View Full Details of Brynhyfryd Care HomeMy brother is happy so we are happy.
Mum us staying at Brynhyfryd Care Home whilst recovering from a stroke. She is very happy and well supported by staff whom are very patient and encouraging of her needs. I feel that Mum's wishes are listened to and she is treated with dignity.
Each and every member of staff we have had an encounter with has been really helpful and friendly. Mum is treated with the utmost respect and dignity.
Friendly staff; although there may be some staff turnover which may bewilder residents easily confused, we have found everyone to be friendly and gentle towards my mother. We cannot comment on activities as my mother refuses to take part, unfortunately, she doesn't want to enjoy the newly created garden either. My mother would probably enjoy more traditional, homely cooking than that provided but there is enough provided through the day. Summary, we have no concern and enjoy coming to Brynhyfryd Care Home.
Very pleasant. Staff are always friendly and very welcoming.
Each time I visit, I am greeted with a smile. My husband is here for six weeks respite. He is treated with dignity and although he would prefer to be at home, I know he is being well cared for and has the appropriate medical and social care that he needs.
Very good care home and the care and safety are very good.
Lovely home. Staff are always obliging and helpful. Nan always seems happy.
This film crew who were at the care home last week witnessed a very different care home that currently exists. The staff are great but there are too few of them, and so many are leaving as they cannot cope. The staffing ratios may be legal but they are not sufficient to run a 'caring' home - having to wait 30/40 minutes to go to the toilet is not acceptable and neither is having eggs and chips every Saturday lunchtime as an option. The home is warm, clean, well-maintained but is understaffed and this needs addressing urgently.
I visit about once a month (two years now). Always welcomed and find the care home friendly and clearly well administered.
The staff have always provided excellent care to my aunt. They always contact me if there is a change in her condition or need to see a doctor or district nurse. When well enough, they always get my aunt out of bed and take her to the restaurant for her meals. They encourage to interact with the other service users, but are always understanding when she isn't well. I would recommend Brynhyfryd to anyone looking for care.
Mum is supported and cared for in her needs. She takes part in craft activities, which keeps her active and enjoys her little chats with her fellow residents. The staff are encouraging her to be involved in activities. She is very good at making pompoms, which helps to exercise her hands and helps her concentration. Mum loves the moving, fluffy dog, of course from a form she always cared for animals.
Brynhyfryd Care Home is a friendly place to be in. My mum seems to be happy and content here. All staff see to her needs and are all willing to help and care for her. At Christmas, a lot of work had gone into activities arranged for the residents, which I am sure they all enjoyed. Lots of other activities are arranged throughout the year. Excellent!
Every time I visit my mother-in-law at Brynhyfryd, I'm made so welcome. The staff are wonderful and so welcoming. We know my mother-in-law isn't just looked after, but cherished and it's so reassuring. Allowing our dogs in is a huge bonus, it helps my mother-in-law immensely. Thank you.
Mum is looked after very well. She has settled in very quickly with the help of the care she is getting.
Mum always seems very happy and cleanliness is very good.
