View Full Details of The Grange Care HomeMam was referred to The Grange Care Home after being hospitalised. It had become apparent that she was no longer capable of looking after herself. The staff at The Grange have made her so welcome and the attention to detail for personal care is 100%. The staff and management are so friendly and pleasant, always smiling and creating a lovely atmosphere in the home. They are also always available to answer any questions family members may have. The rooms and facilities are very clean and the home has plenty of well-organised rooms for residents and their visitors to relax. The food is excellent, with plenty of choice and drinks are always available. There are regular activities and sometimes live singers. All in all, I can now sleep at night, knowing that Mam is safe and secure and coming to no harm.
My brother has been in The Grange Care Home nearly a year. He's had excellent care. The care that the management and staff have given him has been to a high standard. They're professional, friendly and polite.
Very kind and friendly staff, just do a good job looking after the residents.
Mam initially went into The Grange Care Home temporarily after a three week hospital stay as she was unable to care for herself. After further assessment the decision was made that it would be safer for her to become a permanent resident. This decision was made far easier for our family as The Grange offers a very caring atmosphere for both residents and relatives. Although mam was distressed at this decision a member of staff realised what was happening and dealt compassionately with the situation. Both management and carers are to be commended at this care home and I feel real peace of mind knowing that my mum is being so well cared for.
In our opinion as a family of four The Grange Care Home is the perfect home for our lovely mum. The staff are outstanding. Carers are not only wonderful to Mum but also give great support to us as a family. Cleaners also are friendly and often have a little chat and also a lovely smile. Thank you The Grange for all your support.
My sister has been a resident at The Grange for six months. She has dementia. I'm so pleased to have found a care home for my sister where I know she is safe and happy. The Grange is, in my opinion, a really excellent care home, especially for dementia residents. The facilities and surroundings are well adapted for dementia patients and the staff are caring and friendly. They go to great lengths to make the surroundings attractive and stimulating. I visit my sister most days for a quick visit with her dog and we always feel welcome.
The manager keeps me up to date with all matters related to my mum. I am so relieved to know my mum in a place where she is cared for, valued and respected. The Grange have a person centered approach, so my mum is seen and respected as a unique individual who's past and life story is integral to the person she is now. It's not forgotten. So the person is not lost.
My 95-year-old dad has now been resident at The Grange for almost 18 months. His health has been up and down but at all times he is treated with the utmost care and respect by the staff who go out of their way to make Dad feel at home. As we his family live quite some distance away we are not able to visit quite as often as we would like. However, we do keep in touch with regular video and phone calls and staff are always happy to facilitate these to keep up regular communication, which is so important. Thank you to the manager and her staff for all they do for our dad, which is very much appreciated.
I am so pleased with the service you offer. All of your staff are friendly and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. They smile and talk to you. The building is set out so nice. Very much like a persons true home. If there is an issue, the staff act very fast to resolve any issues. I'm so happy my dad is in your care. Thank you.
After being admitted to hospital by social workers was told by them to rehab to get my confidence back. The Grange is excellent and caring.
I do not want my Mim and Dad to leave here and go anywhere else. They are happy here and my sister and I are very happy visiting. The staff are brilliant.
I am very happy with the care given to my mum while she's been residing at The Grange. She has come on leaps and bounds since arriving here and is walking independently, is relaxed and looks at home. The carers are brilliant, all very friendly, caring and knowledgeable about their residents. I've met the manageress today who is also lovely. A big thank you to The Grange.
It's my first experience of a nursing home so I can only say what I see. The staff are very friendly and helpful but I just don't think there is enough of them.
The Grange Care Home cannot be faulted. The staff and management go out of their way to make me feel at ease and have been there to sort out any problems or issues. They have supported me and helped me whereas I have had very little support from my GP surgery. The staff at the surgery on the switchboard are not medically trained and therefore can only say very little to help. The food at The Grange is also very good and I get healthy portions.
There has been a massive improvement to the cleanliness of the home, new carpets have made a massive difference. Love the sensory display and newly decorated lounge. All of this makes a better environment for residents, visitors, family and staff. Great relationship, communication between staff, residents and visitors. Please could we have fitted sheets and more flannels.
The care home is bright, spacious with very friendly, caring staff. Food is good and entertainment is varied throughout the week.
My father went into the home for respite and a care needs assessment, following a period in hospital due to falls and confusion. He was there for 3 weeks. The manager and all the staff were very caring and responsive to his needs. Dad was very confused and delirious, the staff understood how to look after him and put his mind at rest. The only reason he didn't remain in the home was that I wanted to find a home nearer to me so that I could visit more often.
My 95-year-old dad has been a resident at The Grange for 8 months now after becoming unable to manage at home. Unfortunately, his health is declining due to old age but he has settled in now. I am just back from my latest visit and took the opportunity to sit down with the Home Manager, who took me through his extremely comprehensive care plan which was greatly reassuring. Dad is losing weight and has very little appetite. We discussed his food preferences and she agreed to ensure that dad would be offered his particular food preferences each day as an alternative to the daily menu. She involved a senior staff member and one of the kitchen staff in the discussion to ensure dad’s wishes would be met. Very reassuring. I raised a concern about dad’s low mood at times and she arranged a visit by dad’s GP. I would highly recommend The Grange and would like to pass on my thanks to the Home Manager and every member of her team for their commitment, compassion and excellent level of care.
Food is generally cold as is last in line to receive.
My personal experience with all the different staff members at The Grange Care Home has been very positive. My husband has been a resident for 2.5 years, he has advanced dementia and requires help with every aspect of day to day care. The staff met his needs with care and respect, which isn’t always an easy task as he can become quite angry due to his dementia. I know the staff will contact me if they have any concerns. I have the upmost respect for all of them.
