View Full Details of Sovereign LodgeIt has been good, the food is good and the activities are good. The staff are very helpful.
My wife has been in Sovereign Lodge for more than a year. The care she has been given has been exceptional. The staff are always there for her and treat her with care and compassion and are always cheerful. Nothing is a problem.
My mam moved into Sovereign Lodge towards the end of the month. All the staff have been so welcoming. Nothing has been a problem. All staff came in and introduced themselves to us all and keep checking with Mam that she is settling etc. Her room is lovely.
After a meeting with management and seniors agreement was made that medication was made and administered and watched by seniors to ensure it had been taken also more communication between staff and me (or sibling). If anything to report e.g. falls, appts etc. This happened for a short while but reverted back. Ongoing rash was not treated until I pointed it out (can't understand as it was clear to see if Mam was having regular baths). Also found medication in the draw not taken. Communication after the complaints above has resumed when it works it works but would like it to work more regularly on the plus side friendly, safe and good meals. (Mam is happy most of the time).
Sovereign Lodge always appears to be well-run and in good order. It has a pleasant appearance with decoration which encourages conversation. The staff are also pleasant and know and use the Christian names of the residents. Similarly, the grounds are well-kept. All in all, these facets point to a well-run and resident-focused environment.
I visited Sovereign Lodge with my two young daughters to visit Grandma. It was a Friday afternoon and they were due to play Bingo. We were allowed to join in and the girls had a great time. It was lovely to see the residents all having fun and the activities co-ordinator was great, the kids thought she was so funny. Everyone had a great time and were given tea and cakes too. Great job Sovereign Lodge - I am so glad my granny is so well looked after. My oldest daughter has been brought up visiting the home often.
Mam has now stayed at Sovereign Lodge for 6 years. She continues to be happy and well-looked after. She has now lost her mobility. I have great respect for the staff who always tear her with courtesy and respect as well as kindness and affection recently a change in lifestyle support has had an amazing staff effect on her mental health and wellbeing.
I went to visit my mam, and she was with other residents and staff in the dining room. They were having a craft session and colouring in, with the staff assisting those who needed help. Everyone was nice and relaxed and enjoying themselves. It was lovely to see the rapport the staff had with everyone, especially my mam as she was laughing and enjoying herself. It was so lovely to see the fantastic interaction.
From day one, very friendly and welcoming staff. Sovereign Lodge is light and airy and kept clean and tidy. Staff are very helpful and approachable, nothing is a problem, and have the knowledge and experience to deal with residents' needs. My mother is encouraged to join in many activities by the staff, who really put themselves out on a daily basis; it's like an extended family. Our family has stuck gold getting a place here for Mam.
Sovereign Lodge is a lovely, happy care home. Staff are always pleasant, helpful, and so friendly - they're like family. There is always a happy atmosphere. Never see any of them not enjoying their work on a day-to-day basis.
I have now settled in and feel cared for. The staff are always pleasant and will do anything they can to help me. Any equipment I need has been ordered for me.
Parents happy and settled. Staff keep us all updated on their welfare. Well cared for! Trust staff and management to look after them. When asked to do something for parents, it is never a problem.
Fantastic care staff. Amazing. Could not do enough for everyone in their care.
Since coming to Sovereign Lodge, my mam has been so happy. We are confident she is cared for to a very high standard - the staff are great!
My mam has been a resident at Sovereign Lodge for nearly four years. She is so well looked after, and the manager and team of carers do a fantastic job. I have peace of mind as I know she is in a lovely place.
Since my dad moved in in January. I have found all the staff extremely friendly and welcoming. My dad is well looked after, and the staff show plenty of patience. They encourage him to come out of his room, but he is stubborn and is happy in his own company. The staff do go in and chat and have a laugh with him. So thank you to them!
As a new service user of only a few months, She has settled really well. Staff are always cheery and chatty. She has started to eat better now and experiencing new foods. We were kept up to date at all times when she was not well. Her first Christmas at Sovereign Lodge was a good experience and interacted well. Overall, in her first few months, she has settled well.
My dad was admitted last December, just before Christmas, on a temporary basis, but as it turned out, he couldn't return home and was made permanent in July. He found it hard to adjust at first, being very independent but slowly, because of the devotion of the wonderful staff, he soon began to adjust. He has had wonderful care, and I can't speak too highly of the wonderful staff, who have also made me feel very welcome when I visit.
Our mam has settled into Sovereign Lodge (Care Home) since early summer; it took her a few months to get used to not being able to lock her door, but I have to say, it is such a huge relief to witness, her total attitude and demeanour change with her being so very content and extremely happy with how well cared for she is by all the staff at Sovereign Lodge! She tells us that the staff cannot do enough for her and are very kind, and they even appear with a nice cup of tea when she hasn't asked for one and are always checking in to see how she is! Easy access to the communal areas has meant that Mam has made some friends with other residents and staff and looks forward to socialising with them in the restaurant and lounge areas. Mam was 93 in October and was surprised by staff followed by some fellow residents singing her Happy Birthday while carrying a cake to her, just fab (my sister left the cake for them to give her). She enjoys a bath a few times/week, as well as frequent showers. All is just perfect.
Very friendly staff. Not much information about care or any treatment given.
