View Full Details of Parklands Care HomeFrom the first day, it was evident that Parklands Residential Care Home stands out for its exceptional care and warmth. My mother has never been happier; her bright smile and stories of her days filled with singing and chatting with the team are heartwarming. The staff's dedication and genuine kindness are unmatched. Every visit, we're greeted with a friendly offer of a hot drink and a consistently clean, well-maintained community area. The attention to detail and the pride the staff take in their work are truly commendable. We are deeply appreciative of the outstanding care and support provided, making Parklands Care Home a true home for our loved ones.
My mother has been an EMI resident since July 2022. She has received outstanding care throughout this period. She has formed some very strong bonds with seniors and carers and has some absolute favourites. Over this time she has mellowed and looks healthy, more relaxed, and well looked after, much better than before she became a resident even at 94 years old. We know that she is not an easy person and never has been so that makes her present demeanour even more special and must have been achieved by the hard work of her seniors and carers. She praises the food and obviously enjoys it. Her personal appearance is very good, being maintained so well by her carers and seniors and facilitated by an in-house laundry and hairdressing service. We would highly recommend Parklands, not just for the facilities provided and the fantastic care she receives, but also for the thoughtfulness shown by carers and seniors to both her and us, her family.
Mam has been in Parklands for 18 months now and I am happy with her care. She is well looked after though her behaviour at times can be trying. Mam has her own room and can have her own furniture if she wants it. Admin staff have been extremely helpful when dealing with adult social care, etc.
The staff are very helpful to us as a family and do their very best for the residents in their care. I am very grateful to them all.
I have been very impressed with the good care and attention shown at Parklands. The alertness is impressive and also the unflappability of the staff and the leadership demonstrated.
My aunt has been a resident at Parklands for 8 years. She is extremely well looked after, even though her behaviour at times can be very testing for the staff. The care is excellent, their level of patience, compassion, kindness and friendliness is wonderful. They are true professionals. The main building is old but they have overcome this with bright, colourful decor. The whole building is kept very clean and fresh. Although my aunt would rather be at home, she is mostly content and relaxed. The food is freshly cooked on the premises, it is excellent. There are varied activities and entertainment. I cannot praise the staff at Parklands highly enough from cleaners, cooks, handymen, entertainment, admin, secretaries, carers and management. They go above and beyond for their residents. I am very grateful for their love and support.
Excellent level of care; attention to detail, regulatory compliance, and family involvement. Always welcoming!
Having my Mam in Parklands has helped with a lot of worry as she is looked after and taken care of, plus she is safe. I am happy with most of the staff because if she is unwell I am contacted straight away and kept informed as the day goes on. I love there own private rooms as they have peace and quiet if they are unwell and they are kept very clean. I am also happy with their meals.
The home is clean and tidy, with no bad smells or odours. The staff are attentive and have a good rapport with the people who are residing in the home. They are doing a good job and my father has no complaints.
I have been living here for more than 11 months. I am quite happy here. The staff are not always available, but when they arrive they do their best. The food is good and room service is also good.
In an ideal world, it would be great for the building itself to get an upgrade - more ensuite rooms, paint wall, new floorings etc, but the staff do a wonderful job, meaning I can't recommend Parklands highly enough.
My husband has been very well looked after. The food is excellent. He is happy with everything they do for him.
Absolutely fantastic place from what I've seen myself the day care staff are amazing they were red hot running about in this really hot weather, I envy them it's a very warm home never mind them doing their jobs in it my hat goes off to them and I've seen the cuddles the service users get when they are feeling abit upset I would recommend this place to anyone for the sake of the care staff for the quality of care they provide on a day to day basis well dome carers
Due to covid and being unable to visit until 2021 the carers were extremely caring to me with phone calls and settling my mom into Parklands. Also mum gained weight due to varied diet of good lovely good meals.
My mother is a resident at Parklands Care Home. She is happy at the care home and never has a negative word to say about the care she receives. Myself and my family are happy with the care that my mother receives at Parklands, and we have no concerns.
Updates have become slightly better due to a Facebook page, however, I wouldn't recommend. Poor staffing and poor handover when Gran went to the hospital.
My mother has been staying at Parklands for 22 months and has settled in quite nicely, mam is not a big eater but the food always looks and smells great. My husband and l are over the moon that none of the residents has tested positive for covid, for which we think the staff deserves everyone's thanks. There have been a lot more activities over the past few months, which we learn about through the newsletters we receive. My mother still has her nightly gin and tonic which l know she has always enjoyed.
Due to the Covid restrictions, I cannot comment on a lot of the options. However, from what I have observed, the care appears to be satisfactory.
My Father-in-Law was in this care home, the care was a disgrace. I'm seeking legal action against the home, I can't say what it was for but the quality of care was disgraceful and is understaffed. I don't blame the staff, it's the manager who should be on top of things I transferred my father-in-law to another home which was 100 times better.
I had never had anything to do with care homes until my Mam had to go in. I'm very grateful for the care as it's 24 hours which is what my Mam requires. It gives me peace of mind knowing my Mam is cared for and I do feel the carers really do care for the residents.
