View Full Details of Dryfemount CareI would like to thank the Manager and all of her caring staff for the care and support given to my mother. Every time I walk in there I am greeted with a friendly smile and I always find my mother happy, cared for and comments about the lovely food and support that is given to her and her room is always spotlessly clean. The postings on social media and pictures of happy faces lights up my day knowing that they are not forgotten and busy doing amazing different things daily. Thank you and a very Happy New Year to you all.
My mother has been a resident at Dryfemount Care Home for just over a year as she has dementia. The facility itself is gorgeous and pristine with a lovely atmosphere and the setting surrounding it is beautiful. The gardens are pretty and the dining room and two sitting rooms are well appointed and the residents gather there all the time. As much as the lovely facilities are appreciated it is the care that my mother receives from all the staff that makes Dryfemount such a wonderful place. From the staff member at the front desk who is kind, helpful and so efficient, to the manager who manages the care home and goes above and beyond to ensure that all is going well for the residents and their families. The food is excellent and the activities are numerous and engaging. Every member of the lovely nursing team, who are simply brilliant with my mother, deserves a standing ovation for their patience and expertise. It is the best place for my mother in a challenging situation, simply wonderful.
Absolutely wonderful staff, couldn't care for my dad any better. My dad's health had deteriorated significantly following a long hospital stay yet the day he moved into Dryfemount was a turning point. He loves being in Dryfemount and it's made the past 6 weeks so much easier. Few people want to have their parents go into a care facility but there is none better than Dryfemount, absolutely home from home. Thanks a million.
Mum went into Dryfemount during covid, which was a very difficult time. The home however have gone above and beyond to ensure mum gets the visits that she needs from her family. We really couldn't ask for better, personalised care for mum. I would most definitely recommend Dryfemount to anyone looking for a home in the area. The home management team and all the staff are great. Thank you.
My mother is in Dryfemount and she loves being there. She regards the staff as her friends, but it would be unfair to single any one person out. As a care team, they go above and beyond in every way. Mum says it's amazing and she wishes she had gone in earlier. As a family member, I see flashes of her old character brought out by the ever-caring staff.
The staff and management of Dryfemount are without exception very pleasant and helpful. All of my contact since the summer of 2020 has been by telephone. I have been able to speak directly to my friend on the mobile provided by Dryfemount for that purpose, with the assistance of staff, as she is no longer able to manage her own mobile.
My Mum is a resident at Dryfemount Care and she has spent almost 18 months there. She has taken part in many activities and played the piano and sung. She is nearing lives end and the staff are so caring and loving. I live 140 miles away and I can honestly say that the staff at Dryfemount are true "family". They give amazing 24-hour care and they are generous with cuddles too. The team are respectful and treats residents with love and dignity.
I have been visiting Dryfemount for three years now and during that time I have seen a lot of effort going into making living in a care home as safe, active and comfortable as is possible. Each resident is treated as an individual and on occasion can make choices about activities they might like to undertake, what they can eat and where they want to spend time. Visitors are welcome to join in activities if suitable. Good atmosphere.
My mother has settled in very nicely since being admitted in February. All the staff are very helpful and polite. Nothing is too much bother. I would like to see more activities at weekends as this seems a very quiet time but overall activities are good.
Dryfemount provides a very caring environment for the residents. As far as I am aware the staff are always very helpful, cheerful and treat the residents with respect. It is more of a family environment home from home rather than an institution. Always a pleasure to visit.
Staff are always very welcoming. Nothing too much trouble. Residents are regularly kept occupied - craft days, trips out and much more. My sister's life has improved greatly since moving here all thanks to the great care she is receiving.
Friendly establishment has a good excellent range of activities, bright and accommodating staff. Encouraging residents to participate in and any questions asked and any issues raised always addressed can approach staff who are visibly hard working but take time with the residents/family.
My sister was always treated with great dignity and support. The activities that take place at the home are excellent. The staff are excellent and go the extra mile for the residents.
My mother has been a resident at Dryfemount Care for 9 months. During that time her mobility has improved greatly and she is much more confident. She enjoys living there, enjoying the friendly, family atmosphere and the many varied activities and outings on offer, which she joins in with enthusiastically. The care she received is excellent and all the staff seem to know all the residents well. All the rooms are clean, bright and residents can take small bits of furniture if they wish. Lounge areas have recently been redecorated.
There is a warm, homely feel on entering this care home. The staff treat each resident and their visitors with respect and dignity. A programme of refurbishing the home has started with the dining room, downstairs lounge, were residents were involved in the choice of colours etc. The daily activities organised by the Activities Coordinator is outstanding, with emphasis on each residents needs and wishes. Do not judge this home on care inspectorate scores, which are focused on paperwork completion.
My dad enjoyed his respite break and my mum also had time to herself. We were made very welcome by all members of staff, one, in particular. It was no problem to have dad's room changed round to make it easier for him to get to the toilet. We are happy that dad is having another break in December. Dad really enjoyed the singing. He always enjoys the food. Dad was well looked after and enjoyed having company. Many thanks to everyone and we look forward to seeing you in December.
Dryfemount truly is a CARE home. From the moment you enter the building you can sense a calm, caring atmosphere. There is always a member of staff available to greet you and help in any way. Everyone we have encountered is polite and clearly interested in the residents they look after. The range of activities arranged each day and week is amazing, providing opportunities for the residents to interact with one another plus staff and visitors. A board is on display in rooms informing family and visitors of the participation of individual residents. Feedback on events and trips is readily accessible by the local community plus via the internet (invaluable when you live 200 miles away from the home and your visits are limited). We are extremely grateful that we know my aunt is in a wonderful caring environment.
