View Full Details of ValdigarthOur brother has been at Valdigarth care home for ten years. Brother is happy and very content. On visits, all staff are very welcoming and friendly, and you get a real family feeling. In summer months, the residents go on day trips or holidays, theatre or for food, etc.
We were the resident's carers until she went into a care home, but have kept in contact as they have no other family. The resident visits us once a month and she is clean, happy and well-presented, always talkative, telling me what activities she has been doing (swimming, tea, dance, gym, bingo, disco, the list is endless). We have good communication with the staff and we know if we have any concerns we can always approach them.
I feel that my son is settled at Valdigarth and has a good relationship with staff and residents. The relationship with the staff which I have is relaxed whilst still being professional, which enabled me to be able to easily discuss matters of my son's care. Above all I feel that my son enjoys living at Valdigarth and is happy there whilst the staff care for his welfare which is a great relief to myself.
I have always found every member of staff to be kind, compassionate and fully committed to ensuring all residents lead a happy and fulfilling life. I am kept up to date with any health and well-being issues and always made to feel very welcome when I visit. Nothing we need as a family is ever dismissed and I feel confident my sibling is happy in their home and surrounded by a second caring family.
Staff are very good, they are really caring and look after the residents. First-class service.
Ever since my sister arrived at Valdigarth, she has settled easier than anywhere else she has been. The home is very clean and staff are friendly and welcoming. The staff have time for residents and try to resolve any concerns promptly.
