View Full Details of Richden ParkMy Mother was in Richden Park for approximately 2 months for recovery after an illness. The staff and management team are simply excellent, any problem is soon resolved. Mother enjoyed the friendly staff and the excellent food, her dietary needs were well catered for. Any medical issue was quickly attended to. I would recommend Richden without hesitation.
Dad lived in Richden Park for 12 months. He could no longer live in his house as his health deteriorated. He was well fed, clean, and encouraged to exercise. They spotted when he was getting ill and called either a nurse or ambulance when required. The most important aspect of the home is the kindness and caring nature of the staff. It may not be clear on a short visit but is the most important quality a home needs. Dad passed away in the home and I am so grateful that his last year was comfortable and free from stress.
My mother began her stay in the care home for respite care. During this period, it was decided that she should stay permanently due to her deteriorating health. Very happy with the care provided up to her passing away. All staff members, from management down, were very caring, helpful and friendly.
This is a fantastic care home with caring, conscientious staff, nothing was too much trouble for the staff, who even made sure family members had everything they needed whilst visiting. The home is clean, tidy and well cared for with good availability of equipment for residents. The staff who cared for Mum were lovely, and Mum was always treated with respect and dignity and her choices were always a priority, she was never rushed or persuaded to do anything she didn't want to. Family members were always kept well informed of any changes, requirements or needs and everything was dealt with swiftly when required. This meant we were able to spend precious time together as a family during the most difficult of times. We cannot emphasise enough how caring the staff were and how much of a positive impact they made for both our Mum and our family. We will always be grateful.
Dad was sent to Richden Park after a stay in hospital after a fall. He was sent for respite care while being assessed by the physio team. I really can not say how good all the staff have been here, they are all so lovely, friendly and helpful and nothing seems to be too much trouble for them. Dad has enjoyed all home comforts, and then some, including a jacuzzi-type bath, he loved this! The food has been outstanding, varied, and all very tasty, he has really enjoyed this too. The staff have all contributed to trying to get Dad back on his feet, so we are truly grateful to them all for this. There have been regular people, checking on him and asking him and us how everything is going. Amazing team here, keep up the good work guys, it really does make a big difference to us all.
Very good standard residential care home. My mother spent the last year of her life at Richden Park. The staff were lovely and worked very hard to make her life more bearable despite having advanced dementia. The food was very good and relatives always accommodated if wanting to dine with residents. Rooms always well-cleaned and maintained. The activities co-ordinator tried to include all residents in her programme of events. Just one small niggle at the beginning of being dressed in other residents' clothing, despite mum's clothes being labelled, but speaking to friends seems to be quite a common fault in lots of residential homes. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend Richden Park, a happy place.
My mum has been in here for care and she is being very well looked after by all. They are helping her build her confidence up and get her back to being self-sufficient in maneuvering around when gets back home.
A lovely place where my uncle seems settled, all staff are very lovely too.
We were all very nervous about my friend going into a care home, but once she was at Richden Park she quickly settled and decided that Richden was to be her forever home. The staff always go above and beyond what she needs, this includes making sure that she does not run out of any of her toiletries and essentials or treats that she may want. This is a comfort to us as we are not always able to visit as often as we would like. If we have any problems the management team are always free to deal with any help that we may need. I would certainly recommend the home, thank you to all the staff.
Well-run but needs more training for staff. Concerns are listened to and usually acted on but not always. My aunt us very happy at this home and is usually well cared for. I would recommend it.
The first thing that I would like to say about Richden Park is that the management team was outstanding. When I needed to speak to the manager I was seen straight away and very happy and satisfied that the safeguarding of my mother was top priority as was with all the residents that were in the care home. All the staff were very friendly and supportive and very experienced in their jobs. I would definitely recommend Richden Park care home to everyone I know.
No complaints.
I find that the management and carers could not give anymore. They are very caring, respectful and informative. I am so pleased Mum came to Richden Park and what extra Mum wants is often too much to ask. I feel at ease and at home when I visit and feel like part of the 'family'. Thank you. Outside car park could be improved for walking but for visitors.
Since Mum moved here from a previous, local care home, we have seen a marked improvement to her care for her age-related issues. Mum is so much happier which is such a relief and reassurance to her family. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff. With strong leadership, the home is a welcoming care home. All members of the staff have gone over and beyond to provide the support, affection, respect and attention that my elderly, vulnerable mother needs and deserves.
Richden Park Care Home is excellent for my sister. She loves being there and loves the staff, so is very happy. The staff are also extremely good to me, always letting me know if anything is wrong with my sister. The food is excellent and there is always a very happy atmosphere whenever I go.
The home is very excellent. No complaints whatsoever. The staff and carers are top-rated and the management knows their job inside out.
My mother is looked after, and I am contacted if the home has any concerns about her. My mother is happy, and even when she is grumpy with staff, she is still respected. They just work with her, and she doesn't stay grumpy long. They are very helpful and supportive of us also.
My mother had to move from her existing care home as her dementia worsened and Richden Park appeared to offer what she needed. My sister and I have been extremely impressed by the care she's received at Richden Park and we've seen a significant improvement in her overall demeanour directly as a result. It's a great comfort knowing Mum's being cared for so kindly by people who understand the impact of dementia, and while moving her was a great worry we're now delighted that we went ahead and that she's now receiving the care and attention she needs.
My brother-in-law was originally in another care home after five months in hospital and losing his leg muscles due to hospital staff not bothering to get him out of the bed. However, as soon as he entered Richden Park, this was changed and he was encouraged to get up and walk around the home, also his personal care etc was well taken care of, and him being again encouraged to help himself which in turn also helped his mental health. After a few weeks in the home, he was walking without assistance and even going to the dining room and mixing with other people there. After four weeks after entering the home, he decided he wanted to be back with his dog and decided he felt well enough and able to return home. The staff all seemed very attentive and well-led even though there had obviously been a change in management. Every day the staff checked on him at least once an hour and talked to him about his time as a deep-sea diver.
The most appalling place to put anyone with dementia in. On first meeting the manager she was rude and aggressive, to call it a care home for my sister is a joke, there is little care for her. They have made it more than plain they cannot be bothered and would like her out. I have had to contact Social Servies to try and get them to put in some effort. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
