View Full Details of Bryn y MorFood still inadequate, one fish finger for lunch today (9th September). Men wandering the corridor still opening the door and sometimes coming in and frightening her. She sees no one apart from when they bring food and drink, unless she buzzes but then she has opted to stay in her room. She was recently poorly and antibiotics didn't seem to be working and she felt no one was listening to her. She worried that there was not a qualified nurse onsite so felt unsafe. When I take her food, she seems to think people (who?) take it, I don't know if this is the case or not. Staff seem lovely.
The staff at the care home are great but there's simply not enough employed to run the operation effectively. There are times when residents walk into other people's rooms, which is not good. Consequently, this has resulted in property going missing. I'm always made to feel welcomed when I visit my mother and this is truly very much appreciated. It's such a shame that there's not enough staff employed, as the staff work really hard to try and cover the shortfalls. I would like to express my gratitude and thanks to all at the care home.
My mum has been there for eighteen months now and they treat her very well. She always seems very comfortable and I am happy to know that she is safe and well looked after. The manager keeps us updated and is very helpful.
My mother is very happy at Bryn y Mor and is always clean and smartly dressed at all times. When I visit my mother, the carers are always pleasant and helpful! The manager has always been there for us if we have any concerns.
I am extremely happy with the care Mum is receiving at the care home, staff are very helpful at all times and the food is also very good. Mum's room is always clean and tidy when I visit and Mum is always smartly dressed.
Bryn Y Mor is a lovely care home. Residents are well cared for and staff are warm and kind. It's set in a beautiful location and is clean and well-maintained. There are some extra activities like fitness classes. The manager responds quickly to emails and is helpful. Mum has a lovely room with en-suite.
My sister is happy at the care home and eating a lot better and always clean. Only negative thing is she is not always wearing her own clothes in her wardrobe. The staff are always friendly and helpful. I think some of the residents should go sit in the sun and get fresh air.
My friend, who suffers from cognitive deficiency and gradual dementia, has been at Bryn y Mor for almost two years now. As I visit my friend regularly, I can wholeheartedly say that the management and the staff should be very proud of their consistent and very high standards. The staff have endless patience, are very caring and respectful and have a sense of humour, keeping a happy atmosphere in the place - I could not fault them. The home is always clean and fresh and of course, is situated in a very beautiful part of the island with outstanding views. Having visited other homes initially, there was no contest - Bryn y Mor was our first choice and I'm so grateful that a room had become available at the time.
Lovely place with amazing views. Always clean and tidy, Mum seems settled here (Alzheimer's), beds are changed regularly, washing done daily. Very happy to have Mum closer to me now. Staff are always very pleasant and helpful, nothing is too much bother for them. My only minor issue is no landlines to individual rooms, Mum has a mobile but is always fiddling with it and turning if off (the staff are good about turning it back on!)
My father has been a resident for approximately eighteen months and during that time, the staff and care they deliver have been excellent. I call and see him when I can and he has always seemed happy there.
This is a lovely place with very good staff. Mum in law is 82 & has dementia, she is happy here & is well looked after, always clean & tidy, hair & nails done regularly. The staff banter with her which is what she likes, but I have also seen them with other residents & they are all treated well & with respect. They have regular entertainment here & the odd day out, they have a trip to Pringles coming up in August. They keep us informed when Mum in law is not well & have the doctor out to visit if necessary. As a family we are happy with the care received & would highly recommend Bryn Y Mor.
