View Full Details of Mull Hall Care HomeMy mum has settled into Mull Hall very well. The staff have been kind and supportive from initial meetings to discuss the possibility of her moving in and this has continued with the support she receives from the staff day to day. The staff are always ready to listen to any concerns and make sure that they do the very best for every resident. The activity coordinators provide a variety of fun events to keep the residents entertained. They are positive and cheerful and always welcoming to us as a family when we visit Mum. I highly recommend Mull Hall.
We are very happy with the care and attention given to my mum-in-law in Mull Hall. She is very happy and contented there and has made new friends. It has given us peace of mind to know she's well looked after by the very caring staff. Communication is also very good too.
My mum became a resident just before Christmas after spending 4 months in hospital. All the staff have been terrific - very welcoming and friendly and working really well as a team to make my mum's transition as easy as possible. I have been impressed with the facilities and witnessed on numerous occasions the love, care and respect everyone is treated with - there is a lot of fun and laughter too. Visitors are made to feel very welcome and the atmosphere is very warm, friendly and nurturing. It definitely has a strong community spirit when time is taken to get to know residents and their families. I have been so impressed and cannot thank the staff enough for their dedication, humour, skills and care.
The staff have been welcoming and friendly on my visits and although understandably busy, seem attentive and caring to the residents and to know them personally and as individuals and take time to speak and interact with them. This helps create a warm and homely atmosphere. The decorations and care paid to enhance the environment over the festive period were lovely touches, and the extra activities included music events. I have been able to eat a meal (very good food lovingly prepared) with my Mum or have a cup of tea together on occasion, which is very much appreciated. There are quiet and calm areas to sit as well as a range of activities in the larger room. The manager and deputy manager both took the trouble to introduce themselves to us and have proved very approachable. I have had a very favourable impression overall and am grateful to the team at Mull Hall.
Mum moved into Mull Hall Care Home in mid-December, having previously been in hospital over three months, awaiting a place in a care home. Prior to her getting her place, I had had the opportunity to visit Mull Hall, see the facilities and chat with the assistant manager. It was a very helpful visit and I was impressed by the staff who I saw there, their interaction with the residents and the facilities. Along with the activity programme. Mum has settled well into Mull Hall with a nice bedroom which she has been able to customise with some belongings from her former home. During my visit to Mum, I have been impressed with the friendliness of the staff and the obvious care they take of those who live there. Mull Hall has a positive atmosphere and I am really happy that Mum was able to stay there.
My dad moved into Mull Hall Care Home on the 23rd of December and has settled surprisingly quickly. The staff have been amazing and have made a very difficult and upsetting time a lot easier for both me and my father. Leaving your loved ones to the care of others is one of the hardest things you will ever do but knowing he is happy makes it so much easier. All the staff are so lovely and caring and spend time getting to know the residents. The care I have witnessed, so far, has been heartwarming. In the short time he has been there, he has already had a few medical concerns and the staff have kept me updated at all times. A great team.
Friendly staff, caring and take care of each resident. Dignified and thoughtful, getting to know the residents, their likes and dislikes. Excellent menu and happy to offer anything else the residents would prefer. Place is always welcoming, spotlessly clean and inviting.
My mum became a resident on the 27th December 2024, the staff have been so accommodating in helping her feel at home. Nothing is too much trouble for them and they are very caring, kind and compassionate. Their level of care is above and beyond anything I was expecting from a care home but they go that extra mile. The food is excellent, activities are great, lots of day rooms where you can join in with others or have a quiet spot to sit and enjoy the beautiful views. Bedrooms are large and spacious and well thought out, the ability to take any items from home there is a huge benefit to making it feel like your own wee sanctuary. As a daily visitor, I certainly could not find fault with any aspect of the care provided, the food, activities or the home in general. Just a delightful place and people and a huge weight off my mind knowing my mum has such a high level of care being given.
I've been going to Mull Hall for over 2 years now and I can emphasise my gratitude to the staff and management, for the kindness and warmth shown to my wife and myself. Mull Hall is a care home I would recommend to anyone, everyone is made to feel welcome and the staff make you feel at home.
Having observed my mother for several weeks leading up to her passing on 23/01/24, I was in awe of the professional care that I witnessed my mother receiving from all levels of staff from cleaners to management and their efforts to make my mother as comfortable as possible through such a hard time. At all times, my mother was treated with love, affection and dignity to levels that were beyond belief. This care was also extended to all of my family and this totally left us in awe of the carers who are more like angels. Thank you.
Staff are brilliant. They take really good care of everyone. I was going to ask them if the visiting minister could visit Mum in her room. It was all arranged before I even asked as they had picked up on Mum saying she wished she had gone to church. Mum is not able to be up and about now but they make time to see her and chat and meet her needs.
Mum is a long-term resident at Mull Hall and has had exceptional care the whole time she has been there. Mum has dementia which has steadily deteriorated over time but her care has always been excellent and completely appropriate for the stage of her illness. The staff are wonderful and we are very very thankful for the care they give to our mum.
I have found Mull Hall to be a warm, friendly, caring environment. The staff are always welcoming and willing to help in any way they can. I feel they go above and beyond, which I have no doubt, is reflected in Mum’s ease of settling in. She’s been a resident for 18 months now and considers Mull Hall her home.
I do not visit too often due to living far from the home but when I do I always feel welcome. Mostly Mum and I spend time in her room catching up but I am aware of activities for residents who want to join in. There always seems to be a relaxed atmosphere. If I have any concerns or need to share my views of how Mum is I feel I can approach a staff member. For relatives, they have a bimonthly meeting which you can attend in person or remotely which is helpful. A digital group for peer support. They are always keen to hear any suggestions for improving or developing the service they provide.
My review relates to the entire time my wife has been in your care. I am more than satisfied with the care she receives. I have found your staff to be most attentive to the residents and indeed to visitors as well. The love they give and the dignity they afford the residents are most heartwarming. I think most families of loved ones appreciate that the jobs your staff do are not easy, yet they go about their duties with a smile and a kind word for all. May I say that I am most impressed with the young carers. Some are barely out of their teens. Some perhaps are still teenagers, yet they perform their duties with great empathy for their charges. I would certainly recommend Mull Hall, in fact, if I find myself, as well I may, in need of going into a care home, I pray that it will be Mull Hall.
Mull Hall has a lovely homely friendly atmosphere and is very welcoming, beautifully clean and has a happy atmosphere. Staff are helpful and residence are well looked after with activities, lovely nutritious food and outings.
My mum is not able to participate in activities the same now but she is included in events happening in the lounge. The staff are all very pleasant and work hard. Mull Hall is always a happy welcoming place.
I cannot praise this team highly enough. Every single member of staff in absolutely every area of work gives such care, love, assurance and understanding to each and every resident. More than that, the consideration, friendship and thoughtfulness to family members is second to none. Mum has been unwell over Christmas and New Year so we shared Hogmanay with her in her room. We witnessed elderly people having such fun - singing, enjoying drinks and snacks whilst wishing each other Happy New Year! We will book in next year! Well done to you all.
Mull Hall is a welcoming place with happy friendly staff. Any problems or concerns you have, they try their best to sort. They are always open to suggestions to help make it better. The management is nice and relaxed so you don’t feel intimidated to say something.
I cannot fault the staff at Mull Hall. They have gone above and beyond to help my mum settle into the home and are always very welcoming. It has been a very hard time adjusting to her loss of independence but the staff have made it so easy.
