View Full Details of Carleton Court R H LtdMy dad has a good relationship with the staff and has a laugh with them. I can approach any staff member and talk about my dad and any concerns I have. They keep me updated on doctors' appointments. Dad also says if he fancies something different to eat the cook will sort this out for him. The main thing is my dad says he's happy living at Carleton Court.
Mum has been here for nearly a year now and has settled extremely well. The staff are amazing and mum feels like she is a member of family. Mum has always had a great appetite and loves the food. I've been away recently and I could go knowing mum was in such good care.
A lovely friendly home with a sense of belonging to a family. Lots of activities to be involved in and the carers try their utmost to improve the quality of life for their residents. They make visitors very welcome. Can't recommend them highly enough.
My father was a resident at Carleton Court for over a year until his death. He was treated with great care and dignity and we were always made very welcome when we visited him. We always felt that they had his best interests at heart.
My mum went into Carleton Court R H in December 2022. We, as a family, were very nervous, she always said 'don't put me in a care home'. Straight away we could see how settled she was, the whole family were made to feel welcome. The staff were friendly, caring, kind and considerate. My mum made it her home and called it home which was such a comfort to us. So, in my experience, I would say 'a smashing little care home with a personal touch' Thank you Carleton Court.
My mum-in-law had a stay here when she was discharged from hospital after a fall. She had to isolate due to the Covid restrictions, so could not use facilities etc, but the staff were really excellent, and she felt very well looked after. The manager was incredibly helpful also.
Our Mum lived in Carleton Court Care Home for over three years and we were very happy with the care that Mum received. The staff were very understanding, caring and loving towards her. The Manager always had an open door policy, in that we could ask her anything we needed to know, and was very approachable and welcoming. Both my brother and myself visited weekly on different days with our partners and we were always met with a very warm welcome by all members of the staff. I shall personally miss the staff as Mum died last month (February), I looked on all them all as friends as they were always so supportive, approachable and welcoming, and we all wish them the very best wishes for the future.
Carleton Court is the most welcoming place for your loved ones to be cared for and looked after. All of the staff were so caring and patient with my Father, he was only with them for 2 weeks, before returning home but they really made him feel welcome and valued. I only wish he would have chosen to stay longer. I shall be forever grateful for all the care, support, and love they gave me at a very difficult time in my life. As you can see I cannot praise them all enough. Thank you.
My mum went into Carleton Court in July and settled really well, the staff are extremely friendly and caring, making a difficult transition very easy for Mum. The food is very well cooked and thanks to the varied menu, Mum put on very much needed weight.
My mum was only in Carleton Court for a few months but in that time she was very happy and well cared for. The staff were really friendly to her. Her room was clean and tidy and she was encouraged to bring in a good selection of her personal belongings to make it like home. The food was of a good standard and made on-site, which my mother loved. We were welcome to visit when we liked, which fitted in well with my work. A very homely atmosphere, which suited my mother down to the ground.
I found the staff generally caring and friendly. Most really did their best. I did witness 3 being bad tempered and not very caring to residents but the others were lovely. Very little stimulation was ever present for the residents in activities. The staff were always very busy. The food is all homemade and plenty of it. It is very wholesome and high quality. The home manager always keeps you updated on any progress when a resident is ill. Clothes do get mixed up and go missing in the wash, I think that could be better managed but the staff are too busy. Dad was only short term before moving to a nursing home. There were drug management issues and dad went missing one night and the police had to be called out to find him. I witnessed one lady fall and the staff were there like a shot, they were fantastic that night. Swings and roundabouts.
My father has recently become a resident at Carleton Court and I can honestly say that I am very happy with the care he receives. The staff are helpful and friendly. If they have any concerns they let you know and likewise any questions or concerns I have are always answered honestly. The residents are well looked after and the home is clean and well run. The food is cooked daily and there is a choice. Visiting is open and you are encouraged to treat it as a home. I have been able to make my father's room very much his own, with furniture and pictures.
Both my parents entered Carleton Court in November 2017and since then my father aged 99, endured a period of severe illness and passed away at the end of January. During this time and since, the level and standard of support and care for both my parents and myself could not have been better. An outstanding response to a difficult situation.
We find the majority of care staff are caring and helpful, but sometimes there appears to be a shortage on duty. Sometimes residents having to wait for someone to respond to call buzzer for toileting etc. Also if you phone the home at weekends it often isn't answered. I don't think the staff manage to sit and chat with the residents. My mum is alone most of the time as she refuses to leave her room.
My mother has been at Carleton Court for over a year and her dementia is increasing. She is treated with immense dignity, but also a lot of love. She is not just a nameless resident. The staff always make sure she is dressed beautifully, which would have been very important to her and is very important to me. Mammy loves her food and the food she gets at Carleton Court is always delicious with a menu provided. I am consulted at every stage of her development. When I recently couldn't visit due to an accident, the staff were quick to provide detailed information and reassurance about Mammy. I would recommend Carleton Court to anyone with a relative of need of care.
