View Full Details of Meddyg Care Dementia Homes - CricciethHaving been devastated that my husband needed to enter a dementia home I have been reassured by his evident wellbeing. His needs are met by professional carers in a way I would not. I am welcome at any time of day. Given the difficulties of his mental confusion at times he is mostly content + happy in himself. His periods of severe agitation are met with care, patience and kindness.
The care home is very friendly and staff are very caring and supportive of residents and residents' families. The care home is very welcoming and friendly, nothing is too much trouble. My dad has excellent care from all the staff as all members of staff from management to domestic are friendly. They have an excellent activities person who finds activities for all residents. I would have scored facilities higher if the lift was in working order. I know my dad is having excellent care and I am kept in the loop if required.
My experience with this care home has been excellent from the onset and I cannot find words to express my thanks and admiration of the staff and facilities provided for dementia patients.
We could not have had better care for my husband. We were always welcomed when we visited, and the staff were always happy to answer any questions regarding care. We would like to thank everyone for the care and support they gave not only to my husband but to my daughter and myself.
Excellent care and great communication. My father was previously resident in another care home and Meddyg Care Criccieth has been a much better experience. The staff are lovely and always keep me informed of any issues.
My stepmother has been a resident for four years. Unfortunately, she is a very challenging and difficult person with difficult and uncooperative behaviour. I have found the staff and management always very understanding and considerate and nothing seems to be too much trouble with her care needs. I am always kept fully informed of treatment and problems.
The home is always welcoming. Residents are well cared for, always tidy and well-dressed. Lots of activities for residents and staff.
The staff have always been supportive and professional, accommodating my mother's needs and that of her family where possible. Making themselves available to explain and answer all questions when they arose. The home was a cheerful and relaxed atmosphere whilst running efficiently.
I am so happy with my dad's care. The home is lovely and welcoming, the staff are kind and brilliant at bringing out the best in dad and I feel he is treated with dignity and respect. I am made to feel very welcome here too. Thank you so much to the whole team, you are very much appreciated.
I would like to add on a personal note, our gratitude as a family for the wonderful care my Mother is receiving at Meddyg Care. It has been a difficult decision to make, to ask for help with mum, but are relieved to see the high standard of care she gets, and we know, she is safe and well looked after. All the staff are so helpful and pleasant when we visit. We see that she always looks in good health and appearance which puts our mind at rest, you were there at our hour of need. We like the update emails showing us what our loved ones have been doing such as she was taken to the local chapel to see the children take part in the Thanksgiving service. She was heavily involved in such things before her illness and was lovely to see her happy in the photographs you sent. Thank you
This is the best care home we have seen. My sister and husband have improved considerably since they have been here. All the staff are exceptionally friendly too and respectful of the residents.
The staff are helpful and caring. My husband is well looked after, but I can't really comment on much else whilst we are prevented from visiting inside.
Over the past few years, I have seen an excellent improvement in the care staffing. During the lockdown, I have been kept informed at all levels. I have seen a vast improvement in my mother in the last 12 months, last February she was receiving palliative care and it seems the care and understanding she has received in the pines is truly remarkable. She's gained weight and looks clean at all times and much happier in herself. She's gained her mobility and at this time last year, I didn't think she'd survive more than a few months.
My husband has been a resident at Meddyg Care Criccieth for the past 4 years. During this period, I have been very satisfied with the care he has received. The last months have been very difficult for care homes, but due to the highly professional manager and the nursing and care staff, my husband has been very well looked after medically and also treated with kindness, compassion and dignity. He enjoys the wide range of activities provided and I’m able to view these activities on the website and on Instagram. The addition of the viewing pod has been a very significant benefit for families and residents. As a family, we’re all very grateful to the staff at Meddyg Care Criccieth.
My wife has been a resident for two and a half years she suffers from Alzheimer, I have only visited twice since the lock down and then for distanced visiting. Her condition makes it very difficult but I can only praise the staff and management for the way they have looked after the residents in this difficult time. I have carried out regular video calls and have been kept up to date with her condition and needs.
My husband has been a resident of The Pines care home for over four years and during all that time his care has been excellent. The home is bright, cheerful and well maintained. My husband has all the relevant equipment for his health, safety and well being. His room is suitable for his needs and we are able add personal things such as pictures and family photographs to make it more familiar to him. All of the staff at the home are highly professional and all aspects of the care he receives is first class. They are helpful, caring and kind not only to my husband but to myself and all family members. The past year has been particularly difficult for us all but especially for care homes and I am enormously grateful for the care and hard work that has meant that my husband and all the residents have been kept safe. I am able to ring daily and when visiting was possible it was always in a safe and socially distanced way. My thanks to you all.
Obviously during these strange times and the confusion that government and local councils have orchestrated! it was wonderful to converse with a care home manager that had our interests at heart. It was even more wonderful to arrive for our visit which was to be through my father's bedroom window, to find they they had put my father in a chair and we met at the fire exit. It was almost normal. Thank you.
My husband became a resident in December 2017. It was a difficult time for both of us but the kindness and consideration to both of us made the transition easier. The care, empathy, attention and genuine dedication of the staff is amazing. I visit often, virtually every day and sometimes my husband is asleep, so I sit, hold his hand and observe. I see genuine care, it is so comforting for me to know that this is how it is. I can only have good words to say about The Pines. My darling husband has to be there, I can’t change that but although it has been a difficult time for me to adjust to, I feel he is settled, enjoys a good relationship with the staff and I can’t ask for more. Thank you.
