View Full Details of Hawksbury HouseMy wife has been a service user in the care of Hawksbury House for 2 and a half years, suffering from Alzheimer's disease. The illness has now progressed to the point where she can only lie on a recliner and she only recognises our youngest son and I. Despite that the carers at Hawksbury House have shown her the same care and support they did at the beginning. They see to all her medical, bodily and phycological needs with patience and compassion. My wife enjoys the food. The home is kept clean and tidy. The laundry service is good. They now have two staff members who provide activities for the interested and able-bodied. The small garden needs attention. The lead night staff and lead day carers have all been there since my wife moved in. This is a homely place to be.
Hawksbury House is very welcoming. All the staff are friendly, helpful and go above and beyond in caring for residents. I have peace of mind that my mam is being cared for in a dignified manner. Rooms are adequate some with lovely views over the garden. The staff are always willing to answer any questions and if they are not sure they will find out from another member of staff. Overall I would have no hesitation in recommending Hawksbury House to anyone.
My father has been a residence for nearly 4 years. Over all We are very happy with his care. He is well settled and generally very content. Staff are always helpful. And keep us well informed of his well being.
Very happy with care and support given. Well Looked after. Always kept informed about any health issues. Home needs updating but it’s clean and tidy. Staff are good at keeping us informed. And look after their charges. Thanks
On our first visit to Hawksbury House, our first reaction was a feeling of warmth and that of a home. Over the 3 years or so that immediate impression and feeling has grown. Not only warmth but also professionalism, and care shown by the staff and management. I visit my wife every day and I see all of the incumbents of the home alongside seeing my darling wife. The food is good, often there is entertainment, and there are exercises for all and individual exercises according to member's needs. My family and I are delighted that my wife is so happy living in the home, when I take her to our home of 40 years she cannot wait to get back to Hawksbury. All the staff are kind and welcoming to me every time I visit and so helpful when we wish to spend time in the garden on a warm day. So we are so glad that my wife is part of the community at Hawksbury which, she loves.
The staff are all fantastic. They take great care of our mam. We could definitely recommend Hawksbury House. Our mam is treated respectfully and with dignity and has made some friends with others residents and has a great rapport with the staff.
I can’t express my heartfelt gratitude for the exceptional care and support my Mam received during her time at Hawksbury House. The dedication, compassion, and unwavering commitment made a significant difference in her life, and the family are truly thankful for all that the team did for her, especially her carers in her final days. The kindness and professionalism brought comfort to both Mam and our family and we’ll be forever grateful for creating a warm and nurturing environment that allowed her to feel safe and cared for.
My Mother in law was wonderfully looked after for 2 years at the care home and died peacefully at the care home. The end of life care was lovely and we really appreciate the care given. I am a care worker myself, so I know what good service should be provided in a care home. The staff and care are just what you would want for your elderly relative. I would recommend Hawksbury, it may not be chandeliers and plasma TV's but the care is outstanding and that's what counts. Many thanks.
