View Full Details of Haydon View Residential HomeThe staff are wonderful, with seemingly infinite patience. I don't know how they do it. It's a pity more advanced patients couldn't be separated more from new arrivals, but it's an old, adapted building. I don't know how often they get to sit out in the summer, I don't think there is anywhere for them to walk outside. Residents lack stimulation, weekly activities seem to be limited to half an hour of armchair exercises and half an hour of pat dog visit. Occasionally the local school comes up and the Methodist Church visit at festival times. There is usually a calm atmosphere. The staff, however, are all very special, they do an impossible job with cheerfulness and forbearance. I admire them.
Staff brilliant, caring and really helpful with any problems.
Overall, a very good care facility but falls down due to lack of staffing. All staff give 100% plus while working. Residents are treated extremely well with individualised care appropriate to their needs. Unfortunately, there appears to be a lack of activities for residents, a very necessary commodity. My mother is certainly happy living here.
Haydon View care staff provide a very caring environment. The staff respond to my mother's needs in ways that show they understand her. Their gentle caring ways allow her to relax and not become distressed. The home itself is a relaxing environment, providing quiet spaces and company, but most importantly choice.
Haydon View have provided care for my Mum and Dad for the last four months. It gives me peace of mind to know their needs are being met with such high standards of care and professionalism. The home creates a family feel for the residents and it truly is a home from home. Staff are friendly, good-humoured and professional, engaging with residents and giving them a high level of care for their health needs too. They know the residents who live there as individuals.
