View Full Details of East Park Care CentreAfter visiting viewing and comparing many care homes we found East Park. We could not believe our luck absolutely brilliant. As we were carers for Mum we had a good idea what Mum needed. Mum was really happy here, she made friends, joined in with the activities and likes going outside. Mum always looked well, treated with great care respect and dignity. We would like to thank a particular staff member and all staff members we will always be grateful to you. You are so professional, experienced and excellent the level of care is outstanding. There are no words to say how good the level of care is apart from exceptional.
I don't normally leave reviews, but I was very impressed with East Park Care Home. The staff were outstanding and couldn't do enough for my mother and even ourselves, the staff were genuinely caring. A warm atmosphere and a very welcoming. My mother was happy and the care was outstanding, plenty of activities, also the day trip's fantastic. I would recommend East Park to anyone seeking a caring environment for their loved ones.
My mother has been at East Park Care Centre for almost a year and it has been a blessing. She had lived independently but suddenly needed full-time care. It was upsetting for her but she settled very quickly due to the care and compassion from all the staff. She is treated as an individual and shows great respect, patience and understanding. The staff go to great lengths to make her happy. Whether they are cooks, cleaners, carers, or managers, they really look after her in every way. The Centre is run very professionally and I am included in all matters relating to my mother. Her needs have changed and the staff have adapted perfectly. She is a proud woman and they have always respected her wishes and maintained her dignity. I visit a few times a week without notice. I am always welcome and updated on everything. I have also got to know other residents during the year and there is always a happy relaxed atmosphere. The recreational activities are amazing and the facilities are lovely.
East Park Care Centre is an amazing facility. All staff are exceptionally caring and very professional. My aunt loves the Care Home and is extremely happy there. Nothing is too much for the staff at the home and my wife and I and any other visitors we meet think ourselves lucky that our loved ones are residents of this wonderful home.
My grandmother had an ileostomy bag, and as her eyesight declined, managing it on her own became difficult. The staff at East Park ensured that it was always properly maintained. In the five years she spent with them, not once was she left with sores or soiled clothing. Their attentiveness and professionalism gave us peace of mind. The staff truly went beyond what is expected. Her room was always spotless, with fresh bedding and clean clothes provided regularly. If she didn't enjoy a particular meal, they offered her alternatives without hesitation. What made the care so special was the personal touch. When my grandmother's health began to decline earlier this year, the staff kept us updated at every stage. They followed her end-of-life care plan precisely, ensuring that she passed away peacefully and with the dignity everyone deserves. As a family, we will be forever grateful for the care, compassion, and kindness she was shown throughout her time at East Park.
My nan was a resident at East Park Care Home for the last years of her life where she was very happy. It was such a comfort and relief not only to see Nan settled and happy at East Park but for her to refer to it as her home and she would not wish to be any other place. It is all any family could wish for. The care which Nan received during this time was exemplary. The staff at East Park cared for Nan with compassion, empathy and dignity. Nan developed trusting relationships with all members of staff. She was regularly asked for her views and opinions which were taken into consideration and acted on. We as a family, as was Nan, were consistently involved in all aspects of her care. Any concerns or worries regarding Nan's health and well-being were always communicated with us in a timely manner. Nan peacefully died at East Park with the dignity she deserved. The dedication, commitment and hard work of all the staff were always evident.
Nobody likes to see a loved one go into a Care home, but sometimes it is out of your hands. When mother went to East Park, I visited her. The family thought it looked nice from the outside. Mother was put into a small single room, with no view but walls. She was very upset, depressed and frightened each time I visited. She wanted to die and said there was no point in complaining. She mentioned a man entering her room every night and that things were going missing. Due to the family's concern, a secret recording device was hidden in her room. On leaving her one day, it was noticed a male resident hovering by her room and he was wearing a Tag on his ankle, this was most worrying! After a few days and listening to the recorder, it was discovered that there were disturbing things heard between mother and the night staff. We contacted Pembs Safeguarding team, the police, CIW. Social Services with copies of all of the recordings. Nothing has been done by the authorities. We the family removed mother for her safety.
