View Full Details of East Croft GrangeMy mum took up residence at East Croft Grange in December 2022. Sadly mum passed away this week. She was completely at home at East Croft Grange, constantly telling us how happy she was and how well looked after she was. All of the staff were great. A big thank you to all the carers who were so nice with mum who suffered with dementia. A particular mention goes to the Care Home Manager, and the other cares with whom nothing was ever any trouble. This is a very top end care home managed and run by people who care completely. Thank you.
Since arriving in late August my mother has settled in well and is thriving with all the care and attention. She is thoroughly enjoying the activities and the staff are always helpful. We are also always made to feel most welcome when visiting.
I can finally settle now that my Dad is being taken care of. The staff in particular were amazing at putting my Dad at ease and helping him adjust to such a big change. I cannot thank or praise this place enough.
This place is the perfect balance of well-run and friendly. The staff couldn't do enough for my husband, especially when he first went in. A truly unique place that deserves the high rating it has here and with the Care Quality Commission. The experience and care of the manager and the staff really shine through and means that we have peace of mind, knowing he is being looked after. Being able to trust the people who are caring for someone close to you is crucial and we absolutely made the right choice going with East Croft. They seem able to handle many different and complex cases judging by the brilliant mix of residents.
Absolutely amazing staff and service. From the first assessment when things had reached crisis point at home, to the settling in period and then into the day to day care, East Croft Grange have been outstanding. The manager and the staff including the carers have been an absolute godsend. They are caring but straight talking and have gone out of their way to help my dad. If you are lucky enough to get a place here for a loved one I cannot recommend it highly enough.
Friendly, well-staffed care home. Residents are provided with their particular needs and are encouraged to take part in many activities that are usually arranged twice a day, five days a week. Health problems seem to be reported early and acted upon. Medicine, basic care and dietary needs are well managed. We are very happy with the care Mam is receiving, and she seems to be more settled.
East Croft Grange have been looking after my dad for a while now, he’s 83 and has dementia. The care he’s receiving is 10/10 and we can’t fault anything from the quality of his room to the daily activities, food quality etc. The staff are superb and nothing is any trouble.
My wife and I are very satisfied with the care my mother has received while she has been a resident of Eastcroft Grange. The home is kept exceptionally clean and her room is lovely. All the carers go out of their way to help whenever they’re needed and seem to be genuinely interested in providing the best care possible. The management keeps us well-informed regarding my mother’s wellbeing and is also friendly and very approachable. All in all, we think she is in the best possible place for her at this moment in time.
The home is well run and the staff are always welcoming and friendly. Meals are good and residents are well cared for. The home is very clean and well looked after but value for money is lacking as £1200 per week is quite excessive after my mam has worked all her life and this is her reward.
Due to family illness, we had to find my father a care home very quickly. East Croft could not have been any more helpful and welcoming. The home has such a welcoming atmosphere and appears just like any normal home. The staff are second to none, supporting both residents and family. I was able to call anytime to check on my father. There is always something going on as well; I’m not sure if they have an actives coordinated, but there are things to do, quizzes and singers. My father is 92 and has smoked a pipe since his youth - they don’t bat an eyelid. When he asked, they got his pipe and went outside with him. The rooms are well-furnished and spacious, and there is a lift to the upper floor. I would recommend this care home with no problem.
The staff are welcoming, friendly and professional. That professionalism continues with the management and external visitors who come in to entertain or work with residents. There is a comprehensive plan for home improvements, maintenance and the residents are kept informed about them. I felt unable to give the food five stars as I’m only aware of what the snacks and sundries are but I can say my father never says he’s hungry. I would definitely recommend this home to others requiring care.
My mum has been made to feel very welcome during her short-term care visit. A choice of food has been offered to her daily, which has been enjoyed by her. Care staff have looked after her and provided appropriate care for her needs. Staff have shown an interest in her life and family. This stay was quickly arranged for her safety and all the above helped her to be comfortable with this. Mum has decided this is the care she needs from now on at ninety-five. It was a big decision for her, as she is a very private and independent person who has a quiet life. So, we gave her a choice of another placement within the same company. Mum has decided to move to the other home, to be nearer to my sister and to live her life the way she has chosen. Thank you to all who contributed to this.
My mam went to East Croft Grange from hospital for four weeks respite. After, she did not feel confident returning to her own home. She felt safe and was well looked after at East Croft, so made the decision to make it her permanent home. I can not recommend this home enough; the staff were friendly, attentive, made person-centred care a priority and were very supportive to my mam and the family. It was very well managed and the staff went above and beyond. I can not thank them enough for what they did for my mam and us as a family.
Mam went into East Croft for 4 weeks respite with the intention of returning home but felt so well cared for she decided to stay. Mam feels secure, safe and very comfortable here and is enjoying the food. Her room is lovely and she has now made it home. I am so pleased that Mam has settled here. I am very reassured that Mam is safe and happy here.
I cannot praise the management and staff of this care home enough! The manager's ‘can do’ attitude was truly refreshing, she really stepped in to support us when we had nowhere else to turn. Every member of staff I have dealt with has been kind and respectful and are well informed of my uncle's health issues. There’s always something for the residents to do with a full calendar of activities. Our uncle has only been at the home for a few weeks but we can already see a huge difference in him. His quality of life has improved so much and it’s nice to see him smiling again. We can sleep easy knowing he is safe and happy.
East Croft is by far the best in the area. I have worked in a lot of homes as a hairdresser and find that East Croft is definitely far superior to them all. The care, compassion, food, staff, cleanliness is second to none. We as a family are so happy with our mother's care and everything that goes with it. Just the best.
This was my first visit since the covid restrictions were introduced in 2020. The home felt very safe. Dad was very well and comfortable - a credit to the staff and carers - thank you.
My mother has been a resident at East Croft Grange for over 4 years. I have never had any concerns regarding her care, the previous manager and staff were all kind and caring. During lockdown keeping us in contact with video calls. The new manager and staff, although I was worried at first, have proved to be equally as excellent. In fact, the manager at the moment is much more down-to-earth, open, honest, and friendly. Residents there are extremely lucky to have the best care. I would recommend East Croft Grange to anyone wanting a family member cared for.
Dad has been in Eastcroft for over 3 years. He has received excellent care the whole time. He is happy, content, clean, well-fed, and treated with respect. The rooms, corridors, etc were looking tired but are now bright and welcoming as the decorating is in progress. The staff are good with all the residents, very patient, and treat them with dignity. They are given the choice of where they spend their day and not lined up in lounges facing each other (which I experienced with my mother in a different home).
Mum is very happy at East Croft with the staff demonstrating excellent care and making efforts to ensure Mum is made happy. Recent redecorations of the property have brightened the rooms, making them more welcoming.
