View Full Details of Rashielee Care Home and Day CentreRashielee Care Home and Day Centre, I am grateful to have found a wonderful, organised, happy and caring home for my husband. All staff are amazing, friendly and helpful to residents and relatives alike. There are lots of activities on offer led by two ladies over the week. It may be soup making, Bingo, crafts, movie time, sing-along or general chit-chat. Twice a week the children from the primary school visit. They are a joy and the residents love their time together. I see my husband almost every day. If I have a question regarding his care I speak to the clinic or staff on duty. They listen to me and sort it out. I can return home knowing all is well. Thank you Rashielee.
The team at Rashielee were with us every step of my dad's journey, I consider us lucky to have found them. From respite to permanent and finally palliative care, they took such good care of my dad, and of us. The epitome of kindness, patience and professionalism with a huge sprinkling of fun and laughter in the day-to-day. This is a team you feel safe with to hold your loved ones' space, they will always have our gratitude.
Mum came into Rashielee on 24 May 2024. Has taken a while to settle in but with the help and care of the staff is adjusting to her new surroundings. The staff are very loving and caring and go out of their way to make sure that the mum is happy and loved while I am not there. They arrange activities to keep the residents active and engaged. If I have needed advice they are there to help me navigate Mum's illness. I know Mum is in the right place with kind and caring staff.
My mum has been in Rashilee care home for two years now, and all the staff have been great with her - all really caring and understanding as they help her with the dementia journey that she is on. I can't thank them enough for all the help and assistance they have given my mum in all the time she has been a resident.
Mom joined this residence in December 2023 having been in another care facility for five years. She has had dementia for seven years. She is a different person since coming here. She joins in all the activities, is eating better, looks healthier and is happier in herself. The management team and care team are the best I have ever come across. Every resident is treated as though they are royalty. The place is spotless and the gardens are beautiful. My Mum will see her days out in comfort surrounded by people who care for her as much as we do. That's all I ever wanted for her.
Mum has been in this care home since October 2022. She took a while to settle. Now the staff treat her like family and she just loves them. Especially one staff member in particular! Mum's favourite. Such good banter between them. I have nothing but praise for the staff. Management are pretty special. They are so caring and always do what's right for the residents. They always have time to listen to any concerns. It's a happy place to be, there's always activities going on for residents. Bingo, games, sports days, singing dancing. Animal visits, school kid visits. I could go on.
Rashielee made an extremely sad time for us as a family a lot better. Mum was looked after, loved, treated with care, respect and dignity. The residents are kept stimulated with a varied lot of games, cooking, painting, singers, schoolchildren visiting, movie afternoons. The staff all have patients' best interests at heart and also the families. Any concerns we had were treated quickly and professionally. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Rashielee for your loved one.
I want to thank you all so much for the care you give my mum while visiting in respite. All the staff are fantastic. You above and beyond your daily tasks, to make the residents feel part of a family. I honestly cannot thank you enough. The deputy manager is truly a special woman. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
My aunt was a resident within the home for approx 18 months. During this time my aunt's care, health and wellbeing was a priority to all who worked in the home. Staff demonstrated understanding and kindness at all times. They saw my aunt as an individual with her own needs, rights and unique personality and nurtured this. As a family, we were always welcomed by a friendly face at reception and this continued no matter which part of the home you were in. A wide range of activities were provided regularly. Staff were always asking about key interests my aunt had to ensure they were supporting her favourite music and movies for example. Sadly, my aunt passed away in May. The level of care given prior to and after her passing was outstanding. Managers, nurses and carers ensured her passing was peaceful and dignified, taking full account of my aunt's and her family's wishes. The leadership of the home is very strong resulting in the high quality service provided. Thank you.
Can't praise this care home enough. The staff are absolutely amazing and nothing is too much trouble for them. The activities they put on for everyone are outstanding and are geared perfectly to the group as well as individual needs. They provide excellent stimulation and enjoyment. My mum is known as a souper trouper as she is involved in making soup which is eaten by her friends in the home. The management and nursing staff are always on hand to explain any worries my mum or I have. This care home is exceptional and I have recommended it to so many of my friends.
Had such an amazing day at such a well-organised Sports Day... Everything was geared so family and residents got to join in the fun together... Food and drinks laid on for everyone and the sun shone for us... Lovely to sit with your loved one in a relaxed and well-organised event.
My father has been a resident in the home from November 2023, every member of staff has been very good with him since he has gone in. My Dad cannot really do anything for himself so I am very grateful for everything that all staff do. They are all very caring people.
My father became a resident in August 2023, he had dementia. My family and I were worried about how he would manage with the transition into a care home. The excellence of the management team cascaded to all the staff, including carers, domestics, nurses, kitchen staff etc. Everyone was caring, friendly, and approachable. One of the carers would engage with Dad in one-to-one activities such as playing pool. The chef made my Dad's favourite- Tiramisu. We knew we had made the correct decision when we moved Dad into the home, Dad was safe and well looked after. Unfortunately, in January, my dad moved to end of life care, and was then moved onto end of life care. The staff kept myself and family involved in his care, allowing us to spend precious time with him. I will never forget the way they treated my Dad, with the utmost dignity and respect. This will stay with our family forever. My Dad had a peaceful and a good death, which was made possible by the staff within the home.
My Dad has been in Rashielee for nearly two years and suffers from dementia. It was a massive change for him but the staff made this change so much easier. He settled very quickly and now thinks of it as home. Staff are exceptional with the assistant manager particularly great. Regular updates on how my dad is, genuine interest in what more they can do to help him and always keen to hear from me and my brother about how we feel his care is. Highly recommend Rashielee - lovely care home.
Rashielee is a fantastic place to live in as staff are one team from top to bottom. They don't only look after residents but staff as well giving an excellent home-from-home feeling and staff loving their jobs and want to come to work daily. When I visit I notice all residents' needs are looked after and you can ask any member of staff anything and if they don't know they will find out for you. If for any reason you need anything, want something or not happy you can approach management and it is immediately done with no questions asked. I wouldn't leave my mother with anyone but this home is the best.
Mum has been in Rashielee for 7 months now and the change in her is amazing. She now seems more interested in life. The staff, from reception all the way through to nursing staff, are all so attentive and take time with each of the residents and listen to what they have to say, as well as keeping family up to date with Mum's care, despite being very busy. Have had experience with other care homes in the past (not for Mum) and can honestly say that the care and the amount of different activities on offer, are the best. The only thing that I would like to see improved (and I know they are working on it) is the laundry gets a bit mixed up, but that is something we can live with!
My wife is very well looked after. The staff are very helpful and there's an excellent level of communication with relatives. There are plenty of activities for residents to participate in throughout the year.
We needed somewhere for Dad very quickly - Rashielee were really helpful and accommodating, including the early challenges of transitioning to a care home environment. Dad's had a few ups and downs since then, but it's all been handled in a friendly and professional manner. I'm seriously impressed how every single member of staff knows every single resident, their personal likes and dislikes and so quickly after settling in. The care is really proactive - we never have to push for interventions, the team are already ahead of the game in recognising issues and dealing with them. It's everything we could have asked for and more - the atmosphere is so welcoming for every person who walks through the door.
Rashielee Care Home and their staff are amazing, they take good care of all the residents and family of the residents are always made welcome. The staff are very friendly and accommodating if need be and easy to talk to if you have any questions or queries and my dad is very well taken care of. If I had to rate them from 1-10 and I would give them 20.
Mum was transferred to Rashielee in April this year, having previously been a resident in two other care homes. Rashielee had been on my radar for some time as arguably the gold standard of care homes in the local area. Our family had hoped, after difficult experiences with previous care homes, that we might be able to care for Mum in her own home, but after this proved unfeasible, I immediately placed Mum on Rashielee's waiting list and was delighted when a place became available 7 weeks later. The level of care provided, as well as the day-to-day commitment to Mum's quality of life and the genuine empathy shown, has exceeded even the high expectations I had (having spoken with residents' families and others involved with the local care sector). I would not hesitate to recommend Rashielee to anyone looking for a caring home; I have instructed the management to forward my details to anyone wishing for a more personal account of our family's overall experience there.
