View Full Details of Whorlton GrangeFrom outside the home is very well-presented, clean and the small garden is well-kept. Inside, the home is spotlessly clean, the staff are very pleasant at all times even though they can be harassed. The residents are well looked after and all their needs are catered for, the home has a full activities programme, with children from the local schools visiting, also entertainment and bus outings, mainly in the summer months. I am more than pleased with the care my wife receives and I will fully recommend this home.
Mother-in-law has been in Whorlton Grange for two weeks. Totally settled, home professionally run and the staff fabulous. All her needs have been met to our satisfaction.
My Father moved from a care home in Ireland to Whorlton Grange in October 2023. After having a terrible experience in his last care home in Ireland, he arrived at Whorlton Grange quite vulnerable. The day we arrived, he was greeted with a huge hug from the deputy manager which immediately reassured him. I can honestly say that the care he has received from day one until now has been outstanding. Everyone (too many to name) has been truly fantastic with him. My brother and I are reassured that he is in the best place, is safe, and is getting the care that he needs and in fact, beyond that - the Care staff are all wonderful. This place deserves an outstanding rating! Thank you to you all from the bottom of my heart, we really can't thank you enough.
The staff are lovely. They book taxis for me to keep in touch with my friends
My mum lived at Whorlton Grange for nearly six years. Their care for her and me was exceptional. Since her death, I have had more time to reflect upon this. Nothing was ever too much trouble. They were her family and gave her unconditional love and support throughout her time at the home. We always knew she was safe, treated as an individual and offered all sorts of activities to enhance her life. My gratitude has no limit. Choosing Whorlton Grange was the best decision ever made.
My husband had one week's respite which he enjoyed and looked fit and well when I collected him. I am hoping to repeat this respite on a regular basis if a bed is available.
Mam came to live at Whorton Grange five years ago and she settled in from day one. As her dementia has progressed she is now unaware of her surroundings but is still very settled. As a family, we are more than happy with the fantastic care she receives. The staff need a massive pat on the back. Thank you everyone at Whorton Grange.
Mam has been in Whorlton Grange for 5 years. Always excellent care from all staff.
Excellent - only been here for four days.
The staff at Whorlton Grange are excellent. It's not just what they do but how they do it. Professional and polite with the human caring touch that really makes it. They really care about their residents and their families. Passing on the baton of care for your family is not an easy thing to do but I can't think of anyone better to pass it to. They are taking care of Mum with what she needs and also giving me my dad back too.
My mum has been in the home since August 2022. She is 93 years old next month and she is absolutely flourishing in the home. She is cared for so well that it is like she is living in her own private hotel. Her room is lovely and peaceful and very pleasant. When we visit her she enjoys the food and the company of the other residents. She particularly enjoys chatting with the staff as they all take the time to talk to her every day. As a family, we could not be happier with her care. She is happy, safe and loved.
After a difficult six months or so, my mother moved in at Whorlton Grange. She has been helped and supported extremely well by the management and carers. They also supported me at this difficult time. She has settled in really well, and it is a great comfort to know she is safe and well cared for. She has gained a little independence back, and it is lovely being able to spend quality time with her instead of trying to organise outside agencies.
Amazing residential home, I wish you did nursing. Lovely staff always made Dad comfortable and me welcome. Lovely building and always clean, never smells which is a good sign. I only wish he was well enough to join in the activities because they looked so good. Thank you to everyone.
The staff who care for my mum are absolutely incredible. They always go above and beyond to care for her. They are very caring, friendly, patient, dedicated, thoughtful and professional. I couldn't ask for anything more with regard to her care. My mum feels safe and secure, and most of all, happy with Whorlton Grange.
Excellent care and good screening for Covid-19.
My husband went into the home on a temporary basis for 6 weeks. He says the carers are all very nice.
Visited my mam on 16th June (outside). In all the times I have visited her I can honestly say I have never seen the staff being anything other than kind and caring towards her, and to me as a visitor.
Firstly it's about the staff always going above and beyond. Stimulating residents with entertainment and activities. Maintaining a happy safe and friendly environment for the residents which is appreciated by relative. Everyone is so caring, thoughtful and approachable. The home wonderfully maintained comfortable and homely and gardens are beautiful.
Our mother is on her final pathway. I can't thank the care staff enough as they genuinely care about mam. They have all been very supportive during this difficult time to all the family.
My mam is on the final pathway, and I cannot thank the carers enough for all they are doing for my mam. This home has careers that care! Everyone has been very supportive of our family.
