View Full Details of Gresham LodgeMy Dad has been a resident at Gresham Lodge for just under a year now. He has settled in very well. I cannot fault the carers, they are extremely friendly and approachable. They keep us informed and nothing is any trouble.
Love this care home for Mum because it is small and there is always a carer nearby. Her room is accessible and on the ground floor which is good because Mum is still mobile. Food and choice are excellent and the staff engages Mum in baking activities which is great. Cleanliness is good and safety is also improved. The only downside is Mum refuses showers which takes some cajoling. Definitely recommend.
Everything about Gresham Lodge is fantastic the staff are very, very good with the residents. My mum was treated so well here I can't recommend the place any higher. Very clean and tidy and the food was excellent.
The staff are very friendly and helpful. Very convenient for family and friends to visit. They explain everything they are doing. Very clean, feels like a home from home. One of the best we have been in. She feels safe and her dignity is treated as she wants. Overall 10/10. The staff make us all welcome.
The home is clean and homely, the staff are amazing, kind and go above and beyond.
My father-in-law was so settled at Gresham Lodge and he 'enjoyed' his respite stay. The staff are friendly and incredibly communicative dealing with all of our concerns and anxieties. The support and encouragement in getting him mobile again were very welcomed. Food was plentiful and my father-in-law has gained a few needed pounds. The rooms are spacious and airy with private toilet facilities. It says a lot about retention when staff have been working in one place for many years and this definitely shows. He has left residential care for now, but as a family, we hope to have ongoing respite care in the future. Thank you so much to everyone!
I'm very happy with the care received for the individuals that I'm power of attorney for, and the home manager always deals with my messages and requests quickly and professionally.
I have enjoyed visiting. All the carers are fantastic and have looked after my husband very well. He has enjoyed his food very much.
I am very happy with the treatment that I receive from all the staff whatever their job is they are very pleasant and their care is excellent. Well done to all the staff, love to you all.
My mom has been here the last six years and the staff have been brilliant to her. I feel that she's safe.
Thank you so much for your kindness while I was staying at your home, everyone was so kind, helpful and friendly. I'm a vegetarian and that didn't cause a problem, they told me what was on the menu and we worked around that and sorted great - it has been lovely. I cannot fault anything at all. Thank you so much.
My mum has been a resident at Gresham Lodge for a year now. As we don't live in the area, we were going to move her to a care home nearer to us, but after seeing how happy and settled she was and decided against it, a decision we have never regretted. The staff are always friendly and helpful and take a personal interest in their residents. The home is in a good condition and is clean most of the time. The management is also very committed, which is an added bonus. We cannot thank the staff enough for looking after my mum. They have given us complete peace of mind, which is priceless. Thank you.
It is the best place ever and I am enjoying life in the best way I can. It is the staff that does it, they are so jolly, very caring, happy and always cheerful. Every one of them from the cleaner, cook, care staff, seniors and management. It is run like a tight ship. They are so very busy but have time for me with a cheery word and a smile no matter how many times I ring my bell. I'm in palliative care/end of life and bedridden but when I'm poorly they're extra caring and keep their eye on me and pop in to see I'm alright. The staff liaise with my GP, district nurses, my family etc and update as necessary, keeping informed is so important not just for me but my family. It is a welcoming house. I'm safe, well cared for, fed and watered and forever grateful and couldn't wish for a better place to end my days.
Cannot fault the carers, they are extremely friendly and approachable. Unfortunately, they are always pushed to the limit. They need more staff, they cannot be expected to be in two places at once. Some areas of the home need attention - the kitchen needs updating, the shower room needs attention and the hairdresser should not have to use this area.
Carers are friendly and helpful. Supportive, can't fault the carers. Although, could do with more bodies on the floor to help them cope.
The manager and carer have been fantastic with our mum since the death of our dad. We have been kept updated on all issues. Despite Mum wanting to go home, she looks happy most of the time and always say they are lovely. During visits, I have overheard one staff member be very short/sharp with another resident who is clearly asking the same question. Food and drink I can't comment on as I haven't seen in person due to the restrictions.
I have been in here for 7-weeks; I could not have had better care anywhere else. I am a coeliac - they are brilliant with all the food for me - not one mistake. All staff polite and very caring - not just to me, but to everyone, also a very happy atmosphere.
The people who work for us are our most valuable asset; this is certainly the case at Gresham Lodge and is reflected in the standards of care and services provided by the team to both residents and visitors to this home. My own stay at Gresham Lodge was as a result of having to be non-weight bearing for eight weeks following surgery to reconstruct my foot/ankle. At the time, I dearly wanted to be in my own home, however, this was not an option, and the staff helped me to adapt in a positive way to my new situation. Once my plaster cast has been removed, I will be embarking on the final stage of my road to recovery by spending some time at a rehabilitation facility. Part of me will be sad to leave Gresham Lodge. The staff work so well as a team that it would be unfair, and impossible, to single out any individuals as exceptional. They have helped me by encouraging me to embrace changes to my situation; they are now my friends, and I will never forget them and what they did for me.
Overall I am very satisfied with the quality of care given by all the staff. Residents individual needs are met and time permitting they are all treated with dignity, respect and most importantly care. I am aware that time doesn't always allow for activities, and some residents won't or can't participate. More stimulating activities should be provided.
On having approached Gresham Lodge in Dec 2018 with a view to finding a place for my sister, we were treated with sympathy for my sister and ourselves. So when we had to find a home for her, Gresham Lodge was our first choice. She has been given all the care and comfort I have wished for her for the last three years. It has meant a lot to me as I am now her sister again not her carer and is a pleasure going to see her and having a chat to all the staff who are very welcoming and interested in my sisters family.
