View Full Details of Haworth CourtThe staff are so friendly both to residents and visitors and do so much for the residents to keep them occupied. We had tea and cakes to celebrate our joint birthdays which the staff prepared and served tea. It was lovely. Thank you.
My mum has been in Haworth Court for 7 months and she is thriving. The staff are wonderful and caring, the food is excellent. Although the building is old and the rooms are small, it is always bright and clean. Mum likes the activities, singing, dancing, cooking etc. She seems much brighter now she is settled. I would recommend this care home to anyone.
Very friendly and caring residence. My husband is well looked after, and he is quite shy but he has fitted in very well. Food is excellent and if I am there after dinner or tea I am invited to stay and have a meal with my husband.
I cannot praise the staff at Haworth Court highly enough! My mum initially went into Haworth Court for respite care as she was still unwell. Because of the care she received, she gained strength and her health began to improve. All the staff, from the more mature and experienced to the younger members of staff, treated my mum with loving care and dignity. They gave not only her so much joy and love, but her family members too. I felt like I was a part of the Haworth Court family and was always welcomed. It is with a heavy heart that I need to add that my mum passed away last week, but I know that she was extremely well cared for in the last few months of her life. Haworth Court as a premises is a little tired around the edges, but the most important factor is the care the residents receive. It is a very special place because of the carers that work there. Because of this, I would highly recommend this care home.
My Nanna has recently been moved here from another care home which she was in for respite care after being admitted to hospital. My grandad had cared for her for 3 years prior to the hospital admission so upon her going into care this was a big pill for us to swallow, emotionally. When we were told she would have to be moved into a new home which was more adapted to her needs, this initially devastated us. However, I contacted the manager at Hayworth Court who was more than happy to answer any questions I had and ease my anxieties. We made the choice to move her to Hayworth Court and I can honestly say it was the best decision we made. The team are like a family, whenever I call they are more than happy to speak to me, I never feel a hindrance and my nan has already made a friend whilst being there. I am truly thankful for the care that the staff give my Nanna and I sleep better, knowing she is receiving the care she so very much deserves.
My grandma has been resident here for eight years now, first moving in with advanced Alzheimers. Her condition has obviously progressed massively since but the staff have always been exceptional. When my granddad was still with us, they were very welcoming of him and he would spend most days there and loved all of the staff. They have always ensured she is well looked after and her personal and medical needs catered for, which considering she is unable to communicate shows they really care. There are difficult residents at times but only because the majority are dementia patients, and the staff know how to deal appropriately in each situation. I really can't praise Haworth Court enough, they treat every resident like family, they're amazing.
I strongly recommend this care home. My mother is a resident and while being there, her health has improved, and she is happy due mainly to the care and attention she receives from the friendly, excellent staff. The food she receives is home/freshly cooked and is second to none with a good choice range.
I visit my friend on a regular basis, but on different days and times. I also feed my friend; I therefore receive the unprepared care she receives. Television is always on, and DVD's are played for her. Hair is kept clean, and tidy and nails kept clean and tidy. Her meals are prepared before coming into the room, ie chopped to bite sizes, but not mashed. A drink is brought in or a jug is left in a room. Carers knock before entering, and they speak in a "caring manner" to her.
The care my mother had over the last few years and in the last month of her life was excellent. The staff are caring and friendly to patients. Food is fresh and appetising.
Before arriving at Haworth, my wife had been ill for 40-years, she suffered from epileptic seizures for a long time before finally the right medication was sorted out. Six years ago she was diagnosed with the late stages of dementia. I coped with the situation for six years, but eventually, she needed fulltime care. My wife came to Haworth about three months ago, and fulltime care has been excellent; she has improved physically, at one stage her confidence, washing and doing things for herself was very low, this has recently improved. The staff have been excellent.
My mother has been a resident at Haworth for a few years. In January if 2020 she deteriorated physically and mentally. The care she received which had always been excellent was stepped up even higher. I spent many hours sitting with my mother with tremendous support from the staff. Her every need were met and when it became obvious she was terminally her care could not have been bettered. The ethos of this home is amazing, so is the care.
