View Full Details of Field ViewMy mam has been a resident in Field View since January this year and I can honestly say she could not have chosen a better home, there are so many good points. Firstly the carers, admin and domestic staff are all amazing, they are all so friendly and loving towards the residents, nothing is too much trouble for them. They are always smiling and go out of their way to make the residents, such as my mam feel cared for and above all else happy and loved. The rooms are an adequate size and can be made homely and they are always beautifully clean. They have lots of activity's, there is always something happening such as singers, bingo, games always something to look forward to its just great to see my mam singing along especially to Elvis and especially just being happy.
My mam was in Field View home for nearly 3 years, which she loved. I would like to thank all of the staff for their dedication to my mom's care. She was always treated with dignity and respect. The staff could not have done more to make sure she was looked after. With every aspect of her day-to-day care. The manager was so thoughtful, and she cared a lot about the residents. I cannot thank her enough. Sadly my mam has passed away, but the care she received up until her passing was excellent. She classed Field View as her home. I had her funeral left to Field View. Anyone considering a relative to go into care, need not worry at all if they were going into field view.
My nana has been in Field View Home for the past three years, I cannot recommend this care home enough, having worked in the NHS for over 25 years and having experience of many care settings Field View is in my opinion one of the best. The staff are extremely caring and compassionate and treat my nana like she was part of the family. My nana was very happy there and settled in very quickly. The card home is very well led and the manager has a hands-on approach always available to talk to and help with any concerns. The last few weeks of my nanas life was very difficult however the care and compassion shown throughout made a very difficult time that little bit easier. The staff went above and beyond to provide individual, person-centred care, from playing her favourite music to supporting us as a family. I am extremely grateful to all of the team at Field View from the cleaning staff to the cooks the care team and management the whole team made such a difference.
The staff at Field View are all exceptional. They have gone above and beyond all expectations. My father moved into the home in November, following a 3-week stint in another care home, which he disliked. The Home Manager and all the staff were so welcoming and accommodating to Dad`s needs. He quickly settled, he enjoyed the daily activities and felt part of a wider family - as did we. My father took ill in hospital, following an emergency admission for high potassium, he was in hospital for 1 week. When dad was returned back to Field View, he was still unwell, the staff moved very quickly to ensure he was comfortable. Unfortunately, dad was placed end of life care. The staff showed him and us so much compassion and cared for dad in his final week of life. They offered us a shoulder to cry on and let me stay all week to be with my dad. I can`t thank the staff enough for providing my dad and my family a beautiful place to say goodbye, surrounded by so much love from all of the staff.
Since my mam has been in the care home Field View I have noticed she seems to be a lot happier in herself. It makes us happy knowing that she is getting looked after every day by caring staff. Thank you.
Mum a resident now for 5 months. The staff are just amazing and genuine, in their love and care for Mum. We are so pleased she feels safe and cared for. Nothing too much trouble. Would recommend to others this home.
My mam has only been here for 4 weeks now. The room is warm and very clean. The staff can't do enough for you. The meals are very nice so my mam tells me.
Since my father went in two months ago, I have found the staff and management very attentive, helpful, pleasant and caring. I have not seen a staff member lose their temper or become aggressive at any point. All are very approachable and genuinely interested in the welfare of the residents. The food always looks appealing and well-presented. Plenty of activities too which are always well publicised in advance. The only criticism and it would be a minor one, is sometimes his room floor looks grubby, and the system for returning or washing clothes/towels is lacking. I do appreciate that both of these things are difficult if the resident is memory-taxed taxed though. In summary, very happy.
The property was always clean with fresh bedding and towels. The ability to lock the bedroom door is ideal for anxious residents. Friendly happy staff who from initial contact to leaving continuously go above and beyond and understand this as a first-time occurrence for both resident and family. Field View has a feeling of a warm welcome and feeling safe. If any noise is heard and the staff are there to check all is okay. Residents are extremely well cared for and as a family, we could certainly recommend and wouldn't hesitate in using the service again if required.
I always feel my dad is being well cared for at Field View Care Home, he is always dressed well and clean. His room is always clean and tidy and I often see the laundry woman putting clean clothes in his wardrobe. All the staff I meet whilst visiting are usually pleasant and helpful, including the activities organiser and office staff/management. My dad often comments about how he likes it here, he has Alzheimer's and mobility problems but seems to get a lot of stimulation.
The staff here are very good and caring for my Father, especially over the last few months after Mam dying.
Excellent home and cannot fault the staff, good admin and the boss is always helpful. The care dad receives is spot on. Would recommend this home to others.
Mam has been here twice now for respite, and the home is very clean and airy; the rooms are of decent size and have decent quality fixtures and fittings. The staff are very friendly, and the quality of care is very good. We hope to use this home again in the future.
My mum was admitted to Field View following some time in hospital and a rehab care home. However, she was still bedbound (and remained so until her death) and as such required a lot of care and attention. some of the care required was very personal and (I'm sure) unpleasant for those providing it - but never the less they all did their job professionally and with good humour and a caring manner. Management too were very helpful and friendly, the entire staff are to be thanked for the lovely work they did for my Mum.
Having spent a very happy 18 months in the care home, due to his health deteriorating, he had a reluctance to move on - which in the home, he received exceptional care from a well-appointed staff, in a happy and friendly atmosphere, and he found it a sad day when he had to leave. As a visitor, I was always treated very well in a friendly atmosphere. Finally, if I ever need care, I hope they have a vacancy!
I was admitted to Field View from the hospital on the 31st January 2022. I could not fault the home or the staff and I enjoyed my stay.
My mother recently had six weeks' rehab care after breaking her hip on Christmas eve. From the very first day she was made very welcome and comfortable and looked after to a very high standard. All of the staff were pleasant and helpful and nothing was too much trouble, even down to giving her a hug when she was feeling down! They really lifted her spirits. One day I video called her and the manager was styling her hair and the administration officer was sorting her phone! They gave her lots of attention and always had time for a chat, even when they were rushed off their feet.
My mother was admitted for convalescence following a fall and consequent hip replacement. She was discharged from North Tees into the Care of Field View and has asked me to comment on the wonderful, care and consideration she was receiving throughout the period of her stay. The manageress and all her employees, without exception, were mentioned for their professionalism, courtesy and genuine love. She has asked me to say that whilst she would have preferred not to be admitted (she's super independent) she is incredibly appreciative of everything that everyone did for her. She never felt she had been 'too much trouble'. Both my mother and my wife and I were really impressed and incredibly thankful we 'fell' into the hands of such a super team. Thank you all!
My dad had a couple of weeks respite in here. The staff were fabulous, nothing was too much trouble. The manager, in particular, went out of her way to sort the care out for me. It gave me and my family huge peace of mind. Dad is treated with dignity and respect.
Highly recommend Field View, very caring staff for the residents. Lots of entertainment and activities for the residents. They take care of my Nanna really well. We are so glad our mother had been here through this trying Covid period as we know she has been very well looked after. High praise to all the staff, many thanks.
