View Full Details of Church ViewMy mother receives outstanding care from an amazing team of carers who go above and beyond to meet her individual needs. The Care Home is superbly led by the Assistant Care Manager who inspires and motivates the team and always finds solutions if any problems arise. She is cared for with great dignity, love, respect and compassion. The carers are encouraged to spend time getting to know the residents and my mother looks upon them as family as do I. The Care Home is well maintained incredibly clean food is excellent quality. My mother enjoys the many activities that are put on every day. She loves being pampered having her hair and nails done every week. As a family we were hesitant at the prospect of our mother becoming a resident but she quickly settled and thoroughly enjoys her life. I believe her life has been extended due to the exceptional care she receives and I and my family are greatly comforted in the knowledge she is very happy and so well cared for by an amazing team.
My father in law was a little reticent at the prospect of becoming a resident in a care home. However after a visit where he was able to meet staff and get a feel of the home he was much more at ease with the idea. He has now been a resident there for 6 months and still as settled there as when he became a resident. Church View is well laid out and meticulously clean and caters for all the needs of the residents. The staff there are gems and nothing is any bother for them. Their whole work essence is for the good and well being of the residents who they arrange multiple activities for as well as tending to the individual needs of each. On my many visits now it is a joy to see their interaction with my father in law and also their willingness and encouragement of the residents to introduce new aspects for example a domino handicap which has encouraged other residents to participate. The knowledge he is supported and well looked after has been a great reassurance to us as a family.
Church View and all of its team has exceeded our expectations about what could be delivered in a care home. The home came recommended to me through a variety of routes and I know I could not feel more comfortable about the care my parents have received there. The care standards set are high; the environment is homely and of a high quality and the facilities are modern. More importantly than this, the way in which care standards are carried out in practice is remarkable. Individual carers are empathetic, personal and genuine in the way they care for each and every resident and this makes this a very special place. The leaders here have created an environment where each and every individual is treated with genuine care and personalised attention; every member of the whole multidisciplinary team is impressive in their own field. I would recommend Church View unreservedly; we are lucky to have found it.
Having had to find a home at short notice for our beloved mother/mother-in -law, we have found this home to be superb. The rooms are well-furnished, warm and well equipped. The activities are well-planned, innovative and fun, and residents are supported and encouraged to join in. Each and every staff member is so welcoming and friendly and go above and beyond to make each resident feel at home, cared for and content. They are treated as individual personalities and listened to, even when they are repeating themselves again and again! The expertise ,warmth, good humour and understanding of the staff has also helped us a family navigate through the cruel disease of dementia, and their support in difficult moments has been very much appreciated.
I cannot fault Church View Care Home, the care and compassion they show residents is wonderful. Nothing is too much trouble. The care is very person centred. There is always something on for the residents to do family and friends are encouraged to join in.
My mum recently moved into Church View October 2024. It is the first time in 20 years that I feel she is very well cared for. The staff are amazing! Making my mum feel at home from the minute we entered. I highly recommend this care home for loved ones.
My dad was very anti care homes, kept himself to himself so it was very difficult initially with the move to Church View but after a bad fall and my dad arriving straight from hospital the staff were so welcoming. His whole support was very individual to his own needs and how he prefers things to be. Initially, the plan was for my dad to be there short term then to be reviewed. The day of the review we were all totally surprised my dad asked if he could stay as he liked his room so much and had settled knowing he could have his independence while having the reassurance he was fully supported when needed. He says he has no worries and he loves the staff, his room is like a hotel room, cleaned every day, the food is lovely, lots to choose from and nothing is a bother when he asks for a little help.
My relative was very unsure of coming to this home. After two or three days, she felt like she was so lucky to be in such a beautiful place. I do think this place is so special. The staff (all of them) make everyone feel like you (residents and family) are all individuals, and also part of the home's family. Nothing is too small or too big that they can't help to sort it out. Fantastic!
Wonderful home, with caring staff, upon my visit to I was greeted by a member of staff who took the time to show me to my grandfather's new room and was asked if there was anything we needed just to ask. My grandfather has been unwell for some time and after only a short time has settled in really well and compliments his room and staff that help him live as independently as possible which is important to the family as he's a proud man. Overall my first impressions are one of relief that he is so well cared for and how clean the home is, well managed, lovely garden area with a warm welcome, A*.
If you are considering Church View Care Home for a loved one, please look no further. I didn’t look around, I picked Church View because of where it is in Murton as my lovely mam is from Murton and she is from the area. But I couldn’t have picked anywhere better, yes it’s clean and tidy, well-maintained, lovely and airy. It’s the staff, they are fantastic, in a word, they care, really care, from the manager to all that work there, they all care and look after my mam and all the residents every need.
Always a “warm welcome” at Church View! My mum has been an extremely independent lady so transition from “home to home” was always going to be a challenge for all concerned but the team at Church View rose to that challenge and in my mum’s own words, “they run a very tight ship here”- so what more can I say? Alzheimer’s tests resilience and patience and it takes a very special person to accommodate this every single day so I have every admiration for all of the Church View team - they instil confidence which allows me peace of mind.
Lack of communication. I can't get to visit mam due to husband not well. Feel as though I get judged by it but no one in there knows the history of trouble been caused in past. Never inform me of what's going on just read little bits on app.
It's coming up to a year now since Mam first came to the home and I am delighted to say, she has thrived and enjoyed herself, especially around the daily activities. The staff are extremely kind, helpful and supportive to her and the family are content in the knowledge she is happy.
Very special care staff employeed, along with students seniors, administration, housekeeping, kitchen staff, activities and maintenance, especially management. All lovely. The location is central and easily accessible. The range of activities is very good.
Excellent home with lovely caring staff. So grateful for the care my mother receives. She is very happy and we rest in the knowledge she is being very well cared for. We have great peace of mind. Many many thanks to everyone involved in her care.
Excellent personal and communal care of all the residents with their different needs. Staff are great at assessing and meeting these needs. Mother receives nursing care and personal care such as hair nails feet and stimulation activities every day.
This care home is first class and I would recommend it to anyone thinking about staying in this lovely home. Also, it has the most friendly staff you could come across. They all put 100% into looking after their residents.
The care that my mum receives at Church View Care Home is second to none. The staff are all amazing; they treat her as one of their own family. They have days out and activities that she takes part in, which seems to help.
Mam has dementia, as do some of the other residents. Despite the care challenges this can bring, the care home staff interact with all residents in a friendly and respectful manner. The numerous activities that residents are encouraged to participate in means that Mam is doing more in the care home than she did at her own home prior to admittance.
Our elderly mam has mixed dementia and after visiting a number of care homes, we decided on Church View. We could not have made a better decision, the staff are all very caring and when visiting we can see the interaction between carers and residents. The daily organised activities really stimulate the residents and the use of external entertainers brings another dimension to the resident's lifestyle. Since our mam has been a resident we have seen a vast improvement in her health and her awareness.
