View Full Details of Fairhaven Care HomeI have been very happy with mum's stay the staff have been great as my mum had a stroke in January. She came here in April and they have helped her with her situation. I could not recommend them enough.
The staff are excellent in looking after my sister treating her like she is family.
My mother came to Fairhaven Care Home at a very difficult time for himself and family. She has been treated with kindness and care. She has adapted well both physically and mentally. We have as a visiting family also been treated with respect by the whole staff creating a family atmosphere. Thank you.
Fairhaven Care Home is the most comfortable care home and I am fortunate enough to be living in Fairhaven Care Home. I am 83 years old and I get the best care and I am grateful. Fairhaven Care Home is a warm welcoming care home, one could not find a better care home. A warm place.
Since my mum moved in she's never been happier, great atmosphere in there and the staff make you feel very welcome.
Since last year there has been an improvement. The staff and management have worked really hard in giving us all enterprise that we are really proud of and there is more to come! Now that we have a full time activities member we will be looking towards improving this side of things.
I moved into Fairhaven a few months ago and did not know what to expect. I found the staff to be kind and supportive, and the management very helpful. They sorted out my hearing after getting me appointments in the local surgery to remove grease which had accumulated over two years. I found out that I had hearing difficulties and I'm waiting for appointments for tests. I also started to walk after two years of not moving at all. The food is excellent and a good choice. I'm looking forward for the first time in many years.
I found this home a caring place with helpful staff, they look after mum very well. They normally inform me if anything happens but a couple of times this hasn't been so, whether it was because of new staff or not a severe situation which I understand. Hopefully, if it were severe, I would be informed quickly and fully. Recent renovations have been needed and have brightened up the home, though there are still more that are needed and I hope to see these sorted soon - as mentioned, they are due to be done.
I was well impressed with the caring staff and the warm atmosphere in the home during my visit. I feel at ease knowing my family are well taken care of. Thank you.
My dad is very happy and receives a high standard of care. The staff are wonderful and couldn't do more.
It would be good if the residents could have a television in their own rooms. I live in Ireland so I don't get to see my dad very often so I rely on the staff giving me feed- back when I ring the home which they always do. When I ring they take the phone to dad so that we can have a chat.
My mother came to Fairhaven on an emergency placement for a few weeks as she was unable to manage on her own at home after a stay in hospital. The manager and her staff were always kind and caring towards my mother, encouraging her to become more independent and helping her to rebuild her confidence. She spent Christmas at Fairhaven and my brother was invited to join everyone for Christmas lunch which was very thoughtful and meant a great deal to Mum. Staff were always available to talk to family members and any concerns were swiftly sorted.
