View Full Details of Cartref Dyfi Care HomeWe visit on a regular basis. Staff are always very welcoming. My father speaks very highly of the care he is given and also that the food is very good. The home is spotlessly clean and smells lovely when you enter, not like some of the homes I have visited over the years.
I am a long-standing friend of a resident at Cartref Dyfi Care Home and have known him and his son and late wife for more than 50 years. My friend came to the area as a teacher in the local high school and later became the deputy head teacher. During the past 3 years, during his time at Cartref Dyfi, I have aimed to visit him at the home every Wednesday. I always receive a warm welcome and note how clean and friendly the whole place is maintained. My friend is clearly very happy and feels safe. Appreciates the high standard of the care he received. Thank you Cartref Dyfi.
My father with dementia was transferred here after nearly two months in hospital. While the place was small, he was extremely well looked after and even now, he calls it "home". I was welcomed each time I visited from Spain. The home was clean and had an air of happiness and calm about it. The staff were all exceptional and made dad feel comfortable and welcome.
Can't find any faults. Staff are always pleasant. Home always clean. Always warm - and they treat everybody the same. Residents are always looking clean and tidy. Home from Home.
First visit to the home where my aunt is a resident. Very impressed, greeted warmly, and offered use of the bathroom and a cup of tea which was very welcome after a long journey. Escorted to her private room which was clean and comfortable, and not rushed or disturbed during the visit. A nice homely feel in and around the building and the staff presented as very happy and willing. Thank you.
It's always a pleasure visiting my Grandmother here especially knowing she is well cared for. The staff are always friendly and inviting. The cleanliness is always spot-on and the activities are well organised and inclusive for all including visitors.
My Mother has been in Cartref Dyfi since February 29th, 2024 and we can't praise the staff for the care she has had. Nothing is too much for them and whenever I visit, I'm greeted by a smile and addressed by name - such a personal touch. It's lovely to be able to come and visit throughout the day (apart from meal times) - knowing that my Mother is being cared for and is safe is a huge comfort to us all as a family.
My mother-in-law is a resident at Cartref Dyfi Care Home, it's marvellous for us as we can pop in any time of the day. The staff are always welcoming and polite and I know most of them through my school days and to the nature of my business in the town before I retired. My mother-in-law is happy at Cartref Dufi and made part of the home by the staff who work hard to make the residents comfortable.
As always when I was visiting my friend in Cartref Dyfi, I had a warm welcome by the staff. From the administrator greeting me at the entrance to a member of staff offering me a drink (which they always do without fail). We spoke in my friend's bedroom, where we like to have privacy. The bedroom is always clean and has personal belongings that help my friend remember the past which makes her smile. The food smells delicious - does not matter what day I visit. I am looking forward to seeing the cake at Christmas.
My grandmother has been in Cartref Dyfi Care Home for about 11 months and I cannot praise them enough. It is never easy for the family to move someone into a care home but Cartref Dyfi has made this transition with empathy, support and care. The staff are very welcoming, always polite. When my grandmother was ill a few weeks ago they were excellent, they made me feel supported and had the best interest of my grandmother at all times. The high number of local people and Welsh speakers make it a homely place. It is a small community and knowing local connections with the residents is invaluable.
Always a warm welcome from staff. My relative is very happy at the home. Tells me it's the best thing she did when she gave up her flat to move to Cartref Dyfi Care Home.
My mother has been a resident of Cartref Dyfi Care Home for four and a half years. The care within the home is excellent, my mother always looks clean and tidy and is very happy with the home. We, as relatives, are always treated with respect and there is a feeling of a happy environment. Food is excellent with cakes etc. being made to celebrate all events. Marvellous staff throughout.
My dad is very happy at Cartref Dyfi Care Home full of praise for the staff. We are happy that he's well cared for and that we can see him at any time.
When I visit my uncle, he always says that he is happy. The home is always clean and smells nice and fresh. When I visited last time, he was not there; he had gone out to the local market, which was nice to see. The staff are welcoming and are always able to answer any questions I have.
Dad is very satisfied with his care and is very happy living in Catref Dyfi. Some members of staff are exceptional; however, he has no issues with any of them. He is also pleased that we are able to visit at any time.
I am always made welcome by the manager and her staff. They are very friendly and ready to cooperate each time I visit. The residents are treated with great love and care. It's always a pleasure to visit Cartref Dyfi Care Home.
A lovely, friendly and caring home. The staff go way above their duty, nothing is too much trouble. My sister could have better care anywhere. If I had to go into a care home that is where I want to go.
My mother, aged 95, has been a resident at Cartref Dyfi Care Home since December 2019. The first thing she commented on was how good the food is there (always a good start). Then both she and I noticed that all of the staff, bar none, were exceptionally kind and patient. Throughout the Covid pandemic, despite staff shortages and a heavy workload, the atmosphere there remained cheerful and helpful. This care home has a long and unbroken reputation locally for the quality of its care service to the community. The staff and management there deserve to be justly proud of that record. My mother couldn't be cared for better!
The care my aunt receives is excellent. When she was taken poorly staff got in touch with us straight away to let us know the situation and kept us informed. This is a great comfort to us as we are sixty miles away. The care she receives from everyone is excellent. She is treated with such care and respect. The home is spotlessly clean - so nice to visit somewhere that doesn't smell. The food looks delicious. The staff are always welcoming and friendly. So pleased that Cartref Dyfi Care Home is my aunt's home now.
As ever, the care my great-aunt receives is excellent. She was taken poorly and staff phoned us straight away to let us know the situation and what was happening living over sixty miles away, this makes a huge difference. The care she receives from the staff is excellent. Everyone at the home treats her with respect and dignity. The home is spotlessly clean, the food is delicious and all the staff are welcoming and friendly - whether management or maintenance. Hooray for Cartref Dyfi Care Home.
