View Full Details of Bryony Park Nursing HomeMy mother has been in Bryony Park for 2 years. She is 96 and has significant dementia. Her care in Bryony Park has been exemplary. The staff and management are experienced and put the residents at heart always. Bryony Park has outstanding operational practices. Safety, security and individual needs are central. Communication is excellent. We are lucky that my mother is in this care home.
Mum is part of the Bryony Family. She is always respected and her wishes are taken into account. The staff are amazing and listen to her needs and adapt to those accordingly. The team are and always will be a much needed part of our family. They make Mum's life so much easier in her transition into care and she would never had settled into her new environment if it wasn't for their continued support and guidance to her and our family. She feels such a valued and welcomed part of the Bryony Family, as well as we do.
My wife has been a resident from 28th October 2024 following a most difficult 12 months in two hospitals. She settled almost immediately and her presentation was dramatically improved within days. She remains in good spirits and she had been treated with great affection by all staff. My son and I viewed many care facilities in South Tyneside and Sunderland over several weeks and on multiple occasions. Bryony Park was overwhelmingly chosen after just two visits. The staff are friendly, affectionate and above all, focused on providing care in a pleasant and friendly but safe environment.
Since my mum moved into Bryony Park we have been delighted with the care received. All staff are extremely friendly and treat residents with respect and dignity. There are activities organised every week for residents, and I look forward to the summer months when I will be able to take my mum out for the day.
My mother's stay at Bryony Park Nursing Home was very short but in the time that she was there, she was treated with genuine care and warmth, respect and dignity. As a result, her last days were peaceful and happy. The staff went out of their way to ensure that she had all that she needed - nothing was too much, no matter what was asked of them. I am so grateful that my mom was able to have this time of peace, quiet and dignity and the words 'thank you' do not encompass all that I would like to say to the staff who have a hard job which they do with so much compassion and care. Thank you.
Bryony Park Nursing Home provides excellent care and attention to detail. All the staff are compassionate and dedicated. The facilities are clean, well-maintained and provide a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The activities are well-planned and provide the opportunity for residents to engage both mentally and physically. Activities range from arts and crafts, music and group exercises, helping the residents to be connected and fulfilled. Highly recommend Bryony Park for families seeking reliable care for their loved ones.
The home offers great service with warm, attentive staff who care about the residents' well-being. The environment is clean and welcoming, providing a safe space. The thoughtful activities and personalised care make it an excellent choice for family members.
My mother has been a resident of Bryony Park Nursing Home for twenty months. Over her time at Bryony Park, the care has been consistently excellent. The staff are caring and always keep me informed of any issues. The management is clearly motivated to maintain high-quality care and communication is excellent. I would recommend Bryony Park to any potential service user or relative.
I couldn't wish for a better place for my mother to be in. Extremely happy with all of her care, the facilities and the activities that are ongoing every day to keep her occupied. The staff are great, from the nursing staff that look after her to the kitchen staff that keep her going.
My mam has been a resident for four years at Bryony Park Nursing Home. Throughout this time, she has received first-class care from staff. Everyone goes the extra mile to form a family atmosphere and develop close bonds. The fact that everyone care is obvious to anyone who visits.
My husband has been in your care home for eighteen months now. The care and attention he receives is above and beyond. The staff and management are one big family. Thank you for everything you do each and every day.
I go to Bryony Park Nursing Home twice a week to see my friend's husband and I find it to be clean. The manager is very good and her staff are excellent at their jobs.
The service and level of care in this home is exceptional. The staff are like one huge family, caring for their patients and each other! I never have to worry about my father's care and I appreciate everything you do each and every day for him. Thank you.
My dad was previously in another care home. When he moved into Bryony Park Nursing Home, the staff quickly got to know him and finally, his needs were met. This is all down to the staff who all went above and beyond to look after him. I cannot thank them enough for all they did for him and the family. My dad has very recently died, my only regret is my dad didn't come to live in this home sooner.
My father's experience in the Bryony Park Nursing Home was incredibly positive. The incredible, loving staff were genuinely caring and attentive, always going the extra mile to ensure his comfort and well-being. They understood the challenges of Alzheimer's and approached him with patience and respect. The home itself was warm and inviting, with a variety of activities and social programs. My father particularly enjoyed the music singing sessions, which seemed to bring him great joy and comfort. He also loved spending time in the garden, with family, friends and social events enjoying music and the happy environment. I was always impressed by the level of communication from the staff. They kept me updated on my father's progress, shared any concerns, and were always available to answer my questions. It was reassuring to know that he was in such good hands with unwavering dedication and emotional support and selfless acts of kindness and love.
After a serious stroke and 5 months in a hospital, dad needed to go into nursing care. We chose Bryony Park Nursing Home. We visited and had a good feeling. The manager answered all questions. Dad's care was spot on! The staff made dad's time there as comfortable as possible, all staff were attentive and took care of his every need without being able to communicate they seemed to just know. When dad passed away, we all felt the emotion from the staff and kept his dignity throughout his time there and at the end.
Always pleasant and welcoming.
Overall very good. Staff very nice. Management excellent. The home is looking a bit tired. Mam is enjoying her stay. As long as my mam is happy, that makes me happy. Thank you.
A fantastically managed and inclusive care home. All staff are highly trained and have the highest levels of empathy towards all residents. The home is clean and modern. There are always activities and entertainment for the residents which is communicated by an events board. There are regular trips out where everyone is included. There is a very clear communication policy which includes using an app and emails when necessary. Huge thanks to everyone involved.
My mum moved into Bryony Park in February. It was something, as a family, we never thought would happen but due to her increasing needs and vulnerability, the decision was made. It has been an extremely emotional period for both my mum and me but I’ve found the care and support my mum has received is second to none. Every member of staff, whatever their role, has treated her (and me) with care, respect, compassion and understanding of the magnitude we’ve experienced with the transition from home to full-time care. I feel the staff have quickly understood my mum, the things that make her anxious and upset as well as what makes her happy and more settled and as such, the manager and the care team have been very responsive e.g. suggesting Mum even moves to a room less noisy which has helped with the move. Nothing has been too much, from making her room homely with pictures being put up to providing delicious food. Whilst this was a difficult decision, Bryony has made it as good as it possibly could be.
