View Full Details of Charlotte Grange Residential Care HomeThe overall care, support and attention to needs of our mother have been good. As with all new environments it takes time to evaluate all of the likely situations likely to be met during our mothers stay. The only concern is the room, there is considerable wear and tear and the failed window unit makes it difficult to see the outside world. The family will re-decorate the room to improve our mothers and any visitors time while here. Overall above satisfied. Also we have noticed mother is left alone with a drink that she spills and causes distressed, discomfort and embarrassment. We have raised this but it is ongoing.
All staff are all caring and friendly.
My granmar always has activities to do, she never used to like participating in activities but now she really enjoys it. She has made many new friends along the way and as a family we know she is safe at Charlotte Grange.
Excellent care home, cant do anything more that what they do. Very pleasant and nice carers.
Overall it's a lovely place, very friendly staff but needs a lot of modernisation and work as it is all well overdue. Should be more variety of choice with meals, especially with the price hike.
Give my mother excellent care and support. We know she is well looked after. Staff are lovely, they also support family as well.
Lovely warm welcome from staff from entering the home to leaving, all staff are polite and care for the residents. Have mentioned to staff previously the menu doesn't match what is served and on a few occasions the meals have been poor.
Friendly atmosphere, with staff and food excellent. Building and rooms are a bit tired and could do with an update.
Please dont judge this care home by its tired exterior as the care and kindness given by the staff is second to none. My dad resided there for a couple of months prior to his passing - The staff went that extra mile not only with him but also with his visiting family - they were friendly, kind and nothing was a bother. He was comfortable and whilst didn't wish to go into residential care enjoyed the chat and friendly banter the care staff engaged with him - his buzzer was answered in minimum time and extra refreshments, homemade treats and his favourite ice cream were offered mid-meals. He had previously been in 2 different care homes for respite and did not have a pleasant experience in either - I'm so glad his last couple of months were here as the staff genuinely showed an interest in him, his family and more so his wellbeing. Keep up the good work, eternally grateful.
Poor communication between management and relatives. High staff turnover. There appears to be a real lack of training and therefore a real lack of understanding of dementia and how to approach people living with dementia/behaviours that challenge. Lack of attention to detail (broken bath hoists not identified on any quality assurance audits or fixed for months).
Charlotte Grange has cared for my mum for over five years. They have always been attentive to her needs and maintained a pleasant disposition. I have always been greeted with friendliness even though I visit at irregular times. My mum does not want to be in care, but it is apparent that she is well treated there. The family are very pleased with the care and attention.
Take care of relatives. Very caring and patient.
Charlotte Grange is a welcoming environment where residents, family and visitors are encouraged to be part of the establishment.
My Mother has been in this care home for 1 year and 4 months. I think she has been the happiest she has ever been. My sister and I are really pleased with the care and support my mam gets in here and we can go home and not worry about her. If there is anything wrong with my mam the staff are straight on the phone to let us know.
I like the lasses because they are very caring. The home is clean and comfortable and there are things to keep the residents interested, i.e. music, television, bingo and crafts.
I am extremely happy with the care my gran has received whilst in the care home, she seems really happy and content and well cared for, which is all you can ask for really. When I have spoken to members of staff they have all been very polite and friendly they all seem very nice and helpful.
The home has a friendly atmosphere, visitors are made very welcome. The residents are treated with kindness, respect and great care. Activities are varied and suitable enough to stimulate peoples minds.
My mother has been a resident in Charlotte Grange for around five years, during which time she has been happy and contented. She is now end of life and will be 99 years old on her next birthday. The staff have been so kind at this sad time and have gone above and beyond to make her feel loved and cared for. I can't praise them enough and recommend the home totally.
The staff are always helpful and full of compassion towards residents and family. What I like about the home that it is just that a home. My mum is always well dressed as if she had done it herself. She is happy and content in her own bubble. The staff are always looking out for mums needs.
The home is bright, airy and clean. The care provided is excellent. Everyone is treated with respect and dignity. All the staff are very friendly and helpful, with both residents and their families. All catering needs are cared for. If there is nothing on the menu choices liked, alternatives are offered. I would recommend this home to others.
