View Full Details of Yarborough House Residential Care HomeMy dad moved to Yarborough House in September 2023. I can honestly say he has never looked so healthy, clean and well cared for. The staff are friendly and communication is excellent. The home is clean and homely. His room is modern and spacious. I would highly recommend this home.
We found the staff and care to be superb. Great communication with family at all times. Our father settled quickly and really well. Room was kept very clean. Clean bedding, clean towels and clean clothes at all times. He was constantly checked in on and encouraged into the social areas by the friendly staff.
Since arriving, my grandmother has settled in very quickly and always seems very calm and relaxed when I visit. She is definitely more at ease than she was at home.
I have found the home to be excellent in every way.
A family friend is settled and happy and speaks highly of staff during visits. Her care needs are met and she is well cared for.
I will be extremely indebted to all the staff from domestics to management for the care and kindness shown to my father during his stay and final days with them. Their dedication to their chosen profession was and is amazing. A very friendly, homely and natural environment, with abundant activities to entertain residents and their families. I would not hesitate to recommend.
My husband was a resident for 3 years. He was extremely well cared for. The staff are very caring and supportive to residents and families. I would certainly recommend this home.
I would highly recommend this home. The standard of care is excellent. My father lived here for nearly 3 years and it really was home from home.
My Mother in law who has lost all of her family had to move out of her house 6 months ago at the ripe old age of 98 years. The home allowed us, in fact, helped us, move important pieces of furniture into the room. Home from home, I have nothing but praise for the staff, they care about the residents and just as importantly her relatives. It is not the most modern but no one could care more.
My wife was fortunate to be accepted as a resident. The care and attention she received was excellent. All her needs taken care of with respect and dignity. The manager and staff are very efficient at a very high standard.
Due to my illness, Yarborough House offered a placement, in turn, my mother has better care and attention that I am unable to give. Although my mother wishes for me to look after her, I have had a triple bypass and am unable to lift her. My mother is unable to stand etc.
My brother uses this care home for respite care and also visits on a weekly basis for a bath. All the staff are welcoming, friendly and helpful. I have also observed there is never any care home smell about the place, which in my opinion, speaks volumes. I have also witnessed the lengths staff go to entertain and bring the outside world into the home.
My mum was a resident of this care home for several years while suffering from mixed dementia. The staff were wonderful with her care, showing respect, dignity and love. We were extremely happy with her care and the staff always went above and beyond to ensure the residents were happy and cared for. As a relative, we were able to visit my mum at any time day or night and were made to feel welcome at all times. Thank you Yarborough House, you do an amazing job!
My mother had been a resident at Yarborough Care Home since September 2012. We chose Yarborough House as it was friendly, inviting and a 'home from home' which suited our mum. She had recently been diagnosed with dementia which worsened after a thyroidectomy. She was able to bring her own small pieces of furniture and mementoes, she was involved in social events and outings, and she settled well in her new home. Her Health took a dramatic turn for the worse in January last year and she became bedridden and needed more personal care. Her care was excellent at this time and she was treated with dignity and respect at all times. I would like to thank all the staff involved in mums care at this time. Sadly mum died last September. The support given to our family was second to none. I would highly recommend this care home and I would like to thank the hardworking and compassionate staff who give one hundred per cent to the care of their residents.
