View Full Details of Inglewood (Cumbria) LtdThe staff have been amazing since my mother in law came into the home for respite in December. They can't do enough for her or her family. The meals are by all accounts amazing, and the residents are always being offered drinks and treats. the rooms are always clean and appear comfortable.
I found the staff very friendly and competent. The residents are treated with respect and compassion. Overall the residential home is run very well, and my sister is very happy here, she does not want to leave!
I have been really impressed with the physical and emotional care for my husband by many staff members. He is helped to wash and dress and when I took him to the dentist, the dentist commented on how much cleaner his teeth were than on previous visits. Also that in his experience this was not usually the case with care home residents. Members of staff remember about his obsession with football and talk with him about Tottenham Hotspur. Seniors try to offer the best for his condition.
My mum was sent to Inglewood from the hospital. She was there for 2 weeks then got a phone call to say she was taken to hospital in the night. I went to visit her and she told me the manager was trying to rush her. She replied I can't rush I have bad legs and she is very unstable on her feet. So I said to my mum I will find out what is going on. But the next day my mum passed away in hospital. Still trying to sort the funeral out not have much time to find out what went on when she was in Inglewood. Hopefully, be able to sort things out when my mum is laid to rest.
Always welcome and everywhere is very clean. I don't think residents get enough showers and mum likes a bath really. The lift is often broken which makes it hard for mum as she doesn't like the stair lift. Always seems to be a problem with staffing, especially weekends. No manager at the moment.
My grandad settled here really well very quickly. All the staff are caring towards him and always find the time to chat. He really likes the carers and his face lights up when they speak to him. There is always plenty to do entertainment wise and the food is fantastic. He is always eating great meals and filled with plenty of tea and snacks during the day. The home is clean and well maintained. Overall a great place.
My lovely dad recently moved into Inglewood and from the moment he arrived the management and their care team have shown endless kindness, care and patience towards dad. They have continued to ensure all his needs are met and that he feels safe and secure. Although cared for, dad still feels he has a level of independence and is able to make his own decisions and choices. His confidence has grown and enjoys the company of the other residents. Inglewood has a lovely vibe about it and I'm delighted that dad is happy there.
Mam's very happy in the home. There's been a lot of changes in the last few months, lots of care staff left who've been there a long time, the communication was good but not so good now. Since new management, family members have struggled to get through on the phone (rang one day eight times at different times of the day), family should be able to ring and get through. Family matters (not had any), new care staff are lovely and caring (which is a priority). Mam is clean, tidy, well-fed and loves the activities. Good but need better communication with management and more homely and warm.
I think this is a good home, nice carers, nice meals, good food, good management. I like looking after the birds in the garden.
I am happy as my uncle is living in Inglewood Care Home since 16th June 2023. My uncle came to stay for respite, he liked it and wanted to stay permanently at Inglewood because the staff were good and caring. My uncle likes to enjoy daily activities and joining the afternoon club in the care home.
I have been visiting my friend since last year and I have found Inglewood Care Home to be clean and tidy at all times. My friend is actually blind and aged 90 so I feel more activities should be provided for her, e.g. a radio would be good as she obviously can't see the television but she could hear the radio. Also, she needs to be stimulated with talking and involvement with staff and could do singing and activities with people to chat to a person to read to them could be good. Thank you.
Inglewood Residential Home is a wonderful place. The staff give an excellent service, showing care and ensure the residents are happy and keep them occupied to make sure their stay is a happy environment for all. They are very welcoming to all visitors and it doesn't matter if they are family or friends of the resident, all are treated with a warm welcome. I highly recommend this home.
I am so pleased with the care and attention given by the staff to my mum and other residents in the home. Certainly no complaints.
My mum has lived in Inglewood for five and a half years. She and I have found the home and staff to be excellent. Nothing is of any trouble to anyone. The care they provide is excellent. I wouldn't like my mum to be anywhere but in Inglewood.
I rate the home 0 stars based on: Poor quality furnishings, wardrobe and chest of drawers made from cheap flat pack, bottoms of drawers bulged and out of the rebate. The room in which the w.c. was fitted was so small that my partner was unable to unable to use her Zimmer to get to the w.c unless she reversed in. We had to provide our own commode as she could not access the toilet. The only space in the room for the commode was directly in front of the window; this faced onto the staff smoking area so there was no privacy whilst toileting. Security concerns: a male resident from another room wandered into her room late one evening. Food; Her evening meal (at 4:40 pm) on the only occasion I visited her at meal times was a rasher of bacon between 2 slices of white bread, not what I consider part of a balanced diet. Hygiene: she received 1 bath in the 2 weeks she was interred there. In a word, appalling, but there is no facility on the rating chart to give 0 stars.
I visited my distant relative whom I have not seen in three years. She was in a previous care home before and since moving to this care home, she appears very clean and well-presented. Her general health has improved, she is able to hold a cup and now give herself a drink. She is much more relaxed. The staff were very helpful.
The whole home is excellent. I now see this as my home. I love my room. The food is great and plentiful, and the staff are all very kind. I like joining in with the activities, and everything runs to plan.
I have found the home to be obliging and kind in every way. Nothing is too much bother. The management and staff are excellent. I feel my husband is in good hands.
Mam has been a resident of Inglewood since November 2021. Despite previous issues with the previous manager which have been dealt with, the level of care my mam receives is outstanding, she's settled in well and feels at home here. The staff are knowledgeable, professional, friendly and cater to my mam's specific needs. The girls there keep me up to date with any health issues and I feel confident that my mam is in the best possible care here. It's a home away from home with 24-hour support, proper home-cooked tasty food and lovely staff. They are all doing a great job and I thank you.
I have always found staff to be kind and helpful. Resident seems very happy.
