View Full Details of Kintyre House Care HomeMy aunt has lived in Kintyre for a number of years. In that time, she has become increasingly frail and her needs more complex. The staff at Kintyre are caring and compassionate and have adapted how they support my aunt as her needs have changed. They have always responded positively and speedily when I raised concerns and I can tell from the way her face lights up when carers enter the room that she feels safe, valued and loved by the people around her. The activities on offer vary depending on what the residents enjoy and how they are feeling on that day, but what they have in common is fun and dignity. In the last few weeks, my aunt has been really under the weather, and I will never forget the heartfelt compassion shown by staff. This is what we want for our loved ones - to know that when we are not able to be with them, they are with people who show them love and are there with them when they are at their most vulnerable. It is the staff that makes Kintyre special!
Caring staff who always take the time to speak and keep us well informed. Lovely outlook at the home overlooking gardens and the sea. Home is always clean and tidy and varied entertainment and trips out are provided.
Fantastic care home. Staff are all friendly and very helpful. Plenty of activities to keep the residents occupied. The care my dad receives is above and beyond. Thank you for all you do for my dad. Glad to see he is in good hands.
I have visited this care home regularly throughout March 2023. The staff are all friendly to me and very caring to my mum, who is a resident, now bedridden. She is checked on regularly, and her position is moved frequently. I couldn't ask for more care for her, and I am very happy with all aspects of this.
Very warm and welcoming atmosphere. Staff are all wonderful, helpful, friendly and professional. The home is clean and tidy, well-run and managed. My father is well cared for, clean, treated with dignity, respect and love. Very good medical care and attention. Very grateful for Kintyre House Care Home and every member of staff who works here.
It is my pleasure and privilege to say this is truly a care home in the true sense of the work and for each and everyone to be so proud of it. All in all, absolutely excellent! What a wonderful example of what a care home should and must be. Every visit is such a great pleasure. May they all go from strength to strength. God bless.
I am very happy with the care my granny-in-law receives at Kintyre, family are always kept in the loop, meals are nice and can cook whatever she may fancy. Always clean and tidy with no unpleasant odours, staff are very friendly and approachable.
Great honest staff, fantastic activities very clean facility good selection of meals and always offering taster menus for families of residents prior to new menu changes. Hairdressing and pedicures are available on a regular basis.
Staff always make me feel welcome when I visit Mum. Today I was able to have my lunch with her, lovely fish and chips! Mum said it was lovely to have a member of the family to eat with her, this is something that she misses now she doesn't have her own home.
My parents were admitted into Kintyre House residential care home in August and my family and I have been incredibly impressed by the care and attention that the staff at the home have provided. My mum, unfortunately, passed away in September however the team afforded us great support throughout such a trying period. Now, my dad has settled well in his new surroundings and enjoys being involved in the daily events that the home arrange. We would really recommend Kintyre House to anyone considering residential care for their loved ones.
In the view of myself and my wife, my brother has received excellent care and he feels very much at home. He goes on many outings and the daily games and entertainment is enjoyed by all. Food is very good and varied and the staff are always polite and helpful. Cleanliness is always to a very high standard.
My father has been in Kintyre House for 6 months and thinks he is staying in a hotel, the care he gets is, in my and my 2 sisters' minds, very good. There are no unpleasant odours when you enter the home and it is always scrupulously clean. My father's health is well monitored and if there is a problem we are always contacted and kept informed. The staff are all friendly and my wife and I always get a warm welcome when we visit. My father went to Kintyre House because the care he was getting from his previous care provider was lacking, to say the least, he was left wet for 3 days on 2 occasions when the local social services stepped in and found his placement. It is with pleasure I would recommend Kintyre House as a safe caring environment for people with Alzheimer's and Dementia, like my 91-year-old father.
I am very happy in the care home and the staff are exceptional to me, I enjoy the activities on offer and especially church service on a Sunday when I am able to attend. I enjoy the meals, I feel that they are alright and alternatives are on offer. My room has recently been redecorated and I am delighted with the outcome.
Kintyre is my home, my room is homely and always tidy. I enjoy my meals each day, I am always involved the daily activities and I enjoy socialising with all the other friendly residents. Staff treat me with respect and always make me smile.
The room is a decent size but although it boasts an en suite the shower is not fit for purpose so Dad has to be taken to a communal shower room. Communication is not great and when concerns are raised they tend to be brushed aside and never fully dealt with. Staff are friendly but overworked so unable to cover more than just the bare basics, and even then there are times when the basic care is stretched.
The staff have been amazing with my mum. I’m so grateful for the manager (past and present) and her awesome team, from senior nurses to kitchen staff. Everyone has been so good to my mum and her particular needs, nothing is too much trouble and I feel so comforted knowing she’s being looked after by these guys. It’s never an easy decision for your loved ones to go into care but all the staff here are fab and so upbeat, even on my mum's more negative days. Thank you to the entire team, there aren’t enough words for how grateful I am.
This is a great care home with fantastic carers who do an excellent job with the residents. Well done to you all for all the hard work that you do. My mum has settled in really well here and loves being around all the girls and helping them out doing tasks during the day.
Very polite staff and very kind towards my Great Aunty. Thank you very much!
Polite and friendly staff - grandfather appears settled and in a happy environment.
All staff members are always friendly and helpful at times of communication. Many thanks, for everyone's assistance.
