked after.
I have no experience with other residential homes so based on what I see here, the standard appears to be adequate.
The Olde Coach House is exactly the right environment to meet the current needs of my mother-in-law. In terms of size and facilities, it has enabled her to transfer from home to assisted living. Providing excellent care for the safety, security and support with all personal care and regular meals and encouragement of fluid intake. There is always someone to provide reassurance and ensure all health needs are met. The staff are friendly and welcoming, this has helped us to adjust to these changes for Mum.
Thank you for taking care of my beloved Gran. The staff are friendly and the home is very clean. I would like to see more activities on offer - Gran loves music and games.
