View Full Details of Bradley House Care HomeMy nanna came to Bradley House Care Home for respite care after a fall. After some time had passed, she decided to stay as a permanent resident. Nanna has been looked after exceptionally, nothing is too much trouble. The activities coordinator is fantastic, always coming up with exciting new activities and quizzes that my nanna enjoys partaking in. She has enjoyed trips out of the care home which took great planning and organisation. She loves the food and says that the menu is always varied. There have even been times when she has not fancied what is on offer and the kitchen staff have prepared something that is not on the menu to accommodate her needs. Nothing is too much trouble. She enjoys having her hair done at the hairdresser's on-site every Wednesday and enjoys visits from the therapy dog that visits the home. I feel confident that she is safe and well looked after which is everything that you want and more. The staff go above and beyond, recognising this is Nanna's home.
My mother-in-law lives at Bradley House Care Home, the care is excellent, the staff haven't changed since August 2023 when she moved there. The staff are friendly, helpful and very caring. They make a lot of effort with entertainment for the residents, especially Halloween, Christmas and Easter etc. Every resident is baked a cake of their choice on their birthday. Trips are arranged for residents to go out, i.e. going out to a local garden centre, which must be a nightmare for them, taxi's arranged, extra blankets for the residents in wheelchairs for cold weather, meeting up in the cafe for refreshments and delayed home from work due to the taxi's being late, they are still cheerful and helpful and caring. The residents take priority over themselves. The home is always clean too. Totally recommend.
Fantastic staff, nothing is too much trouble, always available to talk to. Clean, modern and very welcoming. Decorated rooms, nice and bright. Fantastic music room with sing-a-longs. Meals great. Would highly recommend.
My sister's experience was something we didn't expect so when she had to go into Bradley House Care Home, we thought she would be upset but thanks to the staff, it was a good experience and she felt safe. Nothing is too much trouble for the management and staff, I found they really care for their residents. There is a full round of activities that takes place which I also enjoy when I visit.
My relative first came to Bradley House Care Home for respite after a fall. She decided to live here full-time after her initial stay because she felt safe and cared for. The staff are wonderful and there is lots going on with activities throughout the week. Her highlight is having her hair and nails done weekly like she always did when living at home. We visit often and enjoy spending time with her, the other residents and the staff. It's a lovely, friendly, homely atmosphere.
Cannot praise this home enough. My brother-in-law came to live in Bradley House Care Home in February and settled in straight away. The staff are so lovely and friendly here. unfortunately, he passed away in July. I would like to thank everybody for the way they treated him with such care and dignity. Nothing was too much trouble for them, as a family, we were so impressed with the compassion they showed. They have lots of activities for residents to join in with and even though my relative didn't participate in many, when we visited and they were having a sing a long his feet were tapping away. He always enjoyed his meals and they were very plentiful. He loved his room and thoroughly enjoyed the family of ducks that visited him for a biscuit. Thank you Bradley House for taking such good care of him.
My uncle was a resident between February and July 2024 and received excellent care during his final months. Staff are very friendly and helpful and kept in touch with us regularly. Overall, a very positive experience of Bradley House Care Home.
Mum is a resident of Bradley House Care Home and is very settled and happy there. The staff are very approachable and willing to help with any requests. There are plenty of activities for residents if they wish. I know Mum is well looked after which gives me peace of mind. Thank you all.
The whole team here are wonderful! They all show such compassion towards the residents. It's a weight off the family's mind to know a parent is being cared for so well. The activities that are arranged are brilliant and the weekly hair and nail appointments are really looked forward to.
I cannot praise the staff enough for the care and attention afforded to my mother who was in for respite after a number of falls. After getting over her injuries, she is now very happy to stay and is the happiest I have seen her for a long time, the change is quite dramatic, well done to everyone concerned.
The home is always welcoming, the staff are happy, friendly and open, we must make a special mention to the senior carer who has always helped with any issue Mum has experienced. She has always kept us informed of any problems and assisted with the positive outcomes. They have kept Mum comfortable, despite her difficulties with her advanced vascular dementia. Whilst Mum has very complex needs and we feel Bradley House Care Home is the best place for Mum to be, there are always activities going on to enhance the general well-being of the residents and the social media posts always make us smile. If anyone is thinking of placing relatives here, I could only endorse Bradley House Care Home. They are priceless!
My nanna needed permanent care, following a small stroke, when it became clear she couldn't look after herself. In the 2+ years she has been a resident, my 93-year-old nanna has blossomed. Although dementia is creeping in, the variety of activities organised at Bradley are keeping a twinkle in her eyes and staff entertained by her cheeky stories. Nanna joins in with most activities, organised by the enthusiastic activities lady. Nanna enjoys the therapy dog visits, and nostalgia talks and loves having her nails done. Nanna has also made bonds of friendship with another resident and it's lovely to see her socialising. Bradley always looks clean when we visit and the new flooring has made a tremendous difference. The staff make a point of celebrating birthdays and other notable dates with gifts and cake; which look amazing. My only criticism is the lack of visitor facilities for making a cuppa (apparently removed in Covid but not yet reinstated). I know Nanna is in safe hands, thanks to the staff.
I go visit a friend once a week and the staff are so welcoming, home is lovely and clean and everyone seems happy. My friend looks well and gets looked after. When I can't get to visit, they put photos on social media, and I can see she is happy and joins in with all the activities.
Staff are so caring and very friendly. Even joining in when singing. I, myself, have always been afraid of having to go into a care home but seeing Bradley House Care Home has made me change my mind. It is a lovely place to live out the twilight time of your life. The staff really care.
This is the first time I've ever had a relative go into a care home, I need not have worried because everyone without exception has been brilliant! My husband couldn't have had better care anywhere they are so kind to him and the whole family has loads of support!
I’ve been so happy with the care received for my mum. She is struggling with things right now and the staff have done their best to make her feel safe and comfortable. Excellent service by compassionate staff.
I visit Bradley House Care Home regularly with my therapy dog, Ruby. It is our first therapy dog placement as Ruby only recently passed her assessment. We have been made very welcome by all the staff and treated with respect. The residents absolutely love Ruby's visits and always sneak her some treats. The residents that we visit are always very chatty and love to interact with myself and Ruby. The care home, in general, is a lovely place for us to visit, friendly, clean and modern. I hope to have a long association with Bradley House as a volunteer.
My mum was only in for emergency respite care, 8th January 2024 - 31st January when we needed 24-hour care for her. I found all the staff at Bradley House Care Home professional and the standard of care was excellent. The care home was always clean, my mum was delighted with the excellent food and the care she received. My communication with the staff was excellent and they always helped and addressed any concerns I had about my mum. They were also really lovely to my dad, who visited my mum every day and of course, was happy for her to be well enough to go home again. I'd like to say a big thank you to all the team at Bradley House for all the care, respect and help given to us all.
Mum has been in the care home for a few months now and has settled in well. She was unable to continue to live at home because of her declining physical and mental health. She has settled in well and the standard of care she receives is very good. The staff treat each resident as an individual with their own special needs. My communication with the staff is very good and they will always address any concerns I have with my mum and keep me informed.
Although Mum was only in for eight days for respite care, she sadly passed away there at the age of 98. The care and compassion shown to Mum and ourselves, and the dignity and respect given to her at the end, were excellent.
