My Father was a resident of Glen Devon for the last nine months of his
life. I was attracted to this particular home rather than others I had
viewed because it felt like a home rather than a clinic or hospital.
They had sofas so the family could sit together, the decoration was
fitting for the residents and it was spotlessly clean. The staff were
warm and friendly and treated the residents with dignity, respect and
affection. There were many activities for those who wanted to join in
and all residents were encouraged to do so. Sadly my father was not able
to take part in many due to his disabilities but there are photographs
of him enjoying himself in those that he did. The staff all knew the
residents and their little foibles which goes along way to making them
feel valued and at home. I also cannot fault the end of life care given
to my father, even then he was treated with dignity care and
consideration. This level of care was also extended to our family during
his last days. Thank you.
