View Full Details of Paddock Stile Manor Dementia Care HomeMy sister has been a resident for approximately 3 years and is very happy here. I have found the staff to be caring and respectful and they always act promptly if I have any health worries about my sister. They are always friendly and helpful and I am kept informed of any concerns they have. My sister loves participating in all of the activities and particularly likes having her nails done and listening to the performers who come regularly. I would say that I have found all of the staff to be excellent. They really care about the residents and it shows.
Mam has been a resident since early July 2024 having moved from assisted living home. The move was necessary due to her Alzheimer's deteriorating. She settled well after a couple of days. We follow the home on social media and love the interaction between staff and residents. The staff are very caring and couldn't fault them in any way. We are so pleased she is here as she now has a smile on her face in most of the pictures we see, which we haven't seen in 4 years. She regularly gets involved in the in-house activities which unfortunately the previous home did not have. So pleased we found this place.
My grandmother is currently a resident in Paddock Stile Manor receiving care and support. I want to give a massive shout-out to one member of staff there in particular. This staff member goes above and beyond for the service users and is always singing and dancing to cheer up the service users and make them laugh. I know myself as a senior carer that this is important in promoting service users' well-being, I have also noticed that she keeps the service users active participating in their care offering choice and informing service users of what was for lunch on that day that I was visiting. Keep up the good work.
Mam was in Paddock Stile Manor for 2 weeks for respite care. We found the staff and the care she was given to be excellent. She really thrived on the care, activities and fantastic food. The staff really go above and beyond in the way they care for the residents.
My husband first went into the care home in March at quite short notice and prior to this I did do some investigating to determine what I thought would be best for my husband, it was a very stressful time for all concerned. It did take a while for him to settle in but that was due to the Dementia and not the home. The staff were brilliant in trying to settle him in and it has taken a while, but he is settled now and seems happier than I have seen him for quite some time. The home provides all the care and security that my husband needs. All of the staff from the manager downwards do a fabulous job and are all very caring and patient with all of the residents. Facilities are clean and cheerful, residents' dietary needs are well catered for. I view all of the staff as friends and I can talk to them when necessary. Score out of 100 is 100
Fantastic staff. Cared for and loved my Grandad, looked after him as he would have been cared for and loved at home.
Absolutely fantastic home. My Dad was very happy there, he loved all the staff, it was a home-from-home for him. When he died on 24/03/2024 the care before and after was 100% only wish we had put him in there first. Credit to all the staff and a big thank you to everyone.
My mother has been in the care home for 2 and a half years and is always treated well, with respect and kindness. She can be very difficult at times and gets angry and frustrated, but the staff manage her really well and work around her needs.
Staff very, very helpful. Brother is happy, always smiling, which speaks volumes.
My mum was a resident here for a number of years, and she was always cared for with the best care and attention at all times. During the last few weeks of her life, the staff and management went above and beyond for our mum and for all our family. The care and attention were beyond excellent. During her stay here, there were always various activities happening, which Mum enjoyed engaging with, which made us as a family happy knowing Mum was cared for when we were not there. The staff and management became Mum's extended family and were loved by her and us all.
Always find the staff friendly whenever we visit. All rooms are clean and tidy. My sister appears well looked after.
I'm genuinely pleased with the care given and my friend in care has thrived since being admitted. Her hair is thicker and she has gained weight (which was imperative to her health). All staff are marvellous, the only thing I would like to see occasionally is 50s/60s music played in the background instead of a television blasting (residents are oblivious to it) music of a residents era can be stimulating and pleasant.
Can't fault the care that Mam has been given since going to the home. From keeping me informed about how Mam settled to ringing if they have any concerns, they have been excellent. Having Mam say 'I feel safe here' means everything to me. The staff are really friendly and approachable when we visit. A fantastic place, can't recommend them enough.
Very friendly, but professional staff. Activities are organised for residents and visits from local artists for "sing alongs" etc.
I am very happy with the support and care that is given to my mam. The staff are always very polite and very helpful. The home is kept clean. Always welcomed in the home with very good security. Overall, I would really recommend this home to look into for their family. Very happy with my mam's progress and hygiene while being in the home.
My mam's been in since January 2023, and the improvement of my mam is brilliant. She was not responding to life, but now she is up and in a chair, eats brilliantly, and she is awake a lot for conversations. Paddock Stile Manor is the best place for my mam - she is so happy.
As I work full time, I visit mainly once per week, on occasion twice. I feel safe in the knowledge that my mother is being looked after and is safe. I have issues getting my mother to sit in her room when visiting. I am always welcome to get a chair and sit with her wherever she feels comfortable. The staff are friendly and attentive.
Having been researching care home that would be able to accommodate a short period of respite care for my brother-in-law who has advanced stage dementia, Paddock Stile Manor were able to assist. We were very reluctant due to him not being away from his family, only trusting those he knew, but the care and support they gave him were second to none. With constant reassurance that he was safe with them. I spoke to them daily over the phone and kept me updated on his well-being. The manager and her team are passionate about their roles. Brilliant!
My mam was only in Paddock Stile Manor for two weeks. I can say the care and attention she was given were excellent. Nothing was a problem to anyone. The staff were also great to visitors, again nothing a problem.
My husband stayed at Paddock Stile for a week as I needed respite care. The staff were kind and helpful. He was happy there so we were pleased he settled so well.
