View Full Details of Bryn IlltydMy uncle has been a resident at this care home for the last three weeks, due to a decline in his frailty and mental health, although this was a difficult decision to make. We, as a family, are pleased with the choice of Bryn Illtyd. It is a beautiful home, the staff are helpful, approachable, caring and show the residents' dignity and support. They are happy to answer any questions. The management is professional and compassionate to the needs of the client and their family. I have no negative issues to report.
I have visited Bryn Illtyd on several occasions to see my aunt. The staff are so friendly and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. It is evident that they truly care about their 'guests'. Everywhere is clean and staff are always on hand ensuring that everyone is safe and looked after. The food is good - everyone really enjoys. Bryn Illtyd offers great care to residents. The staff are amazing.
The care staff are always polite and happy and helpful, they work extremely hard but nothing is too much of a request for them. My one desire is that they ask my grandmother if there is anything that she requires doing more often. She has always done everything for herself and finds asking for help very difficult as she feels like a burden. The management is brilliant, everything I ask of them is delegated perfectly. Nanny is happy, safe and healthy, that's what I had always hoped for.
Excellent care, Mother is happy and contented. Food, rooms and care are superb. All staff are approachable, friendly and knowledgeable.
Mum was here for two weeks for respite care. Throughout her stay at Bryn Illtyd, she was treated with dignity and care. The staff was always available to chat with her and nothing was too much trouble. They were approachable whenever we visited and were very happy to answer questions about her care. The home has an excellent link to a local GP service and acted quickly to make sure she received the best medical help. Thank you very much to all the staff.
Care home staff are very helpful, very friendly, help you with anything.
Absolutely shocking care. Rang an ambulance and left my mother in a soiled condition for 11 hours. So bad the amazing staff at the hospital have raised safeguarding concerns. The family was not contacted and my mother passed away, she had pneumonia and sepsis. Treated disgracefully by the Manager of the home and to top it off my mother's wedding rings have been stolen. Please do not send anyone to this place should be shut down.
I feel my mother is well cared for. The staff are friendly and helpful whenever I have a question.
During the difficult covid times everyone at Bryn Illtyd has made mum's stay and adjustment really pleasant and caring. She is generally happy but is comforted when she gets agitated and upset. Everyone is attentive to her needs which is difficult as mum's communication skills have deteriorated. Thank you, everyone.
I am more than happy with the care and facilities that my husband is recieving. Staff and management are all very caring towards my husband, and myself when I visit him. I feel my husband is safe and in a happy environment.
My mother, who is bedridden, receives excellent care. All the staff I deal with treat both of us with respect and are tender and considerate. I can't thank them enough.
I can understand we are in a difficult time and the carers are working hard, naturally, when my mother first went into the care home her health was better. Now since the pandemic and since restricted visits have been allowed back I have noticed her deterioration, she needs more care now that her dementia has worsened and also her mobility. I was asked by the social worker if I had any concerns and I said I was concerned about her weight. She informed me that my mother had lost a considerable amount of weight in a short period of time. Now that it has been addressed I know it will take time to improve.
