View Full Details of Eagle View Care HomeMy father's first experience in a care home and although confused with dementia, he settled in very well. The management team and staff are brilliant and extremely professional, caring, helpful and friendly. I'd been looking after him in his own home for the past two and a half years and it was a great relief to me to feel I could leave him and know how well he was being looked after.
Our mother's 98th birthday celebrations were made really easy for our family and special for us all by the extra special care and consideration given by wonderful staff who once again went above and beyond what we could have asked for. We had only recently learned that relatives are welcome to join their loved ones for a meal and we were delighted that the 6 of us adults would be welcomed for mums birthday dinner. The staff had put up lovely decorations to enhance the event and we sat as a family in the dining room on our own table, with other residents nearby. The meal was excellent and the wonderful chef had gone out of his way not only to provide one vegetarian meal but a fully gluten free sweet for us all which was delicious. We were welcomed to take a special birthday cake for mum and were pleased the other residents could share that with us. The price for the meal was very reasonable, and its presentation and taste excellent. Thank you so very much on behalf of us all.
I have found the whole experience of visiting my father in law at Eagle View very pleasurable. The room he was given was extremely clean and nicely furnished and the staff from the manager, assistant manager and all the other care assistants have been wonderful. The food always looks very appetising and smells lovely. I sincerely hope my father in law is happy here for a long time.
My mother had a fall in her flat and as a consequence, ended up in hospital for a month. My sister and I tried to look after her in her own apartment upon her discharge, but due to the fall, it had accelerated any dementia traits she had and we couldn't cope. With no notice, Eagle View were able to admit her into their care. Every member of staff have been extremely polite, caring and compassionate. Nothing is too much trouble and mum is extremely well cared for. Outstanding on all fronts.
Cannot speak too highly of the management and staff. Nothing was too much trouble for them. I felt my mum was treated very well and was being cared for to the highest level. The room and food prepared was excellent.
My father is a new resident and has received a warm welcome from all the staff. All the staff have a very caring and warm approach to providing reassurance to my father. The home feels like it is well organised and such a friendly environment. There are lots of activities going on and families are welcome to visit at any time. We feel happy and reassured that my father is being well cared for.
My wife has been here for 2 plus years now. I am very pleased with her care and support. The care team and management continue to have a positive supported role in the care and continue positive action aimed at the residents' care and well-being. The complex is always kept clean and tidy despite the occasional mishaps - a credit to the cleaning team. Would like to see more activities available upstairs.
My review of the place is that it is excellent all round.
The best care home we have visited. Excellent staff, led by a young and dynamic management team. Mum is very well looked after by everyone. Her condition seems to be improving and is well loved and respected. The activities are perfect for her. Food is very good and nutritious with a choice of menu to suit all palates and dietary needs. Rooms and communal areas are always very clean. Neat and tidy. We are very pleased with everything and mum is happy and settled. Highly recommended.
Mum is responding well to all the staff. They keep her engaged as much as possible and if possible take her out.
I have been visiting my friend weekly for several years! I have no complaints at all about Eagle View. The staff are excellent and go out of their way to help. Home is always spotlessly clean, and no smells! Hopefully, neither of us will need a care home! However, should that happen there is nowhere better than Eagle View. My friend is always clean, treated with respect, and most importantly with love!
I have worked in care for 30 years and never experienced care like it. Absolutely disgraceful. During the two years my father was a resident there, we identified neglect and abuse. A lot of agency workers did not know the residents and often just stood about. No activities, often music on and TV, which I am sure would be confusing for the residents living with dementia. The food was awful! On visiting one day my father was served very garlicky mashed potato and gravy. Often wearing clothes that weren't his. Thankfully my father has now moved to another home. Would not rate this home at all.
My husband has been living in Eagle View for over a year. I found him going into a home very traumatic, but the staff have been amazing, he settled in very quickly. He feels safe and enjoys chatting with staff he is treated as an individual. The family are involved and made to feel welcome and involved with his care. Now Eagle View has more activities, it's better than ever. Our family are very happy with the care he receives.
1. No hot water, how can the care home or the residents be clean if there is no hot water. 2. The wrong sort of food, some food should've been prepared correctly, was not provided, so this made the resident unable to eat anything. She only had two small yoghurts on Christmas day, because they did not provide a sensible or substantial lunch/dinner 3. Personal items used to go missing 4. Inadequate staff, half of the staff did not have proper qualifications or training required for this job, ignored residents and visitors needs, rude to visitors who are already distressed because of there family members state. 5. Alleged abuse to residents was ignored by care staff, and when the abuse was brought up they suggested the resident had done it to herself.
When visiting your care home, certain staff members make you feel very unwelcome. You are nearly always short of carers. One of your older seniors shouts a lot at your residents, or sits on her mobile and ignores them. Management are never on the residents' floor. Activities are very minimal, especially for bedbound residents. Safety is very suspect. More time than not there is no hot water to wash your hands. How do residents manage?
My mother has only been here a short while, however, I feel she is being well treated. All staff are very courteous and helpful. The food looks very good, in fact I was really tempted by the crumble myself.
I cannot fault the support that has been received from the staff at Eagle View following a tricky situation. The manager has been exceptional and I can honestly say all members of the care team that I have come across have been friendly and courteous. I am more than confident that my family member is being cared for with compassion.
Very impressed with the care home. The home is spotless and has no smell of aged people. My wife was admitted to the upper floor but the staff immediately realised she needed to be moved to the ground floor as her condition was better suited to this area. Staff cannot do enough for the patients and the management appears to be extremely effective. I would recommend this facility to anyone.
My father was a resident there for 3 years and was loved and cared for by a very dedicated team, and for that, I will be forever grateful. I visited Dad regularly and was made to feel very welcome. It is spacious and bright with a very happy family atmosphere and dad thrived! He interacted well and loved meal times! During covid, I was very anxious but I was kept updated throughout. My thanks to everyone involved with Dad's care.
My father-in-law has been a resident since January 2011 and the care he has had has been excellent. When we were advised that he was approaching the end of his life the staff were so compassionate letting me and his grandchildren be with him continually from the Thursday to the Monday when he died peacefully aged 98! I'm sure if he hadn't been at Eagle View we would have lost him years ago. I would also like to express my sincere thanks to the manager who is doing a wonderful job.
