The staff have been exceptional with my sister. They have helped her settle in. Everyone is friendly and professional. They have also been a great help with me and answer any queries.

Mum is now very well settled in Scoonie House and thoroughly enjoys her time there. The friendly and welcoming atmosphere pervades throughout the whole establishment and is complimented by the friendly professional staff who cannot do enough for all residents. When we visit mum we are treated like family as is mum. Since moving into Scoonie House in April 2024, mum has come on leaps and bounds both physically and mentally, all credit to the care and attention granted to her. Christmas time has been a joy for mum with activities everyday and she is so looking forward to the big day. The staff have been amazing to make this happen.

Since my parents moved into Scoonie House at end of May. I have been happy with the care that they get. It's a lovely home with enough activities to suit everyone.

Both my parents moved to Scoonie Care Home at the end of August 2024. Both have very different needs, my dad is physically frail but still mentally very able. My mum has dementia and has no independent mobility. From the first time I took my dad to see the home he has been treated with dignity, respect, and kindness. From the managers to the seniors, carers, and domestic staff, everyone is friendly and caring. One of the things that stands out most to me though, is how inclusive the home is. My mum would be easy to ignore. They could leave her sitting watching the TV and she'd be ok. But they don't. They encourage her to join in activities, they make a point of speaking to her and include her in conversations, and they've even had her out for lunch. My dad loves the meals, and the trips to The Bistro when visitors come in - the home's own cafe area.

Our mother has been a resident for 17 months and has had a good experience with regard to care. The food is excellent and activities are frequently organised. Residents are often taken out for meals, and fundraising activities are well organised and attended. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

I am very happy that my friend is living in such a comfortable care home. My first impressions of the home made me feel that my friend could settle in very well. Coming from a quite large 2-bedroomed home to having her own bedroom with toilet was just what she needed. She was very fortunate that everything in her room was brand new. The home itself is clean and odour-free. She has been there for a few months now and appears to be content. The staff are friendly and recently I attended a relatives meeting which was very informative. My friend has been taken out a couple of times which is great and has benefitted from the hairdressing facility.

They are very warm and friendly. Nothing is any trouble for them. Room gets a daily clean, which is excellent. They do good activities and take the residents out on trips. My mum's life has improved a lot as she previously didn't have much of a social life. She now mixes with others and gets involved with events.

Mum settled in from day one of arriving. The care Mum gets is 10/10. Everyone is so friendly and caring. The building is clean and well-maintained. Mum's room is a home-from-home. Food is excellent and nice to have choices.

Sadly my mother passed away in Scoonie on 8th June 2024. I cannot thank the manager and her whole team enough for everything they did during the time my mum was with them, they all went above and beyond to make my mum's time enjoyable. My mum loved every one of the staff. She had a lovely room and everything she needed, and her passing was done with dignity and respect. I would highly recommend Scoonie to anyone. With all my thanks.

It was my first experience of living in a care home and I must say, what a very nice time I had. It was like a wee holiday for me and gave my daughter and son-in-law a wee break too. I would like to think, if I ever needed another break I could come back to Scoonie House. I would recommend it to anybody.

I am so grateful to everyone in the Scoonie House Care Home team who cared so beautifully for my mother. She died content, at peace and I do believe felt loved by her carers. I could not have asked for more. Thank you so much.

Since my mum moved into Scoonie House her quality of life has improved beyond measure. She has made new friends and is participating in numerous activities. All of the care staff behave with the utmost professionalism.

My mum has just spent 2 weeks of respite care with you. On behalf of myself and my family, we would like to thank you all for the care she received. It also enabled my dad to have a well-needed rest which helped him so much.

I regard Scoonie House to be an excellent care home. My association with the staff has been exceptional, and the needs of residents are taken on board. My mother has been cared for within Scoonue House for six-plus years, and I haven't any concerns that have not been dealt with to my satisfaction. I would rate this care home with a 9/10.

Having been in the care home for almost three months now, I am settling into the routine. I am more relaxed and settled in the knowledge that carers and helpers are always on hand should I require assistance.
