View Full Details of Ladysmith Care HomeAlways helpful staff from the moment you walk in the door. Friendly, caring staff, always on hand to care for patients. The patient I visit looks well cared for and staff look in the room regularly to make sure all is well.
My father has been in Ladysmith Care for 3 years until passing away in September 2024. During this period myself and family have said many times how glad we were that we had chosen Ladysmith Care for our lovely dad. The love, care and attention to his needs were amazing. Dad loved the staff and they cared deeply for him. As a family visiting a few times a week, we too became part of the care home and thought the world of all the staff and management.
We can't thank the Ladysmith Family enough, everyone from the catering team, cleaning team, laundry ladies, carers and management helped to make my father's stay with them a positive experience. We had visited many homes before choosing Ladysmith but the minute one of the staff opened the door to us we knew that was Dad's new home! The whole team sent out so much love and care they treated Dad as a member of their family. They often had to give us a hug too! They have a wealth of experience and knowledge in caring for the elderly which often comes with challenges. We often watched the staff discreetly caring for the residents and the care and love that they gave them brought a tear to our eyes! They don't just care for the residents they care for the whole family from the hugs, cups of tea and keeping us fed when we need it!
Ladysmith Care Home has to be the best care home in this area. Excellent management and care workers. End-of-life care is also excellent for my stepmother.
The staff here are so caring and they really looked after my mum before sadly she passed away on June 18th 2024. Also, they showed such compassion to me and my husband at all times which was so much appreciated at what eventually was a very sad time. Thank you to all once again you are all angels.
The Ladysmith Care Home provides a caring, homely and safe environment for our elderly mother. Thanks to the staff and their professional, supportive and friendly approach to care, Mum now calls this her home. Without a doubt, the care and support she receives have extended her lifespan and allowed her to retain her dignity in safety and comfort. The staff always make time to talk to relatives and update them on how Mum is, this is important for those who live a distance away.
To all the staff of Ladysmith Care Home, yes it's me. Well, respite, what can I say really. The care and attention given to me whilst I was with you was unbelievable, the finest, best care anybody could have asked for. I went in as a total wreck with both legs damaged and walked out a new man. Yes, walked out. Now that says something. The staff were supreme in every way, from the manager herself to the carers, cleaners, and chef, absolutely fantastic staff. Something I will never forget, my stay with you, I made you laugh, I made you cry but all in fun. Once again, a huge big thank you for everything you did for me, my wife and I say thank you. And I will visit you once I am up and walking around properly. Best wishes.
Our mam was in the care home for 14 months. Ladysmith Care Home is such a relaxed, friendly place. The carers go above and beyond, they are all so lovely, Mam loved them all and she was treated like she was one of the family by every one of them. Mam always said how good the food was and it always smelt good at meal times. We will be forever grateful to all the staff for the loving, devoted care the staff gave to our mam.
Cannot thank this nursing home enough, very compassionate and caring towards my needs for our family member and they were happy to listen to what we were looking for. The staff are all very caring, nothing is too much trouble, the food is very good, staff make a point of getting to know each service member, their likes and dislikes. As a family, we were made very welcome upon stepping into the building. We left with happy tears knowing Dad was going to bed looked after and safer. Best staff ever-best family home.
It has been a great experience and the care given to Mum is excellent. Thank you to all the staff.
From the moment we were greeted, the staff at this home have been amazing both to myself and my husband, from the reception to the cleaners, management, carers and tea ladies and gentlemen. They made an awful experience (my husband going into care) a lot more bearable. The sympathy and understanding are outstanding. I go every day whenever I like and feel like I am family. I never ever go home worrying about my husband's care as I know he is very well looked after. I couldn't have chosen a better home which was recommended by a close friend whose mum has been in there a while.
My family fought so hard to keep mum safe and happy in her home. We were so sad to lose this battle and I was very worried as to what "care homes" meant. I have been actually delighted by every aspect of her care at Ladysmith (apart from locking us out during lockdown but I do understand the reasons). Thank you for all you do for my mum and your support of our family members when we visit. Keep us the excellent work.
Mum had been suffering from Alzheimer's/dementia and went into Ladysmith Care Home. She was there for four and a half years until sadly passing away in December 2022. The staff have been wonderful and the care they give faultless. If we had any questions they were always there to help. As a family, we believe she was really happy and contented in their care.
The carers here genuinely care for the residents. My mum felt she was part of an extended family, staff were sensitive to her needs, thoughtful and responsive. The comfort that brought my sister and I was immense, knowing our mum was safe, well cared for and happy. Whilst mum had limited ability to join in the range of activities on offer, she was always encouraged and supported to do as far as was possible. Mum made friends with other residents and enjoyed their friendship. The manager is accessible and responsive - if you have any queries/concerns/queries, these will be listened to and addressed in an open and honest way. The staff generally are a credit to their employer! I couldn't recommend Ladysmith and their staff more highly!
I have not rated value for money as I strongly disagree with very very expensive fees.
My friend stayed in Ladysmith Care home and I can't praise the staff enough. Unfortunately, my friend is no longer with us at the age of 56. My friend had a lovely relationship with them all and she felt very much at home. The cleanliness and care was outstanding.
The care my friend received in the final year of her life was outstanding. She called Ladysmith her home and the staff were like family to her. the home is well managed, clean and welcoming. Well done to everyone at Ladysmith and thank you.
I cannot praise the staff of Ladysmith Care Home enough, from the management through to the cleaners, every one of them are so caring and loving to our mum. Nothing is ever too much trouble in making sure our mum is cared for, loved, happy and comfortable. Myself and my sister really struggled with this situation, but they all go above and beyond to support us, always being there to talk and advise us, which has been a great help. Thank you, Ladysmith staff.
My grandma has been a resident at Ladysmith Care Home for one year. She has settled well and she is well supported. The family are also supported due to the stress and anxiety it causes not being with a loved one. I always recommend Ladysmith Care Home to my clients due to the good communications and care they provide.
My father-in-law has been a resident at Ladysmith Care Home for almost three years. On regular visits, my observations are that the staff work with the utmost professionalism; they are kindhearted and go above and beyond their duties, ensuring he receives positive outcomes within his daily life. Staff always ask his permission before carrying out personal care, explaining what they are going to do; they carefully make clear he understands before continuing, maintaining dignity at all times. Personal choice is constantly supported, although at times, this does become difficult due to his illness, yet they strive to maintain individual preference. It is clear to see, the whole of the team at Ladysmith Care Home are passionate about their work, providing a safe, homely service, everyone appears happy, cheerful and positive, and always polite, friendly and approachable, nothing is ever too much trouble.
