View Full Details of Aston Hall Residential Care HomeExcellent home, excellent care, my husband came to stay here and to be looked after. He enjoys staying at Aston Hall and he adjusted to his health and being looked after. My husband loved it staying at Aston Hall.
The best of care, family-centred and empathetic, genuinely lovely staff. Excellent food and nutrition catered for. Activities provided are brilliant, they are great and inform us of all her care and if there are any problems or concerns.
My mum-in-law has been with the home since April 2022 and the staff have been amazing. She felt at home straight away. Very sadly mum passed this Monday March 13th. The staff couldn't do any more for mum or for us. Their compassion for her was so obvious and the way she and us have been treated is overwhelming.
My mum has been at Aston Hall for 6 months, she has settled very well. The staff are lovely with her, she is eating better, mixing with other residents. The staff are very helpful when you ring or call. Mum has a lovely room which is always clean and tidy. I feel more than happy that my mum is being cared for at Aston Hall.
My mum had been in Aston Hall since August 2020, and although it has been a difficult year for us, my mum's physical health has improved so much; she is talking and laughing and enjoying the company of other residents - the staff are lovely, and Mum often mentions how lovely the food is, and this is evident with the weight she has gained. Thanks to all the staff for taking good care of my mum.
My dad has lived at Aston Hall for 3 years and is very happy in his home environment. The staff are kind, caring and patient and my dad is always treated with respect. He is very settled and relaxed and all staff know his character, personality and his personal preferences. They keep me informed of anything relevant to his care and have managed through the pandemic extremely well. I have every confidence in Aston Hall.
My mum is being looked after and is happy there. This is demonstrated by her demeanour and personality when we talk with her. She is content and telling us all how she gets looked after and everyone is lovely. Since mum went there and has settled she is happier and more relaxed. The staff are always helpful when we ring to enquire about mum. Nothing is too much trouble. Not only is mum safe and happy but as a family, we are happy she is getting the best care she can get.
Mum was resident for 4 months, under coronavirus lockdown. We were very pleased with how we were all treated. We were regularly kept informed of her health and wellbeing. Staff were always professional, pleasant, kind, supportive and always made time for us. Her bedroom was the nicest and largest we'd seen. We had weekly visits, on the other side of her French door which opened out onto a lovely garden where we could also sit together. Mum had dementia and was hard of hearing, but still knew us. Staff wearing masks would be very close to her to relay what we'd said and it was apparent mum was very comfortable with them and all were warm, friendly, patient, kind and caring to her. She'd put on weight, was drinking more and was happier. We felt the owner and the home manager treated her as their own mum which they instilled into their staff - a great comfort to us, under lockdown. When mum became ill and then sadly died, the owner, the home manager and staff could not have done more for both her and us, for which we will always be grateful.
The team of carers at Aston Hall go above and beyond the care they provide. My Mum was lucky enough to be one of the first residents at this home and there is not a week that goes by when she doesn’t say how lucky she is. I live about 6 hours away and it gives me great peace of mind knowing that she is being cared for so well especially at this very difficult time of COVID-19. Communication is exceptional, the team make it so easy for me to talk to Mum and send newsletters keeping us updated. Thank you all the Aston Hall team.
My mum moved into Aston Hall Care Home of Deeside in June 2020, and right away she settled in beautifully with her room, the environment and especially the very special staff at the home. Everyone who works at the home clearly loves looking after the residents, and cares for them and demonstrates that care every day. It does not matter what role a staff member does, if they see a resident needing help, there is no hesitation and they assist them. They have excellent leadership at the helm, and that was especially highlighted by the recent Covid-19 outbreak, which every single member of staff from the very top downwards, together with worked tirelessly to keep the residents safe. Mum could not have been in a safer environment than this home, and she always receives exemplary care. As soon as the home went into lockdown, they organised tablet/laptop so that we could Skype. 'Through the looking glass' visits were also made available where you could visit, but it was through a patio door.
Fantastic staff and lovely care home. Thank you to you all for looking after our mum so well Really appreciate everything you do. Thank you for the incredible care and lovely atmosphere. Such a big relief to all the family that mum is looked after so well.
My mother's move to Aston Hall Residential Care Home came at the same time as lockdown, which added extra pressure on the move. Have found the owners, management and staff to be nothing but helpful at this difficult time for all. My feeling is that my Mother is safe and secure at Aston Hall.
I found the home very spacious and the management and staff are very caring and friendly. Good choice of food and a lovely dining room and setting. When the weather is fine the home has a wonderful outside setting, feels like you are in the middle of the countryside. I could not fault it only that my sister requires more one to one care. I would have loved to have it as her home.
When we were looking for a suitable place for my mother-in-law, it was with apprehension and mixed feelings. Aston Hall have given fantastic support and made her feel very welcome and comfortable. Her room is lovely and she has made really good friends both neighbours and staff. If you said she could go back home, she would be disappointed. She is very happy.
Home is clean and tidy. My relative is well cared for and food is good. However, the lack of entertainment and activities is a big issue. The resident's mental welfare is neglected.
I was in this home for seven weeks respite after an operation and ten weeks in hospital. The manager and carers were so kind to me and after a couple of weeks, they left me to myself quite a lot but always there if needed. I am now in my own apartment and looking after myself with help from my family.
After viewing all the Care Homes in our area, I found Aston Hall. I knew Mum would love it there, which she does. It is in a beautiful location with all rooms having great views. Mum is very happy in her new home and has settled in so well, which is great for me to see as I know that she is now safe and is being cared for 24/7. She loves the company and has made new friends and all the staff take great care with not only her but with all their residents. She has chosen what she wanted to take with her from her house and the Management has no problem in her furnishing her room with all her bits and pieces. She has a table and chair which she loves to use, flower pots and bird tables right outside her door. She watches the frequent visitors of squirrels, rabbits and birds. I hope Aston Hall continues to thrive as to know Mum is happy there is a great comfort to me.
Needed urgent help with resident which was provided by Aston Hall staff on 24th April in an extremely caring and patient manner, followed by support to our family in our really hours of need. All visits and queries to staff are very pleasant.
My mum is extremely happy here which obviously makes me happy. She is settled, well cared for by staff who are helpful, professional and understand my mum's needs. Rooms are clean, bed linen is changed regularly and the views are spectacular. They have allowed mum to put a bird table outside my mum's room and she loves feeding them and sits for hours watching them. I would definitely recommend this care home, all staff are lovely, caring and understanding.
