View Full Details of The DalesI stayed here in May this year for almost two weeks as a respite visit. As per my two previous stays, I found the care and attention taken by the staff to my needs incredibly heart-warming. It should be noted that my first stay was using a zimmer frame but nowadays I am wheelchair bound. Because of my deteriorating mobility, the changes to my requirements were documented and catered for. The care home itself has undergone extensive refurbishment since my 2nd visit which was in September 2017. The guests furnished lounge area (which I privately refer to as the ‘grand piano room’) has been finished to an extremely high degree worthy of any top hotel. The attention to residents dietary needs/preferences at meal times is well worthy of note. The quality and variety of the meals are first class which although I have mentioned before is worth repeating. Meal supervision for those with less dexterity is second to none.
My mother spent the last few months of her life at The Dales. The care she had was excellent. The staff are very cheerful and friendly. They are also very knowledgeable and kept me well informed of my mother's condition. Eating arrangements are very flexible. I was always made welcome at any time. My mother died amongst friends.
