View Full Details of Highcliffe Care Home - Avery HealthcareWhat can I say about the staff at Highcliffe Care Home. We were saddened to have to move Dad into care after a fall in 2023, and it was a tough decision we had to make as a family. How do we choose? He had been self-dependent until the age of 93. When we visited the home for the first time, it had a warm and homely feel, which was confirmed once we moved Dad in. I recommend Highcliffe to anyone thinking about doing the same. Why? The staff are always lovely. They made Dad feel really special. The activities are great for those who want to participate, and they include many external trips. It is always immaculate in all areas. Like all things in life, we had a few teething problems initially, but once they understood Dad and he was settled, as a family, we could all sleep peacefully in our beds, knowing he was safe. Dad passed in January, and all I can say is thank you to everyone for making Dad's last few years as comfortable and safe as they could be.
My dad stayed at Highcliffe for two weeks respite. We were very impressed with the first visit my wife and I made (following a recommendation) with the compassion and care shown, referring to a possible stay. We went back the next day with Dad and soon made the decision that Highcliffe would be ideal for his respite. He was very satisfied with the stay and the care and attention given to him by all staff he came in contact with. We would have no hesitation in recommending Highcliffe Care Home!
Highcliffe Care Home is a hugely supportive, caring and kind place to be. The staff are welcoming, provide updates as and when and clearly show a genuine interest in and caring for all residents. It's reassuring for me and my family to know that our mother and grandmother is cared for in such a positive and caring way. So very grateful for all that takes place at Highcliffe, cleaners, carers, managers, activities and catering etc. Thank you.
This place is always very nice and clean when I visit my family member and the staff here are excellent, very friendly and very helpful I would highly recommend this care home to anyone. Thanks again.
This is a lovely, warm, caring place. Always there to help at any time. My husband has settled very well thanks to the care and lovely support of all members of staff. This gives me so much comfort and peace of mind and everyone is treated with utmost respect. Thank you all so much.
Our dad has only been in Highcliffe for six days but our experience of the care provided is absolutely amazing. The staff are great, very caring, Nothing is a problem for them. Dad thinks he is in a hotel. The care has been second to none, We are extremely happy with his care as a family.
Father was admitted 27/2 for a 17 day stay. Showered once. Clothes not changed daily, looked dirty each visit. "Fell from bed," not notified - spoke to deputy twice giving concerns - asked for Father to be showered day of leave - ignored - pad still in situ from night before - as per same clothes. Raised with carer who "leant against the bedroom wall whilst chewing gum" as I asked why? Never saw the manager during my visits - shocking.
Not happy with the previous care home my mam was in, we got her a place at Highcliffe, I can honestly say what a massive difference, it's lovely and clean, the rooms are lovely, soon as you walk in its got a lovely homely feel, all the staff are very nice, doesn't matter what time of day or night you go, the staff are always interacting with the residents. If ever I've had concerns the care staff are quick to respond back, they listen to your concerns, nothing is too much trouble for them, the cleanliness is spot on, I've got no worries or concerns with my mam being in Highcliffe, would highly recommend, everything about Highcliffe is spot on, the carers do a brilliant job.
Mam came to Highcliffe in December after being in hospital having had several falls at home. It was a very difficult time for us all but the staff reassured us that it was the right decision and now we are so happy we chose Highcliffe. The staff are amazing. They are very caring and respectful to Mam and all of our family. Thank you for caring so much about Mam.
When my mother needed care, Highcliffe Care Home was recommended to me by a friend whose relation was a resident. The staff were very welcoming and supportive at a difficult time adapting to the situation. We were offered the option of several different rooms, all of which were sizable and pleasant. The times my mother needed assurance in her new surroundings and the different medical needs were handled with kindness and support by all the staff and any medical issues attended to promptly, interacting with the necessary medics. Activities and a resident hairdresser are provided for those wishing to participate. Overall, at the present time, I would not hesitate to recommend Highcliffe to someone who needed care and support.
Mam had to go into a care home following her discharge from hospital. I looked at a few places and there and chose Highcliffe for various reasons. The staff are fantastic, the activities are amazing and the building is very comfortable. As a family we have been made very welcome, it was a great decision.
I always feel welcome and the professionalism of every member of staff is to be commended. Staff are always on hand to chat with to and are more than helpful and friendly. The catering staff go above and beyond. The activities team are so on the job, there is never a dull moment, they eat fill everyone day. I can't praise everyone enough. Just fabulous.
Staff have been extremely helpful and caring towards my relation these last few months. As she has been in and out of hospital, they have always welcomed her back with open arms. l and my family appreciate everything that they do.
Due to unexpected circumstances, we needed to place my aunt into a care home immediately. Of three possible placements only Highcliffe was prepared to go the extra mile in assessing and completing paperwork to allow my aunt a safe place to stay that same day. (They did paperwork in one afternoon.) The staff are very professional, caring and made a real effort to make my aunt welcome. The building is clean and tidy, the food is good and the general atmosphere is pleasant.
My friend and I have been visiting a friend in Highcliffe Care Home for the past 10 months and have been very impressed with the care and friendliness shown to both visitors and the residents. There are always lots of activities both indoors and outdoors for the residents who are encouraged in a very caring way to take part. The resident's wishes are also well respected. This week because of Halloween the building has been beautifully decorated and there is going to be a Halloween party for the residents. I would have no hesitation in recommending Highcliffe Care Home.
We are so impressed with Highcliffe Care Home and delighted to see how happy our dear friend and ex-yoga teacher has settled in and enjoys living there. From our very first visit, we were made to feel so welcome and this has continued on every visit, starting with the lovely smile from the receptionist. The staff are second to none, all of the staff from the domestics to management are so helpful, friendly and caring. They cannot do enough for the residents. There is always something going on and they are always organising lots of activities for the residents. The food looks really nice and our friend enjoys it very much. The place is spotlessly clean, the staff are working hard all day to keep it nice and it certainly shows. We are so happy that our friend is being so well looked after in this happy and safe environment.
The staff here went above and beyond for my auntie, showing care and compassion. The home is clean and modern and the food was outstanding. My auntie saw this as her home and we always felt at ease, even when she was in the hospital the staff took the time to call and check on her. I would not hesitate to recommend Highcliffe, a huge thank you for all they have done for my auntie.
Clean, tidy, good staff always willing to listen and help. Plenty of organised activities. My mother always comments on how nice the food is. Rooms are always tidy. The ability to visit when I want and if anything happens I am always contacted.
My experience at Highcliffe has been first class, the staff are very helpful, and execute their caring in a professional manner. Management are communicating much more than previously, this is very important as good communication is the umbilical cord of a successful organisation. I have not rated any of the questions five stars, as I consider this to be perfection, which is a journey and not a destination. From my perspective, the journey is on the right course.
So far I am very happy, the home does a lot of activity which is amazing. My mam can be very challenging with her outbursts but the caregivers are brilliant. The staff are very patient and passionate and I love the social media page.
