My parents were recently admitted to Orchardhead House. They were fortunate to secure one of only two double rooms. The room had been completely refurbished and fitted out with nice furniture/lamps and bed linen prior to their arrival. The staff and management have been very welcoming, kind and helpful to both my parents from the minute they arrived. Orchardhead House was beautifully decorated for Xmas and had a lovely family home feel about it. It is nicely carpeted, tastefully decorated, with nice furnishings and is clean. The staff have all been lovely, caring, patient and respectful with my elderly parents who both have dementia. A variety of interesting activities are put on for the residents every morning and afternoon, which the care staff happily participate in with the residents. Orchardhead House has lovely gardens too which I am sure will be enjoyed by the residents once the weather warms up. I am very happy that we managed to place my parents into care at Orchardhead House and would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone.

The manager and the whole team at Orchard do an amazing job. The home is clean, beautifully decorated and feels homely rather than residential. The staff are excellent and caring. Dad's treated with care and respect. There is a good selection of activities and nice to see residents in the beautiful gardens when the weather is nice. I would highly recommend and like to thank all the staff team.

Mum moved into Orchardhead last December, her health has improved so much in the last year, after the death of my dad 18 months ago. She joins in with all activities and really enjoys the entertainment.

My mum and dad became residents at Orchardhead House in January 2022. Unfortunately, my dad passed away in January 2024. Prior to his passing, he received so much additional care due to his suffering with Dementia. He absolutely loved Orchardhead House, the food, the activities and the care and dignity the staff gave to him. My mum continues to stay at Orchardhead. She loves and participates in all the activities. Overall, having my mum stay here gives me peace of mind as I know she is well looked after by an excellent team of dedicated and attentive staff. The management keeps the resident's families informed of what is happening within the home with lots of photos and videos. They also give you updates regarding your family members' health and any other issues. I would recommend Orchardhead House to anyone looking for a care home for their loved ones.

My experience of Orchardhead House is excellent. My mother has been a resident for over two years now and has been extremely settled and content from the very beginning. The manager is very competent and always interested and informed of my mother's condition from day to day. The senior carers are very helpful and knowledgeable at all times. The carers are absolutely brilliant, and nothing seems too much trouble for them. My mother is always well-presented and well-cared for. The food is very good, and my mother often remarks on how she enjoys her meals. The activities programme is imaginative and varied.

My 98-year-old mother has been a resident at Orchardhead for the last 17 months, and my family and I have been delighted with the care and empathy shown by all of the staff at the home. Despite her initial reservations about moving there from her previous assisted living accommodation, she settled in straight away and immediately felt secure and happy with the continuous attention from the team, and the very full programme of events which ensures residents are kept active and engaged. Nothing appears to be too much trouble, and she directly benefits from the in-house hairdresser, along with visiting GP, optician and chiropody services. Although her short-term memory is getting worse, we have no fears about her future well-being at Orchardhead, and family members still take her out several times a week for outside visits or call to see her at the home where they are always made to feel welcome.

Our mum has only been a resident for two weeks so is still settling in and finding things a bit confusing and unsettling. This being the case the staff have been amazing and exceptionally attentive to her, reassuring her and encouraging her to get involved with other residents and the home activities. Their care, kindness and support of our mum has also reassured and alleviated the stress for my brother and me. From the first day, the staff made us feel welcome and that we mattered.

This establishment is run so professionally by a very happy team which creates a lovely warm and friendly atmosphere confirming your loved one is being well cared for. The home always has plenty of wonderful staff to assist with any queries or admin matters. The residents are all immaculately dressed and the whole building inside and out is exceptionally clean and well-maintained. You can sense the love and devotion given to all the residents making it feel like one big happy home.

The home staff have been very caring and understanding to both the needs of the residents and the family. The activities are varied and obviously enjoyed by the residents. I have recommended the home and will continue to do so.

Orchardhead House is always immaculate and the staff is excellent and caring. I feel my father could not be in a better place and it is a weight off my mind that I know should he need any assistance it is always going to be available.

My friend moved here recently and already, what a difference. I see that there is real compassion and empathy here. Residents are cared for with respect and dignity. The staff are amazing.

The facility is a superb example of caring for families as they grow older. The staff are absolutely fabulous and they bond very well with the residents and it's obvious that they have their best interests at heart. I would strongly recommend that if you are looking for somewhere for your family you can pick Orchardhead House Residential Care Home with total confidence.

Orchardhead House has been a fabulous choice for my mother. It has been a huge relief seeing my mother happy and contented due to the care and kindness of the staff and superb management. We pop in at any time and are welcomed and find my mother well-groomed and contented. She is obviously very fond of all the staff, and the activities programme keeps all the residents entertained.

I can’t thank enough the manager and staff of Orchardhead House on all the love, care and compassion they have shown to my mum. It’s been a difficult few days for my family. Mum has been gravely ill but the staff at Orchardhead House have been excellent. The care and compassion shown to both Mum and the family has been exceptional. We can’t praise the staff highly enough from the owner to the handyman for his warm, gentle, caring compassion shown to residents. Orchardhead House Care Home is exceptional with amazing staff who just love their residents.

One year in my brother is well settled in and feels at home. Staff are caring, considerate, patient and communicated well with residents and visitors. management keeps residents and families well informed of any required changes in practices due to covid. My brother enjoys the good food and appreciates the offer of a change in menu if what is offered is not suitable. My brother's room is bright, spacious and accommodates his own bed and chair and is clean and tidy. the only negative aspect is not the fault of the management - the lack of communication among male residents. however, the staff make every effort to involve my brother in conversation and banter.

We put our aunt in at the height of Covid around February 2021, where she had to isolate for 14 days. The staff made this a seamless exercise (for a difficult situation) as she had come from living on her own independently into a controlled lockdown situation. Over the last circa two years, we have been totally satisfied with the niche staff management of her needs, the activities to stimulate her and the dietary considerations. We have recommended this care home to many people as it is a one-off (which is the way care homes should be) as opposed to other options we could have chosen.

From the first moment, my sister and I walked into the care home, it felt homely and very welcoming. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The resident is very busy with numerous daily activities. I especially love the live entertainment. Residents up dancing and singing. I think they have a better social life than I do. My dad is very well cared for, and he is very happy living there.

Orchardhead House is an excellent care home. Residents are well looked after, and the staff are so caring and friendly. Lots of activities to keep residents entertained and varied. The home is fresh and lovely decorated. Mealtimes are like a restaurant and all home cooked. We are kept well informed of what my aunt is doing via photos. If ill, then they keep us informed. I have nothing but praise for this place.

As Mum's dementia progressed, the family realised that we could no longer keep her safe at home, and so the difficult decision was made to locate a suitable care home. I visited all the care homes in the area, and Orchardhead stood above all the others with its homely atmosphere, wonderful gardens, comfortable surroundings and the immense dementia knowledge and experience shown by the friendly caring staff. It was such a relief for the family when Mum was allocated a place, and we haven't looked back. The biggest barrier for her leaving home was going to be missing her cat (who went to live with her sister), but Orchardhead were brilliant in welcoming the cat on his weekly visits, making the transition so much easier. Mum has been a resident for six months now, and she is safe, comfortable and very well entertained. The family really couldn't be any happier with her care, and I would have no hesitation in recommending Orchardhead to others.

Orchardhead House provides an excellent service to its clients. The residents are well looked after, food and care are fabulous. The activities are organised on a weekly basis and are related to the seasons or celebrations, like the Coronation. It is a very clean home, and most importantly of all, they respect their clients and have fun with them.
