View Full Details of Cartrefle Residential Home (Conwy)My husband, who was diagnosed with dementia, had spent 7 months in the care of Cartrefle Care Home, Llanrwst. During that time he received amazing care and so much love from the staff of the home. They were like a family and treated him as a member of their family. I can't thank them enough for all their care and concern for my precious husband and for the extreme kindness shown to me as well during this most difficult of times. The manager and staff went far beyond their duty of care in making the last days of my husband's life feel meaningful and loved. He died in September.
Always a warm welcome. Staff are lovely. Nothing is too much trouble. Very clean throughout. Meals smell delicious from the kitchen, homemade cakes are a lovely touch. Mum is very happy at Cartrefle Residential Home. As a family, we feel she has improved since being there, which we didn't think was possible. We feel she is safe and very well looked after. Thank you to all the staff for easing our minds. You are all stars.
The staff are always polite and helpful and put the residents first at all times. Very happy atmosphere.
My mother has been at Cartrefle Residential Home for about five years suffering with dementia. She still has a smile on her face when I visit, that is down to the care she gets from the staff which I feel a more like friends. It is always clean and tidy and mum is always looking clean and well dressed. The food is top class. They even made mum a homemade birthday cake for her 90th. I could not wish for a better home or care for mum and I look forward to visiting. Thank you from my heart.
No lounge when visiting. I feel music should be played in the day. Staff are brilliant and welcoming. My husband is always very clean.
Extremely pleased with everything in Cartrefle Residential Home. I am the brother of a resident's son-in-law. Staff are wonderful, friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Staff working under extreme circumstances due to staff shortage. An activities coordinator needs to be appointed.
Staff have been pushed to limits because of staff shortages and because of the pandemic. It has not been easy for them to keep all visitors and residents happy. Things have now become a bit easier for visitors. The manager is extremely approachable and helpful.
Nothing but praise for all the staff who look after my 97-year-old Dad. Nothing is too much trouble. The care home is so clean. Dad's laundry is immaculate. Food always smells lovely when cooking and Dad seems to enjoy everything given to him to eat and drink. Staff have done a wonderful job throughout Covid and considering they are so short-staffed. Thank you.
Whenever we visit, the staff are very obliging and helpful.
Thanks to the staff my husband is well cared for and I know he is safe. The permanent staff work very hard but have to work with agency staff. I wish the door in my husband's room could be clear glass so that he could have a window in his room, but otherwise, I'm pleased that my husband is at Cartrefle to be cared for and not at any other home.
Very caring staff. Lovely home. Clean bathrooms. Staff listen to any concerns. They have done their best during the COVID crisis, could have done better with some input from the government, like a proper room for us to visit.
We chose Cartrefle because of the warmth and care shown by staff to residents when we first visited. The last few months of seeing dad's health deteriorating have been extremely difficult for us. However. the care dad receives at Cartrefle is exemplary, staff really get to know each resident individually and care for them with such dignity. There's always plenty going on but also a balance of quiet times. The activities coordinator is excellent and often the home becomes alive with various entertainment, quizzes, birthday celebrations and activities. I never thought I'd be joining in and having such fun. Food is home-cooked which dad often praises and is plentiful. Dad's even tried new things, with the cook bringing a small sample for him to try first. I've had the pleasure of tasting the cook's home-baked, fantastically decorated cakes. We can't thank the managers and all the staff (carers, cooks, cleaning/laundry) at Cartrefle enough. Thank you so much.
When I had the news that Mam had dementia and needed to go into a home within a week, it was like being hit by a truck. We went to see about four homes and each time came out, felt sad, felt guilt etc and did not want my Mam to go into any of them. However, visited Cartrefle and instantly felt "this is it, I like this one". Never seen and felt staff so caring towards each resident. The welcome and information we get every time we visit is way above the standards expected. My Mam now is better, always clean and dressed in matching clothes, which makes me happier. Thank you all.
The staff are very caring and respectful to all residents. They are careful to maintain dignity at all times. The food is plentiful, nourishing and well presented. I am reassured that all residents are safe and cannot leave the premises.
I have experienced 2 other homes before Cartefle Residential Home and neither compares to the level of care and respect my mother receives here. The management and staff are second to none and my mother and I are very happy with Cartefle Residential Home. The care plan review process is excellent.
Cartrefle is a nice and peaceful residency. The staff are very good and professional.
Mum is in a home many miles from me but I have "peace of mind" that she is being cared for, is safe, clean, with friendly staff who understand her and her needs and keep me informed.
This home gives residents and their families excellent care. My friend, who I have Power of Attorney for, received excellent care and is in better health. The staff are lovely people and show care to the residents.
Following a road accident, my recently diagnosed with dementia, husband, was admitted to the home. The prompt, efficient and caring attitude of the staff prevented a stressful situation from being much worse. The housekeeping and catering at the home were excellent but my overriding impression was of a happy and kind atmosphere that encouraged the residents to participate in the planned activities.
Very pleased with my mother's care here. Staff and management always very caring and welcoming.
