View Full Details of Rosaburn HouseMum has now been in Rosaburn for just over a year, and at 94 I didn't expect much, but the staff have got her looking better and more aware than she was 12 months ago. All the staff are very pleasant and always listen to your requests and deal with them when time permits. Considering the other care homes available at the time Rosaburn was by far the best in the area, cost and facilities were obviously a criteria we had to take into account, but at no time were we pressured into anything and I can see how happy my Mum is , that they're obviously fulfilling her day to day help and requirements.
All Rosaburn House staff are friendly, approachable and extremely caring. There is a family-like atmosphere within Rosaburn where all staff know the residents very well and also their visitors which certainly helps to put us at ease knowing that our loved one is cared for very well. We are particularly pleased with the staff contacting us via telephone or email whenever necessary and very promptly regarding health updates etc. We definitely chose the best option for our loved one and would recommend Rosaburn to other families due to the attention given to all residents and the respectful manner always being shown towards both residents and families.
The staff are wonderful. Four members of staff in particular all feel like family. The care they show my Gran is not just surface-level care but a deep connection where my gran is treated like an individual. They get to really know the residents. When I visit I feel like I'm going into a genuinely caring world. The residents and the staff make it feel like a community.
Can't fault a thing, all areas of the Home are well cared for and every member of staff from the Receptionists to the Nursing staff are lovely, helpful, friendly, and kind, we are reassured that our Mum is in safe hands, and is well looked after and has plenty of company.
My uncle has been a resident at Rosaburn for a year and is fast approaching his 94th birthday. He arrived via a circuitous route, given that he lived in Hamilton, but was hospitalised at Hairmyres in December 2023. I took advice from one of the nurses on his ward as to the Care Homes in East Kilbride - they said that Rosaburn and its sister home were 'head and shoulders' above the others and, fortunately for my uncle, a place became available during his hospital stay. I was slightly nervous when I brought him in, especially as he had been used to living alone for the past few decades. However, once we'd negotiated the first lunch, he quickly settled down. He's always been active and this continues. Indeed, I would say, he currently seems to be doing a bit of an 'aging in reverse' and getting more sprightly. Long may it continue!
My Mum has been a resident of Rosaburn for almost 4 years. In that time the family has found that Mum has been well looked after. Staff keep the family informed if any medical issues arise. Mum is treated with respect and dignity. Staff also talk and joke with her which she loves. We the family could not be happier with Rosaburn and the staff. Would have no hesitation in recommending it.
This year My Aunt celebrated her 94th birthday, having spent approx 18 months in the care of the Staff at Rosaburn. The staff as a collective has made my Aunts stay as good as it could be. Knowing this has lifted the many years of worry on my part knowing how well she has been looked after. The smiles and laughter on her birthday said it all. Will always be grateful.
My aunt moved into Rosaburn's Care Home in Aug 24. The staff have been amazing and helped my aunt settle well and have been looking after her each day really well. She's up and ready to enjoy time in the lounge on days she feels able and that makes such a difference to her spirit and lust 4 life. She has everything she needs each day and is delighted with the selection of food especially sweeties now she has such a sweet tooth. Highly recommend this home, lovely caring staff, and a friendly warm environment.
My husband with Alzheimer's spent the last 10 months of his life in the care of Rosaburn House. All the staff were attentive to his personal needs and were very supportive to me and the family chatting to us every time we visited. If my husband wasn't keen on having his meal, the staff encouraged him out of his room with a cheese sandwich and a cup of tea! Nothing was too much trouble for the hard-working staff. The home was luxuriously decorated and welcoming from the moment we entered and we knew we'd made the right decision in choosing Rosaburn House.
My Mum spent the last year of her life at Rosaburn, she had Alzheimer's. The staff were very supportive and helped with her varying needs very well. At some points, she would not sit to eat so she was fed on the move. My mum was also quite an adept pickpocket and would take keys/pens, the staff used humour to deal with this. I was kept informed of any developments in her health and care plan. My Mum was always treated with respect and dignity. Over and above that, they chatted to her and she was always laughing and smiling. I would highly recommend Rosaburn to anyone who has a relative with Alzheimer's.
My mum has been a resident in the care home since January 2024. She has settled in very well and the staff have been absolutely fantastic with her. I couldn't have picked a better care home for my mum.
Mum has been a resident for 2 years and we are really happy with the care she receives. The home is very welcoming and the staff are professional, friendly, and helpful. Any health issues are brought to my attention and dealt with swiftly. There are plenty of activities to take part in and entertainment on a regular basis. Mum's room is always fresh, clean and tidy, the catering is really good too. I feel that the team looks after Mum like one of their own and I am confident that Mum is being well looked after.
I feel the team at Rosaburn works in the best interest of Mum. If I have a concern the team address my concern quickly and effectively. The personal interaction is perfect for Mum and I believe they manage by exception. Mum now calls Rosaburn home and that is what it is. Mum has company when she needs it and care and attention when she needs it. A great team that works towards making the residents as comfortable as possible.
My mum has been resident in Rosaburn for over four years and I can honestly say that I have had no concerns at all in all that time. She is well cared for with respect and dignity which is what we all want for our loved ones. She is happy and content and feels safe and has built relationships with all the staff that work with her. The staff are all fantastic and I'm quickly informed by senior staff if mum is out of sorts and off colour and if the doctor is called etc and any treatment plan implemented. We are kept updated in regards to any issues that may arise which I am grateful for. The senior nursing staff also are great at answering queries etc and giving advice and support if needed. The catering and cleaning staff as well as the care staff show great compassion and understanding of the residents also.
I have found all staff very helpful, supportive and kind to both my mum and myself. It took my mum a while to settle into her new home but the ability to take her own belongings and personalise her lovely room, along with the kindness and support from staff has helped her. She has joined in with activities such as flower arranging, watching movies, food tastings etc. My mum has been frail for many years and had many admissions to hospital over the past few years - I am finding that I'm much more relaxed knowing that she is safe and looked after very well. When she has health problems she is checked over very quickly and treated appropriately. She has been able to get her hair done at the on-site hairdresser, and also be taken out to the very close by restaurant and supermarket cafe by wheelchair. Overall Rosaburn House is in an excellent location, the rooms and communal seating areas are very comfortable and all of the staff are helpful and caring.
