View Full Details of Bethany Residential HomeThe staff are fantastic and make the care home feel like home for my father. The rooms are very nice and he really enjoys all the food plus the tea and biscuits. There are plenty of activities to keep my dad busy and healthy.
Had to make the difficult decision to get mum into a care home, Bethany Residential Home was recommended by a number of care professionals and the last inspection was very good. A placement became available at the beginning of December so met with the manager, with mum, was shown around which had a lovely homely feel, staff very welcoming couldn't be more accommodating even decorated Mum's room before she moved in. We visit regularly and always get a warm welcome and feel we have become part of the family even attended in home activities. Mum likes her new home and is safe and cared for. Peace of mind for us, thank you all at Bethany.
Dad has been at Bethany Residential Home for nearly 12 months now and the change in him is amazing. He is stimulated daily with organised daily activities, which he loves to get involved with which lifts his mood. The management are very approachable and always get back to you in a timely manner to discuss things. They constantly assess the residents and are always looking for ways to improve their quality of life. The level of care is second to none. There are always carers around to chat to him. The health care he gets is amazing, as soon as the carers feel something is not quite right they act on it straight away. The home is very clean and tidy and the rooms are spotlessly clean. The staff work tirelessly to make sure every resident is cared for and individual needs are met. Dad mentioned he likes a non-alcoholic beer from time to time and the home went out and got some for him, which made him very happy. I highly recommend this care home to anyone who is looking for residential care for a loved one.
My mum has been asked to leave Bethany. This has left me with an enormous problem as Bethany was a 5 minute drive for me and now I have to travel about 40 minutes each way to see her. I have a husband with dementia so this has had an heavy toll as well as upsetting. The staff were unable to cope with my mum's state of mind. She doesn't have dementia and has full understanding of everything that is said. She hasn't lost her her hearing and has no other medical issues other than a demanding personality which has been exaggerated by the recent stroke. We found that they weren't very kind to her and often had snide remarks. I can understand that she was difficult and so the staff were struggling to cope but I do feel that the staff ganged up on her and requested her removal. I think with a little more understanding and laying out of some ground rules to my mum this situation could have been avoided. This has left a nasty taste and so I'm afraid I cant recommend this home. Sorry
My mum has been a resident at Bethany for more than 2 years and she is very happy there. The staff are amazing. They are kind, friendly and understanding. I like how they want to know more about Mum and us, her family and I like how they keep us informed if there are any concerns about Mum's well-being. The cleanliness of Bethany is first class. The communal room is lovely and bright with plenty of seating and different areas for the residents to be able to relax. It is lovely to see the residents interacting with one another. Prior to moving into Bethany Mum lived alone in a big house and she definitely missed seeing people. I am so happy that she is in this wonderful care home where she is well looked after, safe and happy.
Lovely care home with caring friendly staff. Management always approachable and available. Staff are reliable and some have worked there for a number of years so care is consistent to residents. Feels like a home from home.
When the day arrives to entrust the care of your mother to residential care you are naturally concerned if you have made the right decision. I can honestly say that introducing Mum to Bethany was the best decision we could have made. Mum’s physical, mental and general wellbeing have improved dramatically in the first three months of her being there, resulting in a positive knock on effect for us knowing that she is safe and so well cared for. Care staff are wonderful, always friendly and upbeat. Management and nursing staff excel by keeping us updated with health test results and medication reviews. This is a family-run and managed home, meaning that decisions are made and actioned without red tape and delays which sets an exemplary pathway that corporate establishments are unable to follow. The level of love and interaction from the staff and owners is beyond our expectations and I cannot thank them enough. A heartfelt thank you to all who make Bethany such a special place.
The manager and assistant manager have always been approachable, caring and understanding. They, and their team, have supported Mum with all her daily needs, wants and requirements. They also find time to help me as Mum's main family support. The home has the homely feel, not clinical as some other homes can feel. They have their own maintenance team on site so issues are resolved in good time, which is reassuring, plus they keep the overall appearance to a good standard. Mum has settled into Bethany far quicker than expected. They have encouraged her to take part in activities and have given her a better quality of life that was lost through and after COVID. Bethany Residential Home is a little gem and at a more affordable price than many other care homes. So we have a lot to be grateful for, long may it continue.
My mum has been here for two years. The level of care and attention has been phenomenal. The manager and the team show great respect to the residents. Plenty of activities. Sometimes feel that the home could do with more staff.
Staff are excellent, nothing is ever any trouble for them. My mother-in-law is very happy at Bethany. She has been very well looked after since she arrived and getting stronger every day, as quite frail when arrived. Enjoys the church service on a Sunday.
