View Full Details of Castlegreen Care HomeDuring mum's time at Castlegreen Care Home, every effort was made to ensure she was comfortable and at ease. Not only were meals, medication, laundry, and help with personal cleanliness etc., a priority but she got join activities and outings too. Whenever possible, the staff worked hard to make things that were important to her, important to them. For instance, personalising her room, helping her spend a day in bed, when that's what she wanted, and striving to treat her with kindness, respect, and warmth. Any concerns we raised or requests we made, were swiftly addressed and when I couldn't be with her, I knew she was well cared for. At one point in her life, I remember mum saying, 'I just want to be me' and fortunately, there were SO many people in Castlegreen who valued her for being exactly that. I have no way to adequately express my gratitude - she could not have been anywhere better for the final months of her life. Thank you.
Mum moved in at the end of January 2023. I found all the staff very polite and helpful, always willing to go the extra mile. Mum has had problems settling in, but the staff have been understanding and patient. I would love to give them all a big thank you, and I feel confident that Mum is being looked after well.
Staff have done an excellent job during this very difficult period, trying to keep residents spirits up and helping keep in touch with relatives. Things are slowly getting back to normal and it is great to be able to visit my mum twice a week, really looking forward to being able to take her out again. The activities staff are making a special effort to get residents involved and it’s great to see pictures on Facebook. The new manager has weekly Zoom calls which I find very informative.
My mother was made very welcome at Castlegreen since she arrived in August 2018. Staff were friendly and encouraged her to get involved in the activities which were always well organised, with a regular program of events which Mum enjoyed. The care she received was excellent as were the facilities. We had regular reviews with her named nurses who we can't praise highly enough. Thank you all for everything you did for my mum.
My experience of Castlegreen Care Home has been phenomenally positive. My mother moved here in July 2018, when the care home she was in closed. From the moment our mum was assessed, to moving in and the one and a half years of exceptional care whilst here, my mum thrived in the positive, caring, genuine atmosphere. All the staff, throughout her journey, have been attentive, respectful and joyful. Very professional, but human. The activities in particular (especially the staff) enhanced Mum's life greatly. The Eilean Donan wing is wonderful. Sadly Mum passed away in April 2020 but her care and ours has been faultless.
I would like to say that the staff have been great with my mother. The manager and her team have done a great job looking after her.
My husband has been in Castlegreen for the last four months. He is well looked after. His room is a good size and comfortable. Unfortunately with the virus, I am unable to visit and can’t always speak to him on the phone. I would have appreciated more contact from staff to let me know how he is doing. The staff seem nice and one member of staff, in particular, has been very helpful and nothing is too much trouble for her. She has been great! Another has also been good at keeping in touch in the evenings.
On behalf of my family and myself we would like to say a massive thank you to all the staff in Castlegreen Care Home you have all gone above and beyond your job roles. You have taken our family member into your hearts and treated them as your own, your actions have spoken very high words. During this difficult time you have made us feel so close to our loved one with FaceTimes from your own phone and being able to see my nanna has made the family so happy and helped us over this sad time of not being able to get in. We are so grateful and appreciate everything that you are doing. Before the pandemic, I loved how welcoming and a happy team of staff that took time out to find out about my nanna from us. I also noticed that the place was very clean and always tidy with lovely areas that the residents could go to so that they had a lot of space and areas to go to. How you allowed us to bring in her comforts from her home so she was able to feel more relaxed and at the home. A massive thank you.
My mother has been here for two years and all the staff attend to her needs 100 per cent. They are always happy to help and take care of their patients with the utmost respect. The home is clean and friendly and I would recommend it to anyone looking for care of their loved ones.
I can't thank Castlegreen enough for the loving care they give my father. My mother was also in Castlegreen Care Home until her death last May. All the staff are excellent and it's always spotless whenever you go in. Thank you very much Castlegreen.
My mum has been been in the home since the end of December. We have found the care staff very helpful and understanding, particularly during this pandemic. My mum gets assistance with charging her phone (our only means of communication at the moment) which she cannot do by herself. I have to mention one carer in particular who has been kind enough to use her own phone so me and my dad can Facetime my mum. She has gone above and beyond and we appreciate it so much. Thank you.
My mother spent eight months in Castlegreen Care Home and until her death in April 2020. During her time there she was very well looked after. The carers and nursing staff and all at the home do a great job under very difficult circumstances. As a family, it was comforting to know she was receiving good care and would recommend the home to potential residents.
My 97-year-old mother has been with Castle Green Care Home since August 2018. She has been really well looked after. All the staff appear to be very caring. I live in Cape Town, South Africa but have been back three times to visit her and made contact with quite a few of the staff. The staff are all very patient and caring. I could not have hoped for a better nursing home for my mother. I left a tablet for her which the staff very kindly flash up regularly so I am able to see Mum and chat to her. The chatting is difficult, as her powers of cognitivity are getting poorer. She also has trouble with her hearing aids, she regularly loses one, so chatting is hard but my mind is at rest because I can see her which is good. She still recognizes me which is also good. Staff also keep me informed on her health.
