View Full Details of Baltimore HouseMy mum has been a resident at the home for over 2 years. She was admitted as a result of her advanced Alzheimer's and my sister and I were so worried about her moving into a home. However, the staff were so welcoming and understanding and we couldn't be happier with the level of care and attention that mum receives. The staff at Baltimore made a very stressful situation much easier to deal with and mum now views Baltimore as her home and place of happiness. The staff always keep us informed of any issues immediately and we are encouraged to call in or telephone anytime that we feel we need reassurance or just an update. There are always plenty of activities throughout the week and mum is encouraged to join in. She especially benefits from the musical activities as she loves singing and dancing. The staff are always kind, caring and compassionate. I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Baltimore House.
My 96-year-old Mum was admitted as an emergency to Baltimore House in March 2020 from hospital. She had until then been cared for at home by family due to her dementia but other medical issues meant we were unable to ensure her safety at home. We feel that Baltimore House is a very caring environment. Despite Covid, the staff rose to the challenges, and Mum settled in quite quickly with the help of this very loving and caring staff. Mum has made friends and is content in her new home. We are made aware of any worries about her health and the steps they are taking and we visit as much as we can within the guidelines and are made very welcome. The staff are extremely fond of her and it shows. The Manager is very approachable and we feel comfortable in discussing any issues we have with him and that he listens and understands. We have no problem in recommending Baltimore House and appreciate their hard work and their loving care to our dearly loved Mum.
Where do I start? My Mum was sent to Baltimore House before the first lockdown. Mum was welcomed into the home with compassion and affection. The staff are absolutely wonderful. So kind-hearted and did everything they could to make her feel at home and safe. She is very happy in the home which is what we wanted for her. They have been wonderful during the pandemic and we have always felt that she was safe. I can't recommend Baltimore House enough. The manager and the girls go above and beyond the call of duty. Thank you all so much.
My aunt has been a resident in Baltimore House for 18 months and is very happy there. COVID-19 has created many challenges for the staff but they have coped remarkably well and kept residents safe and healthy.
Mum has advanced dementia and life-long Insulin dependant diabetes. The care she has received in the last 10 months has been exemplary. She appears happy and well cared for during this difficult time with access restrictions due to COVID- 19. Both the management and carers seem to go the extra mile to ensure residents receive the best care and attention possible. Well done *****!
This is a wonderful establishment with excellent facilities, cleanliness and above all loving care for residents. My mother is now 99 years old and has been a resident at Baltimore House for the past 3-4 years. Her 99th birthday was celebrated by the staff with cakes, banners, balloons and make-up, making my mum feel like a movie star. Thank you, Baltimore House for your outstanding care.
My mother was a resident at Baltimore House for fifteen months after being diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and deemed unsafe to be supported in her own home. During that time, she was kept safe, well looked after and treated with dignity. Her behaviour, at times, was challenging and the staff responded professionally and liaised with the appropriate outside agencies when her needs changed. The home is well managed and regularly seeks the views of relatives.
My mother has been a resident here for 9-years, and she is well fed and looked after. The home is very clean. I've never had any concerns about her care. The home is very secure, and the staff are friendly and professional. Couldn't be happier!
My 91-year-old mother was given an emergency place at Baltimore House, during lockdown in April 2020, due to her increasingly severe dementia leading to her becoming unsafe in her home. Obviously, at that time we were unable to visit the care home but we're very grateful to the manager agreeing to accept her where others were not prepared to. The initial relief that my mother was safe was huge and it very quickly became apparent that her physical care and needs, as well as the strategies put into place for Covid-19 safety, were being extremely well met. Communication between staff and myself have provided an important link. In terms of my mother s emotional well-being, we are happy to know that such a caring staff look after her, know her well, and have a genuine affection for both my mother and, I am sure, all of the residents. It was great to be able to meet some of the staff during subsequent visits.
My Father has been at Baltimore House since April 2017. it took him a few weeks to settle in, and now he feels at home. The care is exemplary, the home has recently had a new manager and he is a very hands-on person. You can tell that he has previously Managed a care home. He is extremely approachable, as are all the staff. There is a real feeling of care at Baltimore House, I am so pleased that given a number of options we chose this one. The staff are constantly laughing and joking with the residents, if ever I needed to go into a care home I would really hope it had the same environment and the same Ethos as Baltimore house. Congratulations to every member of staff, right down to the Gardener, for the way you care for my father and all the other residents. You really could not do any more than you are currently doing to ensure every resident is as happy as they could be given that the vast majority suffer from quite severe memory issues.
