View Full Details of Belmont ViewBoth of my parent were cared for in Belmont View for the last few months of their lives. The staff provided excellent care for both of them. It was so re-assuring to know they were safe and well-cared for.
Belmont View is an excellent care home. It is a friendly place with approachable staff who are keen to ensure residents are happy and looked after to the highest standards possible. Any issues raised by family are dealt with immediately and the next of kin is informed promptly if the resident is in need of medical attention or there have been any problems. There are a wide range of activities organised for the residents. My mother's room was spacious, nicely furnished and always very clean. The laundry was done daily and her clothes returned to her room efficiently. Every effort was made to ensure she had food and drinks she enjoyed. Visitors were always greeted by staff and made welcome.
All of the staff provided excellent care and especially, the end-of-life care.
It was very difficult to transfer the care of my dad to Belmont View but the staff were caring and understood my emotions. He felt safe and supported. On reflection, it was the right place for Dad in his last six months.
This was Mam's second stay this year. We had not had a break in four years and reached out to Belmont View for advice on respite care. Belmont View turned out to be a home-from-home. Wonderful, caring and supportive staff. Very clean, modern decor and a welcoming atmosphere. Would not hesitate to recommend this home. Mam is blind and the staff made such an effort in supporting her during her stay. Although Mam did not join in with activities, at her own choice, the staff ensured that she was not isolated by regularly popping in for a chat. The home feels to be well-run, staff were available when needed and I felt that Mam was well cared for. Although Mam obviously prefers to be at home, she is happy to return to Belmont View should the need arise which I think reflects well on the home and staff.
The care given to my wife was excellent.
From the start of the respite visit, my husband was treated with warmth and all the staff were supportive and pleasant. All interactions with the team have been efficient and it is clearly evident that this home is run by a caring team who enjoy their work.
Mum moved to Belmont View in September 2022 having lived independently in Liverpool. She quickly settled in as the staff became an extended family. They made her feel very welcome and Mum took part in the wide-ranging activities. The location of the home, in the centre of Guisborough, meant we could go for a walk and enjoy the many cafes and eating places on offer. Food was close to Mum's heart and she enjoyed mealtimes, talking with other residents and the variety of food on offer. A hairdresser was available on site along with a dentist and the GP was next door. Housekeeping was excellent with laundry returned the same day and room cleaned. Belmont is a family-run business. Nothing was too much trouble and all staff were kind and respectful. We have no hesitation in recommending Belmont View Care Home.
Staff very helpful and friendly.
From start to finish my engagement with all levels of staff from management to care givers was excellent. My mum had quite extensive health issues and they took time to listen to her requirements and responded efficiently and effectively to ensure everything was in place before arrival. Although Mum was only in for a short time she was welcomed and made comfortable in homely surroundings.
Belmont View were able to support us twice at short notice for respite care - it was very reassuring to know that my mum was safe and well cared for during these periods. We were very happy with Belmont View and would certainly recommend them.
I find the staff in Belmont View Care Home very professional. My father enjoys his time there, lots of activities most days. Good food. Clean, bright and modern. Staff are very approachable.
Staff at Belmont View have been so supportive and helpful in moving my husband from his previous care home into Belmont View. They have answered all my concerns in a calm and reassuring way.
Mam has been cared for in Belmont for three years now and the care has been good. She has a good relationship with all the staff. Mam has dementia and Alzheimer’s and is double incontinence but she is always kept clean and tidy, the staff have a brilliant understanding of her needs. Mam was moved to the EMI unit from residential at the end of October and settled better than we thought she would. She was encouraged by staff to interact more with other residents and is now more sociable.
My father is a resident at Belmont View and is extremely happy, he has been in Belmont View since June 2022 and made many friends, the staff are amazing with him and as a family we feel very comfortable approaching the staff should we have any concerns regarding Dad's health etc. The care home were particularly supportive with Dad and our family when my mum had to be moved into a nursing care home. Mum and Dad had been married 63 years and this was very traumatic for Dad and Mum too. Dad was given the opportunity to move with Mum, however he would have been on a different floor and would have to make new friends and he really felt that he should stay where he was knowing that Mum's health was deteriorating fast. They supported him through it and we are extremely grateful for this and Dad trusts the staff which I think is paramount to the care they offer.
Friendly, caring staff who treat my father with love and dignity. The care home is well-run and any issues or questions are immediately dealt with. An excellent care home.
Dad is very well cared for. His individual needs are always met. Staff are friendly, caring and knowledgeable.
I cannot thank or praise high enough the staff and carers of this home. My mum recently passed away and they were so caring and supportive to my mum and my family. They were kind and understanding and sympathetic to our distress. I had never met the night staff before but would like to say how lovely they were to us as we stayed at my mum’s bedside for 4 nights. They comforted and reassured us and we were impressed with how calm and cosy the home was at night time. I would love to name some of the staff who went above and beyond their job description, but realise this isn’t possible. The manager is an extremely kind and caring person and this is reflected in the calm way he runs Belmont View.
My nana was in the care home for approx 14/15 months. I couldn’t be more impressed with the quality of care. Having been in and out of hospital and another care home, I had grown disillusioned with the apathy and general lack of quality care. At Belmont View, this couldn’t have been more different. My nana was immediately comfortable and settled, clearly being looked after well. But what humbled my family most was how utterly lovely all the staff were. Each member of staff showed genuine empathy and understanding of our situation. Whilst caring til the very end for my nana, they also supported my family. Bringing refreshments, checking in, sharing their stories of loss and staying with us, nothing seemed a burden for them. When it became too much for my family to bear, they sat with my nana when we simply couldn’t. How humbling to know they viewed a resident’s life with the same respect and care that we would as a family. What an amazing team of conscientious and caring staff.
Incredibly impressed by warm welcome well kept clean and beautiful decor for residents to feel comfortable, homely and safe. My visit was for one hour. My grandad was well cared for, comfortable, safe, in clean warm bedding and PJs in a room made to feel like his own, with pictures clothing, teddy dog (his favourite). There are plenty of activities throughout the week for pleasure and keeping my grandad happy. The best of care.
