View Full Details of The Chesters Care HomeWe had to find my mum a care home at short notice in May 2023. From the minute we met the manager and the team, the care for my mum was first class, professional in every respect and delivered with warmth and consideration. It's a huge transition moving from independent living to a care home and naturally, my mum had some ups and downs along the way. But the team looked after her and showed great empathy, allowing her to quickly settle into a regular happy routine. She is so much healthier than when she first arrived and that's a huge thanks to the chef and kitchen staff who have fed her well. Yesterday we moved Mum to another care home nearer to her family in another part of the country. Tears were shed by all and it was moving to see how much she was loved at The Chesters. We will always be grateful for the care and support that she was given. Thanks to all at The Chesters.
The Chester’s just gets better and better the staff are wonderful very caring and attentive. There are always plenty of activities going on to stimulate the residents. Christmas has been great everyone got involved to make it a fun time for all. I am truly grateful we found the Chester’s for my mam there’s nowhere better than this we know mam is well looked after by staff who care. Thanks to all at Chester’s.
I really cannot fault The Chesters Care Home. My brother is receiving the best of care.
Very friendly. Showing real care to the residents in the home. Gives visitors coffee and biscuits whilst visiting.
My husband has been in the Chesters for almost two years now and throughout this time, the care has been truly excellent. The wonderful warm friendly atmosphere and the quality of the superb staff team have been marvellous. As a family, we are so grateful that we found the Chesters.
I am extremely happy with the care my father is receiving at The Chesters. The staff are very attentive, caring and patient. The atmosphere is homely and friendly. The activities they provide for their residents keep the residents motivated and engaged.
I am happy with the care my mam is receiving at The Chesters care home. The staff are friendly and helpful in these challenging times.
The Chesters has provided excellent care for my father. However, the imminent changes in management are a huge concern, I feel this will break continuity and lock staff morale, which will seriously affect the harmony within the house.
I have been at Chesters for 15-months, and I am very happy living there. The meals are good and varied. All the staff are very friendly. The carers are very good, and I like to think they are my friends. Whenever I need anything doing, they are close at hand to see my needs, and it's done in a very caring way. They are a credit to their profession.
My mother has received outstanding care and has been kept safe from the horrors of the ongoing pandemic extremely well. The staff and management have tackled the issues with lockdown and resident safety with great professionalism, dedication and above all else, have kept everyone’s spirits going in an unprecedented situation. My mother is very happy and settled in her fifth year at The Chesters, and her needs, both health-wise and welfare wise are most certainly met at this wonderful and friendly home.
Currently, my aunt is a resident at The Chesters, and her decision to move to The Chesters is based on the care and attention which my mother received in the previous two years. Throughout the pandemic, the staff have been ahead of the game with regards to PPE and visits, and I cannot speak too highly of the care which my mother and my aunt have received. The staff are always cheerful and helpful, which is of great benefit to the residents.
This care home is of a very high standard, staff are very caring, and nothing is too much bother. Residents are treated with the utmost dignity; would recommend it to anyone. Beautiful secluded gardens and outdoor space.
I cannot speak too highly of the way in which The Chesters has coped with the events of the past 12-months whilst continuing to provide exceptional care and support to its residents, in particular my mother. Visiting has been permitted wherever possible in accordance with the guidelines in place at the time. Managers were very quick to address the issue of PPE as soon as the pandemic began. In late 2020 a pod was installed outside the home to allow visitors to see and speak to their relatives. Ongoing care such as safety, food and health continues to be of the highest standard.
Wonderful care for my mam by lovely staff who always look after her needs and well being. We are kept informed of any issues immediately. You are always made welcome and I would highly recommend this care home.
Cannot fault the care and respect my grandma has been given by all of the staff. Everyone is lovely and the home itself is a very nice place for the residents and visitors alike.
I normally don't do reviews but feel in this case I should. The care shown by all staff at The Chesters is excellent. You are always made welcome when visiting and always offered refreshments during your time visiting. I can't thank all the staff enough for the care given to my Mum and also the friendship received to myself, family and friends while visiting.
My mother-in-law has been in The Chesters for over 2 years now and having visited other relatives in nursing homes I can't tell you how happy I am that she is cared for in The Chesters. The staff are top class carers, always seem happy to be at work and are wonderful at conversing with the residents. There is always a lovely, warm atmosphere at the home and staff always have time to answer questions about family members.
Today we visited the lovely staff at the Chesters home who looked after our mam so well. I don't think people know just how hard these ladies work and the effort they put in for their residents but they're heroes to us. So pleased to donate our £300 to there Christmas party fund - if you see them at Christmas make sure to buy them a well-deserved drink
When my mam suffering from Alzheimer’s could no longer live at home she took residence in Chester’s care home from Jan 2016 until she died in August 2018. Throughout this time every visit I made I found Chester’s care home staff to be professional, friendly and welcoming but equally attentive to my mams individual needs on a daily basis. It’s not easy to describe the humbling appreciation I feel for the wonderful work all the care staff do without a grumble or a groan. They treat all residents with dignity and honour. No matter what challenges the care staff faced they treated my mam, and all the other residents, like family. Every single aspect of my mams care was always attended to professionally and with a smile. Senior staff were welcoming and openly answered any questions I had in detail and with confidence. I have no hesitation in recommending this excellent care home.
The home is very well kept, with lovely caring staff. They have an excellent management team. They treat their residents with respect and always welcome their families.
